Kinship Landing

Kimberly, at the front desk was delightful. When we checked into our room, everything was very nice, but we were hoping for a mountainside view. Not expecting them to be able to accommodate this, I asked, anyway, and Kimberly gladly moved us to an available room for no extra charge. Excellent customer service and super friendly as well! Our breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious and prepared beautifully! We enjoyed our stay thoroughly, and look forward to coming back!

Kinship landing is a very cute spot with very cozy beds and great food options. Unfortunately, our room on the fourth floor smelt strongly like sewage. They were kind enough to move us to another room on the same after one night, but the room still had a slight odor, though not as bad as in our original room, but the whole floor seemed to smell. There was also a lot of short hairs in the shower of the new room and was clearly not cleaned well. The staff was always friendly but I wish something could have been done about the terrible smell. We also had a hotels.com gift card we were hoping to use on our stay but the hotel would not accept it despite being listed on hotels.com.

We had our Holiday party here last night and it was a wonderful experience from the staff helping to make sure we had everything that we needed to the atmosphere to the food. The food was delicious, meat was tender and flavorful, vegetables were seasoned just right. We had a small band play and there was plenty of room for them to play. Everyone loved the fire pit area that was included in our package. We got s'mores kits at an additional cost for everyone to use at the firepits, that was a huge hit! I will definitely book our next gathering here; they are very accommodating and friendly.

I originally booked a different hotel but switched to this one after seeing the site. I loved my room! It was exactly what I booked and so cozy. Clean, quiet and fun! The staff was great and so was the food! I did a lot of hiking while staying and this was a great place to come back to after a long hike.

I stopped to share after dozens of trips each year... I don't do reviews on hotels but this little gem was excellently thought out and executed. Offering an onsite restaurant & bar, the hotel is exquisitely decorated incorporating plenty of live plants & new architecture. The room's bed & bedding was extremely comfortable and from entryway of the hotel to the room, there is all uniquely furnished items. From use of higher grade signage to unique and original furniture, the owner representative executed quite well. It was also very nice to see a full staff of local, smiling staff from check-in area to the folks cleaning the rooms (at most chains you see workers you can tell they don't treat/pay the greatest).

The hotel vibe was great, the staff was extremely friendly, and had great recommendations. I thought it was in a good location. I was able to walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and the spa. Had a great soaking tub, And a nice outside area to enjoy your cocktail by the fire. The only downside is that you do have to pay for parking, but it doesn't seem to be on the hotel that seems to be Something the city is mandating. Definitely would recommend

Stayed here as a close location to the CO Springs airport and to have a nice hotel experience. Enjoyed our room (bunk bed + Queen) with nice amenities (tea, kettle, ect). Parking is reasonable and they have a lot to park in for $19 a day (also has hourly options). The bar downstairs was really nice with plenty of seating. Beautiful with hanging plants and wood framing.

We stayed for two nights and hosted our wedding reception in the Greenhaus, so I'll address both those things here. It was truly such a beautiful place to celebrate with our loved ones. From the start, Max was incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all the questions we had. My main caveat for this review is that the communication from event planning staff was sometimes very, very slow. Lauren took over for us midway through the process and this was improved, but just something to note if you're a bride that wants quick and clear responses. It didn't matter in the end though, as everything came together so beautifully. Lauren set up the room for us and did an amazing job - we are super thankful for her artful eye in setting up all our decor. Chef Brad was also amazing to work with and was kind enough to come chat with us and make sure we had plated meals at dinner. The food was fantastic! The staff also was so sweet and went above and beyond to help my parents clean up at the end of the night. The only other negative for us came from parking & our hotel stay. It would have been nice to get a special discount or comped room and/or to have our parking comped for us and our guests. The room was stunning though - super clean and had most everything we needed aside from some extra closet space. We loved the balcony room & slept well both nights we stayed - the bed was very comfortable. I was surprised at how quiet it was with the garage door to the balcony and street below. Overall, we'd be happy to return someday and I highly recommend Kinship to any future brides!

