A pal and I arrived Sat about 6pm. We entered through the somewhat dated in decor and furnishings bar but were met with a hugely friendly and welcoming barman. Shown to our room which was very clean, comfortable and a great shower.||Good range of beers in the bar and the wine list was very reasonable with some very different wine choices. The barman and locals were friendly and on good form. | Ordered supper from a good selection of hearty choices. The food arrived hot, beautifully presented and was very tasty, full compliments to the chef.||A good sleep then breakfast which was in the very modern and airy breakfast room with great views over the loch. The lady that served us was friendly and the breakfast selection was wide and varied. Great porridge and an excellent full Scottish.||The only regret was that we could only stay for one night. This is an excellent friendly comfortable hotel with an excellent chef and great staff. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely greeting on arrival at reception and shown to our first floor room that was superb with views over the loch. ||We booked at very short notice and paid £275 for the room including breakfast. ||Nothing but positives about the room. It was absolutely superb. ||What strikes me as strange though is that it isn’t really a hotel. We had a good meal in the attached pub but the meal wasn’t at the standard you would expect considering the price of the room. It was good though and the staff were great. ||The rest of the hotel was deserted, despite having some lovely guest rooms on the ground floor where I would have expected post dinner coffee and drinks to be served as you see in similar establishments that charge this level of price. Instead all the lights were off so it felt more like a very high quality hostel than a hotel. ||Appreciate this may be due to issues recruiting staff but it’s a clear opportunity to develop the offer by making more of the lovely ground floor guest rooms in the hotel. Especially as that is the part of the hotel that overlooks the loch.

Stayed for one night during our trip to Scotland, after a long day driving we were ready for a good meal and a comfy be. On arrival we entered the bar area and the lady behind the bar explained there was no one around to check us in and she would complete our check in and take us up to our room, the lady was friendly and welcoming. ||We booked a superior double with sea view, a large room with beautiful views, the room was basic but clean and comfortable, the bathroom once again was basic but had everything you could need. The best views by far were from the side of the water outside the hotel, even more beautiful if the sun is shining. ||We had booked dinner for 7pm, I opted for a Sunday lunch and my husband had something from the main menu, when the Sunday lunch arrived it had very little gravy, I asked if it was possible to get a little more, this obviously offended someone as it seemed to be a big issue as the staff pointed and were clearly not happy, eventually someone came over to say it was Sunday night and they had run out, for some reason a few minutes later a jug of gravy arrived, confused us a little too! From that point the atmosphere changed and we were almost ignored until we headed to the bar to pay. ||Breakfast was the worst of the week, nothing to do with the food and it’s quality which was t the best but the young lady who was on duty, we entered the breakfast room and were ignored, I had to get her attention to order breakfast, she clearly wasn’t going to give us service with a smile! ||Check out was putting a key in a basket and go! No personal touch which seemed to be the norm for the Kintail Lodge Hotel! ||One nights stay £275 for B&B.

What a great place! Situated in a beautiful pristine location, cozy and comfortable with friendly people, good food and drinks. The pub makes you feel like it’s your local. While it’s a little bit far from the town, and most guests were just staying for one night, consider staying longer, we did, and it was well worth it!

We loved our stay at Kintail Lodge. We had room 6 which was at the top of the hotel. It was absolutely lovely and decorated to a high standard. We stayed for 2 nights and ate in the restaurant each evening. Everything we had was delicious, particularly the Cullen Skink soup and the Ox Cheek. The young girl in the restaurant was lovely. She always greeted you with a warm welcome and a smile. I’d highly recommend it as a place to stay. In terms of value for money I’d say it is pretty good having stayed at poorer places on the NC500 for the same price or sometimes even more.

Very friendly and hospitable staff, rooms were warm and comfortable which is what we needed after a week of camping in late August. The food varies in taste/quality but was generally good and very filling. Our highlight was the Cullen Skink which was the standout meal - exceptional flavour. Also very dog friendly which was a plus for us, with a short walk down the the shores of the loch. Well situated to start/end further trips into the Highlands.

