Kin's Kitchen

Alba T.

Google
For going on 3 years, Kin’s Kitchen has been a necessity in my home. This is by far my favorite Chinese food I have had in the south. Coming from NYC my Chinese food standards are astronomically high so when I say they deliver, they deliver!! Today, Señor Kin gave my husband a calendar with our order and can I just say, it touched my heart. Señor Kin I just want you to know that I will cherish this gift forever and I have hung it as a centerpiece in my hallway. Thank you for the delicious meals and the fabulous calendar.

Google
Food was ok, not the best, but not the worst. They must do most of their business as take out. The dining area felt like I was in their storage room. They did have a 96 rating. Service was quick. Probably will not eat there again. I got the chicken and vegetables with fried rice and add shrimp.

kayla S.

Google
the Chicken Mei Fun was tasty and exactly what I was craving. The guy who took our order was really nice and even let us get a free drink. Thanks! Food was decent and not too pricey.

Google
We always get take out and it never disappoints!

Google
You can't go inside. Call to order. Their website is down, so you have to go in person to see a menu. I also posted pictures of the menu. Cross fingers it doesn't change soon. I went a little bonkers with the photos. Sometimes food looks better plated. Sometimes it's good straight out of the container. 🤷 Pork egg foo young: 4/5 The omelettes were tasty but under-seasoned on their own, requiring the sauce. The sauce made the omelettes infinitely tastier, but wasn't the gravy I'm used to. Sweet & sour chicken: 4/5 The sauce was really good. It wasn't cloyingly sweet. The breading was solid. Shrimp chow mein: 4/5 The shrimp was well cooked, plenty of veggies, just a tad bland. Veggie fried rice: 4/5 I'm used to egg in fried rice rice, which this was missing (possibly because veggie?) but still tasty. Fortune cookie: 5/5 Solid cookie. The guy at the window was friendly, the food was well-packed to go, the turnaround was quick (10-20 minute wait). I don't know if I'll crave this enough to make the 30 minute drive, but if this was closer it would definitely be on rotation.

Google
The food wasn't bad. Wanted to eat out but the place is geared for take out. Tried to eat there but wound up taking it home anyway.

Google
My kids weren’t sure what they wanted to eat and they decided for Kin’s Kitchen but noticed they were closing very soon. To our surprise they took our order very kindly and greeted us respectfully when we picked it up. Aside that their food is really good, I was super impressed by their customer service.

Google
I've been going here since I was little and everyone working there has always been super nice the food is always good and fills you up its always the best Chinese place to go too :)

Yelp
Wow, wish we had found sooner. Damn best Chinese we have had in a while. Super fresh, very tasty. U will not be disappointed! Got General Tsos chicken, Bourbon chicken, pork fried rice, & cream cheese raggons. All were great! We will be back when in area.

Yelp
The prices were fair but the food was easily subpar. The fried rice was pale and bland. The teriyaki chicken skewers were rubbery and seasoning was not good. For me if a Chinese restaurant doesn't have good fried rice, it falls dramatically short in other areas too.

Cynthia B.

Yelp
Have had many meals there, and it is always fresh . My favorite is the egg foo yung. And they don't skimp on the food.

Yelp
Do not even think about ordering takeout or dining in during the evening rush or weekends. Told twenty minutes and had to wait over an hour. These thing happen sometimes...but no apology for the wait. I was looking forward to my general Tso's chicken after that long wait, but there was no broccoli at all in it! I called them and they said they stopped putting broccoli in last year. Picture on the wall still shows broccoli. I shouldn't have to ask what's in each entree before I order.

Yelp
Glad I tried Kin's. Got the Hunan Triple and was very impressed. Food is great, will be going back. Got takeout and was packaged well (still hot and fresh by the time I got back to the hotel). Staff was friendly.

Yelp
I moved to Hendersonville a year ago and have been looking for good Chinese food since I moved in. I had stopped into the strip mall where Kin's is located and thought the menu looked interesting. The next Sunday I looked up the info online and found that the only way to order was to call. I called and ordered shrimp lo mein combo (comes with an egg roll and fried rice), Hot and sour soup and fried dumplings. It was off peak, so 15 minutes later I had my food at a very reasonalbe cost. The fried dumplings and egg roll were perfectly fried, not oily but crispy. The Sweet and sour soup was delicious with just the right amount of heat. The shrimp lo mein was flavorful and full of vegetable and tofu. The portions were enough for 2 meals as well. I strongly recommend Kin's Kitchen.