Such a great stay with a positive experience! Everything about Kinship is great - the rooms are comfy, clean and cute, the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, and the hotel atmosphere is friendly and warm. The cafe and bar is great with yummy food, but there is also many places to grab drinks and eats nearby if you want to venture out. The rooms are well kept and clean, and the bed is so comfy. I loved opening the sliding outside facing door in the morning to let in some fresh air and listen to the outside sounds while sipping on my coffee. All around a great vibe. They have put many details into making a welcoming environment that feels comfortable to hang out. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

This place is interesting to say the least because it actually gives the ambience and style of a restaurant and a coffee bistro but at the same time above it is a hotel you can have your king sweet rooms or you can have your very simplistic basic room not to mention if you're looking for more of a travelers room, then you can even try the hostile style room where it is pretty much just a room full of bunkbeds and some open spots on the ground. I would definitely say off the top. It might not look like the pic of the patch when you pass by it, but check it out and see what you think. It'd be really surprised but what you'll come out and figure out like this place or not.

Super cool hotel with the option for a great view of the mountains. Bed was on a platform which was elevated off the ground. Felt like it could have been a potential hazard in the dark but we didn't have any issues. The air conditioning was a tad loud but overall we had a good stay.

Honestly one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The hotel staff was so kind. We also loved the Homa Cafe and drinks! Loved how easy and effortless this hotel experience was. Will definitely be coming back!

The lobby is bright and has a hip vibe. Our room was called a suite. In no such way was it a suite. So tiny. The sink was four feet from the bed. No bedside table. No chair. No space for our luggage. Three hangers for clothes. No closet or ironing board. No housekeeping. We asked for a bigger room because it was not sufficient as home base for a couple for three days. In addition, front desk staff was nice but not accommodating.

As soon as we stepped in, we were met with an efficiently managed, yet unoppressive queue. Despite the palpable buzz, there was ample space and our wait time was a brief 5-10 minutes. Above us, a clearly written menu allowed us to decide our order promptly, so by the time we reached the attentive cashier, we were ready to roll. She patiently answered our queries, suggested recommendations without rushing us-- a testament to their customer-first approach. Once we'd received our pager, selecting a comfortable spot was a breeze with numerous seating options available. Drawn by the cool outdoor shade, my group opted to gather outside. The capacious, pristine ambiance offering a sense of serenity amid our bustling visit. Our pager signaled readiness and the food pick-up process was a breeze. Silverware and napkins were conveniently placed for quick pick-and-go. Driven by a hearty appetite, I chose a veggie hand pie and cauliflower pop (it was First Friday Art Walk day). The flavors were absolutely delightful, and I strongly recommend these dishes! The Garden Party cocktail, a part of my order, was a tasteful treat as well. This delectable beverage also gets my hearty recommendation. Based on this visit, I'm excited to return-- this time, bringing along my husband to partake in the gastronomical journey.

i just had a shock of an experience. I called the reservation number and wanted to be sure they had what I was looking for. I had to call back in order to check with my son if this hotel was going to be okay for him. It would have been a matter of minutes. The male reservationist sounded very nice to me --but when I said I would call back in a few minutes his response was, "Do me a favor, don't ever call here again". Kinship, this is not doing your business any good. Review: stay away.

The room was designed for least possible comfort level. Upon entering, I first noticed the freestanding tub where typical hotel rooms would have a desk and, hopefully, a comfortable chair. There was no desk and no comfortable chair but there was the Group W Bench next to the tub. Adding to the plumbing in the main area vibe were the double sinks next to the bed. Well - not exactly next to the bed - but a foot lower with just a narrow strip between the bed and a steep drop off with no railing or other protection from a disastrous midnight fall. This last point was the straw to break the camel's back. I knew I could not sleep soundly while keeping some little portion of my brain awake with awareness of the danger right next to me in case I needed to use the one enclosed bit of plumbing in the middle of the night. Somehow, I would need to remember to navigate to the foot of the bed where an extra step had grudgingly been installed - again with no railing on one side. As we were not too far from home, my wife and I decided to checkout early and continue our drive instead of risking a sleepless night and possible injury. Unfortunately, this meant missing the breakfast with friends that we had planned for the next morning.

