Kinsarvik Fjordhotel

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The staff here is very service minded and do there best to make you comfortable. The hotel location is also amazing with fantastic views regardless of your room. Unfortunately, the reception couldn't add my BW membership to the reservation because we booked on a third-party, which I've never had issues with in the past at other BW hotels. The rooms are also incredibly warm and the hotel has no fans. Even with the windows open, on a hot day it's like a sauna. I don't recommend the hotel restaurant either. The room was comfortable and clean, being recently renovated. Our bathroom, however, was not renovated. The tub was very slippery and the shower curtain needed replacing. The hotel offers delicious local ciders, a cozy lobby and bar, and excellent outdoor balconies and a patio. The breakfast is plentiful and has some good options.

The hotel’s location is excellent, right in the town center with a sufficiently large parking area. Our room was small, but still very comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and enjoyable.|All of the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. A special thank you goes to Mario and Gro, who were extremely helpful and kind in assisting us with a billing issue. Much appreciated!|Overall, a great experience

The hotel is situated right at the front of the town, overlooking the bay and we were upgraded. Our room was lovely, with a fjord view, a terrace and a kettle to make our teas and coffees. The restaurant unhesitatingly gave us some milk. The breakfast was Norwegian extensive and very good.|The silence around was only broken by the occasional cry of the oystercatchers.

Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is nice, clean but somehow old. I think it has the potential to be better and become more modern, but still it is very nice and lovely.

Booked this hotel because I wanted some fresh authentic Norwegian cuisine. The website states: Restaurant Kinsarvik The restaurant serves delicious dishes made from fresh local ingredients. Guests can enjoy authentic Norwegian cuisine, such as fresh seafood from the fjords, succulent steaks and tasty desserts. Only entrees were pizza, hamburger, trout, and the worst quality beef I've had in a very long time. The flavors were great but the lack and quality of the product made the meal not worthy of the price by a long shot. My fjord view was 90% covered by trees but welcome to Norway. Otherwise the superior room was fine. Staff was friendly and I think they are trying their best with what they have.

Perfect for a short stay before a hike in the area. Situated right beside the road, but pleasant enough. Friendly staff and a nice restaurant.

Very nice updated rooms. Bathtub was a nice touch. Amazing breakfast. Great location for lots of hiking spots. And great staff, thanks to Martin, Joao and all the others

Great hotel, with lovely staff. The British receptionist who welcomed us was so polite and it made us feel at home.