Yelp
This place is always good and the owner is so nice and always give great customer service. Food is always awesome and there's plenty for a great price.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Great hot and sour soup, fantastic rice (this surprised me because I normally am not impressed by the smell or taste of rice from a restaurant), and wonderful customer service :)
google avatar

Jacqueline B.

Yelp
Finally!!! I have been looking for my go to Chinese restaurant in the area and have finally find the one. This one is about 30 minutes away from me but it is worth the drive. All the other Chinese restaurants I've been too are bland, dry, and stale. This place is the exact opposite. Rice was fresh. Orange chicken and sesame tofu was excellent. I would 1000% recommend this place to others.
google avatar

Gabrielle G.

Yelp
This was a convenient place to get Chinese food to go. I got the vegetarian noodles, and I picked up chicken chow mein for my family members. The food was good. The vegetarian spring rolls were small but not bad. One of my family members got a pork egg roll and said it was good. I think the hot and sour soup was my favorite as it had nice flavor with the right amount of spice. I would return if I were in the area.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed the food from Kin's Kitchen pre-covid and was excited to hear it re-opened. But everything I ordered there last week was a huge disappointment. In fact, most of it ended up in the garbage. I ordered a couple of pork egg rolls and let me start with that. They were exactly as tastless and difficult to eat as the ones, if you ever dared try to eat, from the dollar store. Yes, the inside was that same mush. The wrap was inedible. There was no fresh vegetables inside, nor was there a tad of meat if any kind. The dish I ordered was a vegetable rice noodle dish. If anything, you'd expect some actual vegetables in it but there was only a tiny amount of julianed carrot strips and very bitter cabbage. No sauce of any kind. If you'd taken the vegetables out , they may have fit in a large serving spoon. There was less than a handful of very thin stips of 2 vegetables! I'm shocked after reading the recent reviews! Did I just stop in on an off day? Well, getting dollar store quality egg rolls says I didn't! I've never before had bad egg rolls from any restaurant in town. Just sad!

Medardo C.

Yelp
Very good quick hot, flavorful and freshly cooked Chinese food. Best take out in town.
google avatar

Cori B.

Yelp
Wish I would have taken a picture of the food before my family devoured it! Everything was beautiful and delicious! My normal Chinese food restaurant was closed because of vacation so I checked this place out, they are behind cook out. They did not disappoint! The man on the register so was nice and friendly too. Great spot!

Phyllis H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! A friend at work recommended Kin's and I was so impressed! Clean and friendly people.
google avatar

Yelp
They reopened its great to see that they are back serving great food! We ate so happy they opened back again. The food is always fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Just great cheap Chinese food. Our family's go to place. Highly recommended to anyone

Yelp
Best carry out Chinese in Hendersonville Just found out 3 Stars Garlic. ITS AMAZING

Deb J.

Yelp
It's take out only and typical Chinese menu. It was ok. Not great, not really bad. It was hot at least. I love egg foo yong and this is the first time it came in what appeared to be premade patty form. It's usually messy sort of eggy goodness. Not many choices around here but I would not rush back.

Robert B.

Yelp
The ambience is the pits. We had takeout twice so I can't comment on the service. It is one of two halfway decent Chinese restaurants in Hendersonville. I've had better Chinese ~~ but not in Hendersonville.

Pamela B.

Yelp
This place is not good at all. If you want good Chinese food come to grand china in Greer sc it's on wade hampton. They will show you how to cook Chinese food.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Very unclean and the food was flavorless. I always think of a places fried rice is no good (and it wasn't, soft rice/ bland/ oily) then the rest won't be good either. And I was right. Still looking for a good Asian place around me.

Bill G.