They call Kinship a hostel but it's much more than that. Atmosphere is great. Happy people staffing the place who make you feel welcomed. Dominic, Deena and Jim at the bar/restaurant Homa are friendly and professional. The decor is rustic but refined. Prices are affordable. Affordable and cool. Highly recommend.

I hosted a fabulous event at Kinship Landing this past weekend. We rented out the beautiful Greenhaus for our wedding rehearsal lunch. The space was just right, and the staff was incredibly accommodating as always! The event coordinator we planned with was attentive and communicative, and every detail was perfect. She helped us narrow down the banquet menu to just a few options for ease and kept me updated on all deadlines for my guest count and lunch orders. The bartender the day of the event was so sweet and did an excellent job as well. I highly recommend hosting an event at Kinship Landing. They deliver exceptional customer service, a welcoming ambiance, delicious food, and close attention to detail.

Kingship Landing was good. I ordered the fired cauliflower and it was SALTY! The idea was awesome and I enjoyed the combo of quinoa and salad...but the cauliflower. Oy! I was also disappointed because they were out of the kombucha.

Really enjoyed this modern hotel. Check-in was super easy. They send you an email with your room number and code to get into your room so you don't even have to check in at the front if you don't want to. Nice. Rooms are modern and well appointed with nice coffee and tea and bath essentials. The beds were soooo plush and comfy. It's also near to tons of great restaurants, COATI, Shugas and White Pie and Loyalty Coffee just to name a few legit right across the street! Parking was easy - just in back. The restaurant downstairs serves breakfast all day and has a great menu with loads of healthy bowls and sandwiches and delicious goodies as well as some great desserts for that late night sweet tooth craving. We loved it. Our room had a garage door window that opened to look out. How neat.

Really disappointed with this hotel. Thought it would be very interesting, but it fell short. Rooms were noisy, sparse, and the one we were in was actually dangerous. Bed was high on a platform with no way safely to get down from. Street noise was loud all the time. Food was okay but weirdly you ordered at the bar like it was a self service restaurant and bussed your own table. Only good thing was the "drunken botanist" cocktail!

I stayed at Kinship Landing twice and both times it was a last minute reservation when I had a change of plans and ended up in Colorado Springs. Both times, it was a great experience. Kinship Landing is a pretty new and modern boutique hotel, but also has some dorm/hostel-style rooms, which is what I stayed in both times. I found the room through Airbnb and booked a bed spot in a 8-bed (bunkbed) room. It cost about $60 per night. Luckily, the room was barely occupied, with just one other person. The room was really clean. It had lockers and a well stocked bathroom. The bunkbeds were sturdy and did not squeak. Each bed has a curtain for privacy, light, wall plugs, and space to place your belongings. I recommend requesting a bottom bunk because the ladder to the top bunks are pretty smooth and difficult to hold on to. The room was warm and I couldn't figure out how to change to temperature, but was also too lazy to ask the front desk. I, nevertheless, had a good sleep. The lobby is beautiful with all the plants and decor. As soon as you walk in, you see the bar. The check-in "front desk" is not as noticeable, but on the right side of the bar. They also serve food through their kitchen, Homa Cafe. Kitchen closes at 10pm. They also had live music when I stayed on a Saturday, in the back room. The lobby will have non-hotel guests. Check-in was pretty easy. Since I booked through Airbnb, I could either call and confirm my credit card number or do that in-person. Check-out can also be done over the phone or in-person, as well. The staff were really friendly, helpful, and quick to respond via messaging. They have a parking lot for $16/24 hours or limited street parking. At the moment, the street parking right out front of the hotel is free.

Save your money, or spend it on an actual luxury or boutique hotel. Our "suite" was not even close to being a suite. It was cramped and had no sitting area other than a bench. Every few minutes, the bathtub, which was inconveniently placed in the bedroom, would gurgle loudly. I love to take baths but was afraid to do so because the tv was hung above the tub, and I was worried about it falling into the tub. The bed area was up two steps. However, there was no railing to prevent someone from falling off the high drop. The room felt like it was designed to be "hip" but not comfortable. Lastly, the noise level was ridiculous since there really isn't anything happening in that particular block. We left without ever having taken off our shoes. I asked for a partial refund, and the "manager" refused, insinuating that anyone who was "fit" would be fine. I am surprised that they passed the building codes.

