Kiosk Cafe

The best place in York not just to enjoy coffee but to explore coffee. There’s an ever-changing choice of espresso, batch and v60 from roasters around the UK and beyond, perfectly prepared. Everyone’s super friendly and there’s a lovely welcoming unfussy vibe. Also lots of fancy beans for sale from guest roasters like DAK, Fort, Scenery, Harmony, Module, Darkwoods etc. AND great food, though food availability is a bit hit and miss. If you’re at all interested in expanding your coffee horizons or just enjoying a tasty brew, this is THE place in York. I’ve been 40+ times this year and it made me fall back in love with coffee.

We ordered a Lattee, it's one of the best we've tried so far in York! the staffs were friendly, service is great and overral atmostphere is lovely too. Highly recommended for a cup of coffee or other hot drinks!

Cute aesthic. Amazing coffee (and we are coffee snobs!) and fair pricing. Came here for our daily dose of coffee and can't fault it! Got a flat white and cortada and we're both amazing. Came here for the second time: Marked down as their Dirty Chai was HORRIBLE! So so sickly sweet. Please rethink your chai! Worst dirty chai we have had for a long time. Such a shame as our coffees the day before were lovely.

The flavours in the coffee at Kiosk were unexpected but totally enjoyable. Obviously, not to everyone's taste. One customer returned theirs because they didn't like it, and the guys were understanding and keen to offer an alternative. Many of the best coffee shops are small. So it is here, can easily find the place full with nowhere to sit. However, there were tables outdoors on the pavement. Recommended to me, now I'm recommending to you. Super cute coffee place with a nice ambiance and friendly staff. There is a home-style kitchen behind the counter. I ordered a cup of flat white and halloumi & potato hash, both of which were super delicious. I would definitely visit again if I come back to York.

Very small but lovely little coffee house down the side streets of York. Coffees were both lovely, and the staff were very friendly.

The best coffee and food I have had in York by a mile. Incredibly well made coffee, batch brew is particularly delicious and the food is always super unique and tasty. Great options for vegans and veggies and the cakes are a great pairing. Limited seating so get I'm early but you will not be disappointed!

I don't think I would have found this little gem without a tip-off from a local student I met at an art conference (thank you, Rebecca!). The best meal I had during my 3-day trip to York!! But it's not just the food, everything about Kiosk just made me feel happy and at home. Lovely homely interior with plants and art, minimalist furniture yet cosy, friendly staff looking after a good mix of punters (during my visit all ages were present from baby to pensioner). The menu is presented on a clipboard that hangs on the wall with additional daily specials. Everything looked fantastic and my beetroot curry was delicious. Would have loved to stay for a coffee (proper filter coffee, just as I like it) but time was running out and more sightseeing to do.
