Google
Very nice place, unfortunately it was quite short and too close to the road, the noise from the cars will make it difficult for other animals or bird to get closer. There is room for make it better hopefully they do. The one issue at least when I went it was full of grasshoppers.

Google
Kirby Storter was an unexpectedly wonderful stop big Cypress preserve. The boardwalk starts at being very unassuming, but in the middle of the trail, you encounter a cypress swamp with very large cypress trees. That is so impressive. the alligator deep pond at the end of the boardwalk is beautiful… I saw many birds even in the rain… But no alligators as they were likely in the water, keeping warm, being in the colder air from the rain Wheel check, accessible flat boardwalk is an easy hike for virtually anybody A super great stop… Do it!

Google
Boardwalk is very pretty, but only 0.3 miles one way.

Beautiful surroundings, quiet and idyllic. The scenery was beautiful, saw fish, turtles, lots of birds and a few sounds we thought may have been bigger mammals. The walk is perfect for those who want to experience nature without going too far. Park up and head for a wander. The light just before sunset was amazing.

Google
Great boardwalk with abundant wildlife. We saw fish, turtles, a lot of birds and cool forestry. I would bring mosquito spray and sun screen - only part of the trail is shaded and those parts are in mosquito heaven.

Good little spot nearby the camping and airboating adventure to stroll around and experience the ecosystem of the everglades from close. Good pier and a trail that leads to a swamp which has gators and turtles, with a nice hut along the way. Plenty of parking space makes it accessible. I’d recommend it for quick (1-2hour) stop and take the glades in at leisure.

Amazing little stop while going past the Everglades. There is a boardwalk thats about a 5-10min walk and at the end is a rather large pond around with plenty of fish and turtles. There is quite a lot of parking and a restroom and there are a few picknick tables.

Google
No signs about it in the parking lot, but the boardwalk is only a couple hundred feet long due to a fire. But the little part that remains was lovely and we saw lots of birds and a snake. Bathroom and large parking lot too. Hope they rebuild it because it seems like a great place to see wildlife!

Yelp
Kirby Storter Roadside Park gets you up close and personal to the grandeur of Big Cypress Preserve. The park is named for Kirby Storter, a member of one of the areas pioneering families. He worked as an electrician and carpenter for Barron Collier and he also worked for the Florida Roads Department where he oversaw the construction of the Tamiami Trail which the park sits on. The parks was created through the efforts of Friends of Big Cypress Preserve. This park is located halfway through Big Cypress Preserve. There are picnic tables and a primitive restroom next to the parking area. From the parking lot you can take a stroll on a half mile boardwalk that takes you from a sawgrass prairie to a cypress swamp before ending at a gator hole. This area provides food and shelter for alligators, birds, reptiles, and mammals. The park is open dawn to dusk and it is a great place to get out and stretch your legs. I didn't see any alligators but I did spot some turtles and birds. Interpretive signs along the way let you know what you are looking at. My favorite boardwalk along Tamiami Trail is the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk but this one is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

Yelp
Nice spot to take a break and have some lunch. I was surprise at how active this place is. They have 4 little pavilions with picnic tables. It was very peaceful as we were sitting there. After we had our lunch, we decided to take a walk on the bridge to see where it took us. A lot of walking and we finally hit a dead end. I was disappointed that the end of the bridge didn't have better scenery. If it wasn't so hot, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. I DO NOT recommend the restrooms. My husband tried to go in one but turned around and walked right back out. There are more decent restrooms at the Oasis Visitors Center about 2 miles east of here.

Yelp
A must stop if you are in the vicinity and are stopping at either of the Big Cypress Visitor Centers. Ample parking, compost restroom, and the longest boardwalk (just under a mile one way) of any of the available stop-offs. Great for birdwatching and some fantastic "swamp" vistas. Just beware, spiderwebs galore along the boardwalk, so wearing and sunglasses helped when they were face level. You can sometimes seem glint in the sunlight. Lol a couple that was walking behind me probably thought I was crazy cuz I was karate kicking my way through one area that was heavily riddled w/them. All in all, a great pit stop to stretch your legs and get some great views of the Cypress swamp area, while communing w/this different kind of nature!

Yelp
This was our own private Everglades stop, we were here for :30 and didn't see another person or animal. We parked in the lot and followed the boardwalk into the forest passing huge Cyprus trees and many air plants or Tillandsias. There wasn't much happening here, clean rest rooms & shady picnic tables. Interesting how each stop in the Everglades presented different foliage and animals or none.

Yelp
Nice walking path. Didn't see any gators or panthers. Plenty of fish, turtles and birds.

Yelp
I give this trail and boardwalk four stars because it lacks boards/signs with information on the wild life. It has a lovely scenery of trees and vegetation. Last part of the trail is shady which is really appreciated. Lots of insect sounds along the way. At the end - water. We saw many sea turtles and fish. Parking lot with tables for picnic and restrooms.

Yelp
Cute, clean park with limited but reasonable amenities, given the location. Great picnic spot. There are restrooms on site but no water there, just be aware. There's a scenic down and back walkway for stretching your legs.

Yelp
Good stop to take when going for a scenic ride through Florida everglades. Its got some good shady spots to stop and view the natural Florida environment. It is a short bridge for a hike and not a spot for camping but a nice place for day trippers to hangout. There is a clean bathroom. No vending machines, no water fountain so come prepared with your own drinks and snacks.