Yelp
So far, I have to say that this is the best Chinese food place that we have tried in the Hendersonville area-although that is not a high bar. I've tried a couple of others and was sadly disappointed by the food. The food here is pretty good and very reasonably priced and the portions are generous. Dinning room remains closed. The counter is pretty much covered in clear plastic- like in some sort of bio hazard disaster scene.
google avatar

Tim M.

Yelp
Kin's Kitchen has become our favorite Chinese restaurant. The meals are cooked to order and served piping hot. The prices are very reasonable considering the large portions. Though there are several tables for dining, we prefer take-out. By the time we get home the food is at the perfect temperature for eating. Either way, the food is delicious.
google avatar

Serenity M.

Yelp
The prices went up and the portions went down. The crab ragoon was to crabby/ fishy taste yuck, less crab meat and more cream cheese. I order lo mein and got some kind of white rice noodle thing disgusting . I am now sure if i will go back. I always spend about 30 /40 dollars there but I dont think I can anymore.

Yelp
This is my first reveiw on Yelp but i would like to add more in the future as that i am a fan of all things food... and maybe this reveiw will convence you to dine else where. Kin's Kitchen, i have had some good meals and some ok meals from your restaurant but the last time i ordered food something was wrong. More than wrong. What I would consider a resturant sin instead of the traditional house made dumplings you normally serve seven to an order i got store bought (kashi brand i assume) dumplings. I know them by heart cause i munch on them once in awhile. If you run out of dumplings or you just don't want to make them anymore then just take it off the menu. Also you have curry mei fun on your menu. It use to be good, the last time i ordered it the dish was 90% noodles 5% meat and veg, and 5% dry curry, not fun or good, or worth 8.95. Everyone cuts corners now and then but you are not going to make more money by skimping on the food and Kin is diffently not getting anymore of my hard earned cash. What i was served was a rip off and i will share this story with anyone and everyone that mentions kin's.

Robin T.

Yelp
We have driven past so many times. It's the best local Chinese food, fast, always hot with good prices.
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
What a wonderful find...... Have now found a new restaurant that's not a chain. We returned tonight for I think 5th or 6th time, egg drop or wonton soups are fantastic, prices are very reasonable with large portions.

Edward S.

Yelp
Being from New York I am always looking for Chinese food that's cooked well and fairly priced. Kins kitchen provided food that was cooked well, but liked the full taste of Chinese food. Their broth with dumplings was very bland and I added chicken stock to it. The fried rice was also bland. If I ever eat there again, I'll ask that they go heavy on the spices.

Yelp
Well, our usual Chinese restaurant was closed on Sunday so we decided to give Kin's Kitchen a try. Clean restaurant, fast service, who could ask for more, right? Well, me, for one, because my body has a very bad reaction to MSG (monosodium glutimate). Since moving to Hendersonville 7-1/2 years ago, I have only eaten at one other Chinese restaurant, and I asked them before I ordered if they added MSG, and they did not, so I guess I forgot that it was a fairly common practice. About an hour after a tasty meal, as I was watching a movie I became aware of a headache coming on as well as a resting pulse way up over normal. MSG! and lots of it, based on my body's reaction. If you don't mind having chemicals added to your food, give Kin's Kitchen a try...otherwise, visit my first choice for a Chinese restaurant on Asheville Hwy.

Yelp
Great food. Too bad that they have been closed for so many weeks already due COVID-19. Can barely wait for them to resume operations.
google avatar

Madison C.

Yelp
Kins is a local favorite! Staff is always super friendly, food is always delicious. This is the only Chinese food I like in the area

Brenda T.

Yelp
My go to place for everyday Chinese food when Zi don't feel like cooking. The food is good and the service friending. To go only but that's fine by me. Once you get the ordering and pickup routine down, the service is fast.
google avatar

Tameka N.

Yelp
Ok so we moved to this area from Charlotte about 2.5 years ago. This is BY FARRRR the BEST fast/quickfood Chinese restaurant in Hendersonville/Asheville/Fletcher/Mills River areas. Green Tea is our top pick but you'll spend$$ there. This reminds me of the Chinese restaurants up north and back home. The egg rolls were FRESH. Chicken was CRISPY. Vegetables FRESH, and noodles were TENDER. As long as they keep cooking food like this it'll be our Chinese spot.
google avatar

Irene B.