Great spot with positive vibe, healthy options at reasonable prices, and good aesthetics. Rooms are well laid out and clean, hallways are well lit, lobby is a 21-century fern bar, and check-in is as easy as humanly possible. These are all wonderful features for people on the go. Terrific parking, signage is friendly and informative. Sensible electric kettles in the rooms instead of coffee-makers from the 80s. TV setup is too fancy for me to understand but a younger person would value it.

NOT SAFE TO PARK AT ALL! Choose a better and safer hotel. This property is surrounded by homeless people. We had to report at front desk that a homeless guy was trying to break in a property next to their building but front desk staff only responded "We are not responsible for any loss in your vehicle. I have not encountered any complains so far. " She is obviously lying. There are a lot of signs in the parking area that says "Hotel not responsible for blah,blah,blah". On top of this, they only have ONE luggage cart/carrier! We had to take few trips to completely unload our car because we were so scared of break ins! The area is flooded by homeless and weirdos. The room is so small. The sink is next to our bed! Let that sink in. So overpriced! What did we pay parking fee for if there is NO VISIBLE SECURITY in the area? I'm so glad we are only staying overnight. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Very yummy bowls but overpriced. I had the cauliflower bowl which had a great sauce and great flavor! Went out to lunch with two other women who all got one drink and the meal cost $120

While it seemed well kept, clean, and "trendy", it was ultimately overpriced for a small room. Paying for parking each night was a big loss, especially since we didn't even have our car there one night -- we also didn't see any security (and we were out late each night) so I'm not really sure what the parking fee is even for. We pre-paid for credit to the restaurant and were charged for each day AND for our food.. ultimately the credit didn't come off of our bill. The girl who was working at the cafe that morning had a poor attitude and was frustrated with us asking simple questions about the menu even though we had never been there before and no one else was waiting to be served. Nothing incredible to say about our meals, they were fine but again seemed overpriced. There are a large amount of non-descript fees at the end of the stay, still not sure what that was about. We did appreciate the contactless check-in as it worked for our needs but that was probably our only positive experience. It may be a better deal if you're looking just for a bed to sleep in and meet other travelers but look elsewhere if you're wanting a nice room to stay -- the Springs is great and has a lot to offer, but this place is overpriced for what it is.

My husband and I stayed overnight and were impressed! Kinship Landing has thought through the many types of guests they might have. Whether you're staycationing, visiting with your family, solo traveling or want to stop by for a drink/meal in Homa Cafe, Kinship has space for you! One thing that I loved, was how much local art/craftsmanship they had curated throughout the space, from paintings done by Well Rounded Goods, to a "Kinship" scented candle by Light Provisions candle company. You can tell that Kinship Landing was a collaborative effort, utilizing the skills of local makers whenever possible. I can't wait to come back and utilize more of the space at Kinship! It's the perfect spot to come read a book, grab a beer or get some work done. It will also be my #1 recommendation for anyone looking for an affordable and beautiful stay in Colorado Springs.

I absolutely loved this place. We took advantage of the warm weather and went glamping on their tent pad deck. It was amazing and included a propane fire pit and very nice private bathroom. Downstairs is BEAUTIFUL and the staff were super welcoming. The food was really good & well priced, and the greenhouse is such a calming feature. I can't wait to come back!

we were excited to check into kinship landing but Covid had other plans. although none of us (wife son and myself) have very bad symptoms, we decided it was the right thing to do to cancel our trip. we were planning on attending a lego conference and catch Wakanda Forever at Roadhouse Cinema. Roadhouse and Brickfest Live fully refunded our purchase and thanked us. KL did not. I suppose the $ is more important than the health and safety of their guests and employees. what a shame.

Really beautiful spot we stopped at on the way to sky diving. Food was healthy but a tad bit pricey for the portion sizes. I had the salmon half grain and salad bowl and açaí bowl. I highly recommend the açaí bowl and the fries were really good! The lemonade with electrolytes tastes like watered down Gatorade but it did replenish me. The place is really beautiful and should be checked out!

I had a work meeting here recently. Our meeting was in the larger atrium room- a very nice atmosphere! I loved all the plants. The food was delicious! I think almost everyone commented on how good it was. I'll definitely be going back!

