Kintaro Ramen

It’s a cozy, small restaurant that specialises in ramen noodles! I needed something warm and a ramen bowl was it. The place is busy so I didn’t see a very welcoming service but it wasn’t bad. The food is great! Need a bit salt for my taste but it is fulling and healthy, and a big portion which led me to take it home. The eggs are to die for, wish I took extra!

Recommended highly by a dear friend, I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes even after 8 PM. The restaurant is quite small, typical of many Japanese establishments. While the service was impressively fast, the taste didn't quite meet my expectations, which is why I rated it 4 stars.

I know the ramen place has been here for over 20 years, but I have to say it’s below my expectation. The bbq pork was well-cooked, but the soup was so salty that it even tasted bitter. I didn’t finish the soup as it’s salty and a bit fatty (I chose medium). The portable was quite good though.

Happy to finally cross this off my list! 5/5 really good ramen flavour overall, HUGE portion and definitely worth the price. The bowl was so big that I had to order two extra orders of noodles :)

The cold ramen was enjoyable, though the wakame seaweed was a bit tough and the BBQ pork was underwhelming—dry and with an off-putting smell. The miso broth was excellent, but it could have benefited from a greater variety of vegetables instead of just bean sprouts, corn, and bamboo shoots. Overall, the pork didn’t quite live up to expectations.

Restaurant is quite small but tasty ramen, although very rich even for “medium” richness. Good value for portion size.

This is always my favorite place for my friend and me to hang out. I always love the soup base of the ramen, and the thick ramen noodles are perfectly firm. Today, my friend tried the burnt shoyu ramen. It was unexpectedly good, and I loved the smoky flavor 😋

Had the ramen of my dreams here. Stopped by on a Wednesday night and grabbed a seat at the bar. It was a small place, only 5 tables and they will only seat you once every one arrives. There was a line most of the time I was dining. I had the spicy garlic ramen and it had such great flavour, spicy in a flavorful but not overpowering way. Noodles were soft and tender with great chews. Staff wasn’t overly friendly, but you don’t go there for the staff. Would definitely recommend and would be worth waiting in line for.