Yelp
They are literally the best Chinese restaurant in the Hendo area!! My kids n' I have been going there since we've moved here. Both of my kids are on the spectrum and they always give them a treat when we come in. They are patient, kind, and efficient. I have been praying that they reopen soon. There are a lot of heart-warming notes on the restaurant's front door so I'm not sure if COVID-19 has closed them indefinitely; I hope not!! Please reopen!!!! We miss you!!

Yelp
Best Chinese I've ever had. I had shrimp n veg. Husband had ckn. Both very satisfied.

Anita H.

Yelp
Mediocre at best. needed a late lunch so decided to try. Ordered a fave dish , Kung Pao Chicken. Paid at counter and told to take a seat at table. Several twosomes arrived after me and there was one couple already eating. Place is small so it felt full. I waited AND waited. Finally food arrived. Raw peanuts tossed on top, the dish was bland despite having chiles in it. I also had ordered plain water and soup. I waited. And waited. Meanwhile an inspector arrived and us customers got handed off to someone else. I had to go up to counter to ask for rest of my order! I walked out vowing to not bother ever going back. The place felt small and grimy, not dirty just not deep cleaned. No ambience to make eating an pleasant experience. it's just food, you will leave with a full belly.

Sveta S.

Yelp
My husband was craving Chinese food and kept pressing me to find one around the mall. We drove up here for business and were hungry. So we find this one and I read the reviews before we came here. It's a small place to eat and the decorations are typical but the food was delicious!!! I order general tou sa and my honey order the lo moin and chicken. The portions are pretty but the meat was amazing! Fresh is the word!!!! My General Taos was fresh, crispy and full of flavor! This is the place to go for great Chinese food but not the looks. But seriously who cares- I'm not eating the look of the place but the food!
google avatar

N. B.

Yelp
Very fresh and very good. It's been a while since I've had decent Chinese food! Very busy place.
google avatar

David O.

Yelp
ALWAYS good. I always get it to go and they have it ready and provide everything needed for a trouble free take away. No complaints ever. I have tried several things on the menu without disappointment. Very reasonable portions and prices.
google avatar

Hank W.

Yelp
Probably the best Chinese food in Hendersonville. Its primarily a take out place but they do have some limited seating. The best thing about their food is how fresh the ingredients are. We have eaten there now 4 times and have never been disappointed in our choices.
google avatar

Ethan G.

Yelp
I love this place. It is one of the best takeout places in town. I recommend the Crab Rangoon's and Orange Chicken.
google avatar

Denton G.

Yelp
A wonderful family owned hole in the wall. Great food. Great people. This one you don't want to walk by.
google avatar

Randy L.

Yelp
I've been ordering, taking out and eating from Kin's Kitchen for years now and have never been disappointed with the quality, the tastiness and the freshness of their food. The family is always friendly, welcoming and happy to see their customers. They are truly a standout in our western North Carolina community.
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
If you're on this side of town and really dying for Chinese, go ahead to Kin's. It's dirt cheap and very fast. But know, this is not fancy. It's primarily a carry out place, a few tables are available if you'd like to eat in. They have some consistency issues. We've had really good food from them, but also some pretty sloppy meals as well. When they're on, it's great. When they're not, well, it's not. Service is always friendly, so that's a bonus.
google avatar

Anthony R.

Yelp
Good food. Consistent quality. Wonderful prices. Staff are always nice. My wife and I love the General Tso's Chicken and the crab rangoons. They are so good!

Kristina D.

Yelp
Yuck. Don't bother. How can you make rice even taste bad? Rice tasted like recycled plastic. Just gross!

Vire D.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Food is brought out to your table. Delicious food, especially the steamed dumplings. Cheap for the amount of food per dish. Difficult to locate, be persistent. Would go again.
google avatar

Nancy C.

Yelp
Great food. Maybe the best crab Rangoon I've ever had. Very nice employees, clean and efficient. So glad I found them tucked away in a strip center. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
My new favorite Chinese restaurant in Hendersonville .. great food, great service, easy access & parking ... take-out or eat-in is top-notch! Caters to vegans, too!