I am bummed to write this review because I had high hopes for this mountain meets city boutique hotel. Logistically everything was smooth, but the walls of the hotel are paper thin. We had a family with kids staying above us and we heard their every movement. We also heard hotel room doors opening and closing all through the day/night. The fridge in our room also made a loud buzzing and ringing noise, which added to the lack of relaxation. Furthermore, I was disappointed in how the hotel nickel + dimed us. $16 for parking in CO Springs?? Doesn't make sense. Also, we requested an 11am check out instead of 10am and were charged $10. Doesn't exactly speak of "luxury" or hospitality. Very cute and the marketing is amazing, but I would not recommend.

Alright place. But before you leave go Ahead and clean your room. They will nickle and dime you on extra cleaning charges.

If you're looking for a place to stay while in Colorado Springs..just STOP. You've found the perfect place. It's gorgeous, modern and amazing. The bedding is plush. The location is close to downtown Colorado springs. And best of all, contactless check-in. Loyal coffee is across the street, order online and pick up to enjoy in bed. Try the crossiants, trust.

If you're looking for a location for an Instagram-worthy photo shoot, this is your place! Everything about this hotel has been designed for social media "likes" and not actual guest comfort. The rooms themselves were small, uncomfortable, not as pictured on the website and terribly overpriced. The worst part of our stay was two nights of zero sleep as this hotel sits on a very very busy street in downtown Colorado Springs where you could hear street racing, sirens, horns all night thanks to those trendy garage doors. Should have been a sign when the hotel itself provided you with earplugs. We paid $400/night for a mountain suite in which we weren't able to sleep. A plus is the check in and out was easy, the hand pies were good. But the overall vibe was "too cool" for us.

Excellent excellent food! You can tell that great care goes in to ingredient selection and food preparation. The staff is SO wonderful as well. Definitely a refreshing, delicious meal! We had the Mt Rokka bowl and the soup of the day. 10/10 would get it again!

Easy to find, its downtown so of course its not the best area but I felt safe. This place is an eatery/hotel. So it was kind of confusing upon arrival. The hotel parking is in the back and $16 a night. We did enjoy drinks and sweets before dinner. The staff is super friendly. So the room had a bunk bed which I did not think I booked but not a Karen either. The room is quaint. Its tiny and modern. The bed is crazy comfy! It was perfect for a night. No microwave! T-byrd tacos & tequila is a good place to eat. As well as Famous Steakhouse.

What a beautiful and friendly environment. Also knowing that it uses Callicrate Beef and local food sources makes me want to eat here every day! Amazing decor and friendly staff and people staying here. Just good all the way around.

Not what I expected. If you book a king suite and are expecting a mountain view, be aware that you could get a room with a "wonderful" view of the parking lot and alley. I was very disappointed after looking at the pictures online. I was anticipating opening the overhead door to the outside and looking at the mountains. Our overhead door would have given us a great view of the parking lot behind the building!! Below our room was noisy in the evening due to people outside who were partying. The countertop in the bathroom is all sink and has no room. The food was good but 2 sandwiches and 2 bottles of water was $42.

Everything was awesome until I tried to get out of the top bunk. There's no grab bar on one side of the ladder so you're awkwardly trying to climb down one handed. I almost fell off. A lady in my room actually did fall while trying to get out of the top bunk. The tops bunks are dangerous. Otherwise the cafe is great, the beds are decently comfortable. The place is clean. An interesting variety of people stay there.

Great food and great drinks but the atmosphere is quaint and relaxing. Bartender was amazing and holy smokes the sandwich (north park) and hand pies were out of this WORLD

We recently booked a stay at Kinship Landing, and a family issue occurred last minute that forced us to cancel our stay. They usually have a 48 hour cancellation policy, but they were very accommodating and supportive and acknowledged it was a unique situation. They cancelled our reservation without charging us, and everyone I spoke to was incredibly nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again because Kinship Landing has demonstrated excellent customer service and were just generally kind and empathetic. What a great hotel!

