Be careful if you have pets! We used booking.com for booking. I search accommodation pets friendly and found this one. I book for 3 night but they let me stay only 2 night because I bring dogs. They told me ether I need to pay fine for bringing dogs or I need to leave. I decided to leave but they didn't want to give me refunds. If you are not pet friendly, don't tag it in booking websites.

Disappointing experience despite a nice setting The hotel is well located, surrounded by nature, with a nice atmosphere and a small pool. However, several issues made our stay disappointing. First, the room was extremely dark since the windows faced directly into the forest, allowing very little natural light in. This isn’t a major problem, but it’s something to be aware of. However, as soon as we entered the room, we noticed a strong musty smell, likely due to the humidity. It was quite unpleasant. Another issue was the ant infestation in the room. We reported it to the reception when we checked out, and their only response was, “Oh, you should have told us.” This, besides being unhelpful, makes it seem like they were already aware of the issue but hadn’t addressed it. Next, the so-called “free Wi-Fi” was completely unusable in our room because we had no signal at all. We couldn’t connect the entire evening, which was frustrating since it was advertised as an included service. Finally, the biggest disappointment was breakfast. It was supposed to be included, but by 9:30-10:00 AM, there was nothing left. When we asked at reception, they told us it was a “complimentary” breakfast and that if nothing was left, too bad. But if a service is advertised as included, it should actually be available! We ended up leaving on an empty stomach, with no compensation or concern from the staff. Overall, the setting is nice, but the service definitely needs improvement. Between the lack of customer consideration, the undelivered services, and the state of the rooms, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Disappointing stay. Have signs up and advise on pre-arrival information if you don't do your dishes and clean up you'll be charged but NO cloth or tea towels provided if you wanted to wash dishes. No TV reception and when I went to see reception during advertised open hours, it was closed so I called and was told that we were emailed to advise they had no working tv reception but the only email I received was about limited wifi. Shower pressure is bad. Cooking facilities in room were rusted badly and so unhygienic and felt if you tried to use it, it'd catch on fire, nothing tested & tagged. Curtains don't close properly and have stains and holes. Cupboard missing door so you look straight at the hot water system. Guests staying beside us even mentioned how run down and old the rooms were and that they definitely don't look like the photos on the internet. Looks like your entering a construction zone, which is great if they are actually doing things up, but wasn't pleasant stay for us. Only good points is: Bed comfortable & shower tiles look new. I did speak to the maintenance person who cleaned the pool and he does try his hardest to look after this area well, he did ask me to mention that in a review 😂 The cleaners seemed lovely even though the room was ok (passable) but not great as floors were still dirty on arrival. Found a cheaper and MUCH better place to stay in Airlie Beach. Sorry but I can't recommend trying elsewhere highly enough before thinking of booking here!

Really bad room. Not clean. Sheets were dirty (dog hair). DIY bed – we had to make it ourselves when we arrived. Dog fleas in the bed, we got bitten all over, making it very uncomfortable to sleep. Tiny room, very difficult for the four of us to eat inside. I do not recommend it. We went to complain several times at the reception, but nothing was done.

Our room was deliberately very small, but it was modern, private, and had everything needed. Very happy. Bus stop 100m from the front door of the resort and plenty of free in site parking. Large communal kitchen was open, friendly and modern, and well equipped with a tropical vibe.

Pet friendly cabin was very ugly. Floor still had pet hair from previous guest/s. Just an overall dirty feeling in that cabin.

Stupid rules, that guest need to clean rooms or additional charge! Bathroom sink was not draining fast enough, dirty on the shower border, kitchen not stock for anything except drinking.

What is there to say about this place? Reception was friendly. I think her name was Kerry. Check in took forever because their internet was not working. ||"breakfast " was a joke. See photo. Flies were everywhere. No one was using it. It was filthy. ||I paid for an upgrade to a "vintage villa ", the name says it all. It is a demountable cabin which is very tiny ,old and falling apart. It was overpriced . ||There are other places in Airlie that are new and modern closer to town. Not recommended. It is also too far from town centre. Car is required. It is out of town.

Yelp
What a find! Kipara is a comfortable, basic, no-frills accommodation in the heart of Jubilee Pocket in Airlie Beach. On our way into town and with spotty data coverage, I was scrambling to find somewhere for my husband and I to stay for a night or two. I came across Kipara on another website with promising reviews, so I booked a night through Trip Advisor at a good rate. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the young lady at the front desk who gave us a map to our room and highlighted all the facilities available. There is on-site laundry, a shared BBQ and nearby parking. The grounds are lush and green, with countless bush turkeys running around and squawking cockatoos to serve as your alarm clock in the morning. The room itself was very small but perfect for just two of us, with a new equally small but clean ensuite bathroom. Everything functioned as it should and I was overwhelmingly grateful for excellent water pressure in the shower after camping for a few days. There was a TV, a closet to store luggage and clothing to keep it out of the limited open space in the room, a water boiler for tea in the morning (you'll find tea bags and instant coffee in the room), and even a mini fridge which we used to keep the beers cold :-) Towels are also provided. Beds are not very comfortable, but that's probably the only neutral comment I can make. After staying one night, we decided to add on a couple more to continue exploring Airlie, and the friendly staff was kind enough to accommodate our original booking price. I cannot say enough positive things about the folks that work at Kipara - they are really lovely! Also, if you're in need of some guidance on what to do in town, check out the lobby for brochures and personal advice from whomever is on duty. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone needing a reasonable Nd comfortable accommodation while visiting beautiful Airlie Beach.

Yelp
I would stay here again. It was clean, quiet and safe during my 2 nights. I'm really didn't want to stay in a shared hostel, but rather a hotel and this was an affordable alternative. The local Airlie Beach bus stop is walking distance from here, so to get to the main area of town (or more specifically, to Airlie Beach), I took the bus to/from everyday. That bus ride is barely 10 mins and comes about every 20-30 minutes. My bus pass was 5.80$A to go back and forth. My room was simple, but it had all I needed. My package included WiFi and my room was temperature controlled (thank goodness!). The floors are a bit creaky and walls are thin, so you can hear your neighbors though lucky for me I don't think I had a neighbor my 2nd night. The front desk staff is thoughtful, and helpful. They aren't open 24/7 so get your questions asked during opening hours. Kipara was described as super clean in my Lonely Planet Australia guide, and they delivered.
