I can't comment on the rooms, we were staying at a campsite down the road who recommended the lodge for food, we went for a meal and a drink. The food was enjoyable and well presented. The service was excellent, we arrived a little late but we were allowed a meal. We spoke with residents who said they were more than happy with the accommodation.

Our opinion of Kintail Lodge improved throughout our stay. Unfortunately we entered through the bar, not realising that the intended entrance for the accommodation is around the side, which we only saw when we left. As such, we arrived in the bar and felt a bit conspicuous walking through with our luggage while everyone was enjoying a drink. The room was fine, nothing particularly special but clean, spacious and functional. We ate in the bar, enjoying watching the goats pass by over the road, and the food exceeded our expectations. The chef clearly takes pride in the food and you could tell the ingredients and preparation are carefully thought through. We spent a lovely, relaxed evening enjoying dinner and then playing pool, realising that the bar is actually a really welcoming space. The hotel is on a busy road but the sound insulation is excellent. Also the view from our room and the hotel generally is spectacular if the weather co-operates, and you can ignore the road as it did for us. All in all, we were happy with our stay but, looking back at what we paid across our road trip this was our most expensive room and I'm not sure this is justified as the high point was the evening meal which is obviously paid for separately.

Absolutely beautiful location! The rooms are well sized and furnished perfectly. Bathrooms are large and spacious. Everything is clean and immaculate. The restaurant and bar are icing on the cake! Great food and wonderful service. We 1,000% recommend this hotel and restaurant! 10 minutes to Eilean Donan Castle as well.

A fantastic hotel. The location is beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious and the room was excellent (room 1 has loads of space and has views over the loch and the hills, stunning!) We were sad to leave and wished we had booked for longer - we’ll be back!

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. A warm and friendly welcome upon arrival and the hotel staff couldn’t be more helpful as they greeted us, booked us in and showed us to our rooms||My room was large and warm with a huge en-suite attached. The rooms were very clean, well stocked and bright and warm. The bed was very comfortable so a good night’s sleep was had too. ||Dinner was served in the bar area. It was freshly cooked, tasty and good value for money. ||The hotel didn’t appear to have many guests ( it was after all mid week and out of holiday season) but large parts of the hotel had been newly renovated and although not yet open properly, looked fantastic and were very smartly furnished/decorated.||This was my first time at Kintail Lodge but it certainly won’t be my last.

A fantastic place. The staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about coalic (gluten free) options. The view from the hotel grounds across the loch is simply stunning, helped by the beautiful sunny weather. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast superb. We will be back if we are the area.

Overall a decent stay, with a delicious dinner but mediocre breakfast. The overall location is gorgeous, great views. Here's a more in-depth review. Hotel: service was the biggest issues as it felt like no one was there at the front desk as you had to go to the bar, but it wasn't clear who to actually talk to. Room was very comfortable, had the loft with the view. Hit my head a few times but the bed was super comfortable. Great pillows and comforter. I slept great. TV has streaming options for Netflix which was nice. However, it didnt seem like anyone checked the room prior to our stay as I had to clean a few dead flies. The breakfast was mediocre. I had the Scottish breakfast and my partner the salmon and eggs. The menu and food needs to be revised. Room: B+ Cleanliness: C Bed: A+ Service: C Breakfast: C+ Restaurant for Dinner: don't let the mediocre breakfast think that dinner service is the same. Dinner was phenomenal. Great menu and great food. The beef cheek and the weekend pot roast were great. The apple tart finished the meal nicely. Dinner: A-

Yelp
Nice respite on the way to the Isle of Skye. Our tour bus stopped in for a few minutes to enjoy a dram or two and use the facilities. There's a large bar and restaurant area, though at 3 in the afternoon, it was pretty quiet. The highlight was the canine companion who sat calmly by the windows and let you snuggle away from the dreary weather as you sipped your dram. Worth a stop, especially since we were told there's not much else in the area. Apparently, it's nicely situated for some good hiking.

Yelp
Our first trip to Scotland for my son's wedding and we were fortunate enough to find the Kintail Lodge Restaurant. We had a party of 9 and we made a quick reservation which was ready when we arrived. The bartenders set us up with drinks including locally sourced specialities which were amazing including " Tommy's Gin"gin and tonic which was a real winner. When the food arrived we started to eat and everyone was silent for a while and then all we could do was talk about how amazing the food was. We had the fish and chips, Caledonian steak pie, Salmon, Duck, and Venison. Every dish was prepared to Perfection ... then came desserts... rubbed tarts, pavlova with lemon curd, and berries with ice cream... we had an amazing time and are returning tomorrow night with our full wedding party of 11 to feast again! Thank you for the special evening kintail

Yelp
Great selection, service, and food. 5 star experience for an excellent price. Great beer and wine selection. We chose an abundance of items and they all delivered. Food was piping hot and excellent. Pictured is the Sea Beam. Nothing short of perception. Best chips I've had in Kyle, great soup rep pepper with basil fresh & light. Quick service. The table next to us got ice cream, the portion was out of this world I was praying someone at my table would order!

Yelp
Just spent 4 nights here. Great location good rooms and a very friendly, busy bar and resteraunt. Food has been good with good variation ( Soup of the day changed every day) Specials rotated abot 30% a day. Standard menu has good options - the sticky toffee pudding is particularly good. Friendly, fun staff. This is a good base to explore this area.

Yelp
This is a review for the restaurant. Had a couple of lovely meals there while I was in the area. My hostess had suggested it as one of the better places close to where I was staying and I was pleased enough the first night that I returned again for dinner the following evening. My first dinner there was late and the place wasn't too full. Dinner took a little while, but it was fine. The quality of the food was very nice and the waitstaff were very polite and friendly. I was well taken care of. The second night was good as well, even though it was somewhat earlier in the evening and the place was packed. The smoked salmon starter is very tasty and I enjoyed the salmon entree the second evening. The vanilla bean sauce is really wonderful.

Yelp
I recently stayed at this hotel/lodge for several nights and although the room decor is a little dated, the hotel staff is extremely nice and the view is incredible. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed and it reminds me of a large Bed and Breakfast. Were I to visit this area again, I would definitely stay here again.