A couples friends of mine recommended I explore this new eccentric company. Thus far I've only had the pleasure of utilizing their cafe space. That alone was enough to encourage me to fall in love. From the friendly, well trained staff, to the quality of food, and down to the beautifully placed decor, every detail it worthy of a swoon. I hope to soon have the pleasure of the full experience of a overnight stay! I encourage any and every individual to get a taste of this wonderful company!

Great food, friendly service and wonderful atmosphere. The Cauli pops are delicious and you can't go wrong with any of the hand pies. Yum!

The room appeared clean however 2 dried up bedbugs was found in the blanket so I moved to another bunk and there was dirt on top of the blanket. There housekeeping is below par.

Spent one night here while visiting Colorado Springs with my husband. Loved the contact-less check in process. Modern hotel with friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay near Colorado Springs. My only complaint is the noise coming from what I believe was the A/C. I didn't bother reporting it since we were only there for the night and it was bearable.

I've never stayed here, but Homa Cafe in the lobby is AMAZING! I always get the smoked salmon warm grain bowl, and it is SO! FREAKING! GOOD! Definitely my go-to lunch spot!

I have been traveling for business for 25 years, and I simply love this hotel. It is so different and vastly superior to any hotel product in the city, from the beautiful woodwork to the nice sheets/towels to the overall welcoming vibe and particularly to the people on staff. I am in CoS regularly and this is home away from home....

This place was so fantastic that it makes me want to swear! Not only is it beautiful and clean, but the staff was absolutely effin amazing! I think about flying back to Colorado Springs, just to stay here and eat in the restaurant. My only negative take away is that they don't share recipes and believe me, I tried to get some of them. If you go, you must get the Sweet Potato hash before you engage in any of your outdoor activities. It fueled my climb up Pike's Peak. Amd if you want a sweet desert like breakfast, get the Ramblers Toast. I also had some kind of bowl with quinoa but I can't remember what it was called and it doesn't appear to be on the menu anymore. They should bring it back. Every meal was incredible! This is a must stop and stay place!

This hotel was much more than just a place to stay but was also an experience in its own. The rooms had a cool design with a garage style door leading to the balcony which gave a stunning view for sunrise and sunset. The food was delicious and the drinks were even better. The workers I cannot rave enough about though. As a group of guys who did not know the town at all, we decided to have a drink or two at the bar, but ended up staying for hours due to how great the staff were. Jazz, Jasmine, Toni, Kenzi, and Christian really made our trip. They genuinely seemed happy interacting with us and making the experience better. I could not recommend a better place to stay. Thank you all for the great time!

Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. Perfect location for all our activities. Food and drinks at Homa were delicious. Stayed in Mountain View queen room. Room was clean but noisy from street and prefer a closet but they don't have any.

My partner and I ended up staying here for a wedding down the street and were delightfully surprised by pretty much everything at this little local gem. The hotel itself was clean, well maintained and well decorated. The room was a bit noisy from street traffic and the bed felt a little small, but was comfortable and quiet enough, as the hotel provided ear plugs. We loved the soaps-- in dispensers and wonderfully scented, and the lack of extra frills. As we were here for a wedding, we borrowed an iron from the kitchen on the second floor without a problem. The location was wonderful-- within a mile from the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. We walked or limed (electric scooters!) everywhere and had a great time. Staff was friendly. Food at Homa was... amazing? The caulipop was so delicious, our sandwich was to die for and their pickles snack came mostly from their garden. All in all a truly wonderful stay. If you're in the Springs and wanting to stay somewhere a little different, do not hesitate to book here.

I highly recommend it, for overnight stay or just food and beverage! Also the outdoor camp deck, is quite an idea! Woodwork ,design, and every detail fantastic and unique! Plus FREE PARKING!! As Arnold would say "I'll BE BACK" !!

Amazing lobby with great food and excellent customer service. The room however was very overwhelming. Extremely small and the bed is on some crazy elevation. Also house cleaning is every three days which means you have to reuse your towel. When we got to the room the comforter had to be replaced due to hair on it. 4/10 would not recommend.

We had an amazing experience here! The room was just gorgeous and loved all the little details in the room and the building itself. The check in process was simple and felt super safe with COVID. The staff communicated really well. We already can't wait to come back!