This hotel is amazing ,the view, the rooms, the service. We stayed just one night but would of loved to stay a week, the views were unbelievable all around us,the breakfast room was in full view of the loch, the breakfast was hot and delicious. We had a meal in the restaurant the night before and it was fantastic as well, the staff were lovely and so helpful, this is a must stay hotel for sure. Thanks for the lovely memories.

Fabulous setting with wonderful food, great comfy beds , and apart from one person, amazing staff. We had been travelling for a long time from 5.00am and we arrived three hours before 'check in time'. The receptionist on duty turned somersaults to get us into our room at the earliest opportunity which was well appreciated.||BUT only 2 stars because:-||We were unable to make the shower work in the morning because the controls would not respond to our efforts. We thus had another day to travel without the benefit of feeling clean. On handing the key back to the receptionist (not the helpfull one) we were met with disbelief when we reported the shower problem. I was aghast at her retort 'nobody has complained before' and waited for my response. My response was 'do you think that I am lying?' She shrugged and said ' nobody has complained before'. So she apparently did think that I was. Paying that sort of money we do expect to have working facilities and we do not expect to meet abrasive staff.||Great breakfast though!!

Yelp
Nice respite on the way to the Isle of Skye. Our tour bus stopped in for a few minutes to enjoy a dram or two and use the facilities. There's a large bar and restaurant area, though at 3 in the afternoon, it was pretty quiet. The highlight was the canine companion who sat calmly by the windows and let you snuggle away from the dreary weather as you sipped your dram. Worth a stop, especially since we were told there's not much else in the area. Apparently, it's nicely situated for some good hiking.

Yelp
Our first trip to Scotland for my son's wedding and we were fortunate enough to find the Kintail Lodge Restaurant. We had a party of 9 and we made a quick reservation which was ready when we arrived. The bartenders set us up with drinks including locally sourced specialities which were amazing including " Tommy's Gin"gin and tonic which was a real winner. When the food arrived we started to eat and everyone was silent for a while and then all we could do was talk about how amazing the food was. We had the fish and chips, Caledonian steak pie, Salmon, Duck, and Venison. Every dish was prepared to Perfection ... then came desserts... rubbed tarts, pavlova with lemon curd, and berries with ice cream... we had an amazing time and are returning tomorrow night with our full wedding party of 11 to feast again! Thank you for the special evening kintail

Yelp
Great selection, service, and food. 5 star experience for an excellent price. Great beer and wine selection. We chose an abundance of items and they all delivered. Food was piping hot and excellent. Pictured is the Sea Beam. Nothing short of perception. Best chips I've had in Kyle, great soup rep pepper with basil fresh & light. Quick service. The table next to us got ice cream, the portion was out of this world I was praying someone at my table would order!

Yelp
Just spent 4 nights here. Great location good rooms and a very friendly, busy bar and resteraunt. Food has been good with good variation ( Soup of the day changed every day) Specials rotated abot 30% a day. Standard menu has good options - the sticky toffee pudding is particularly good. Friendly, fun staff. This is a good base to explore this area.

Yelp
This is a review for the restaurant. Had a couple of lovely meals there while I was in the area. My hostess had suggested it as one of the better places close to where I was staying and I was pleased enough the first night that I returned again for dinner the following evening. My first dinner there was late and the place wasn't too full. Dinner took a little while, but it was fine. The quality of the food was very nice and the waitstaff were very polite and friendly. I was well taken care of. The second night was good as well, even though it was somewhat earlier in the evening and the place was packed. The smoked salmon starter is very tasty and I enjoyed the salmon entree the second evening. The vanilla bean sauce is really wonderful.

Yelp
I recently stayed at this hotel/lodge for several nights and although the room decor is a little dated, the hotel staff is extremely nice and the view is incredible. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed and it reminds me of a large Bed and Breakfast. Were I to visit this area again, I would definitely stay here again.
