Not too far from town. Very peaceful place. Wake up in the morning you can feel the fresh air surrounding 😊 nice swimming pool too. Good breakfast, all staff are very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the two nights at this resort.

We've just had the most fantastic stay, thank you for looking after us so well and making our stay in Chiang Mai so relaxing and comfortable! The rooms were extremely clean, spacious. The beds and pillows were really comfortable and we slept well every night. Every member of staff was so kind and attentive. The hotel is in a peaceful and serene setting with a view of the mountain. I highly recommend the restaurant, the food was truly outstanding! The menu offers both Northern and Southern Thai cuisine. We ate so many delicious things during our stay. A particular highlight was the Pad Thai with prawns! They also offer a great selection of cocktails and a variety of coffees. We will be recommending this hotel to family and friends and we will be back if we return to Chiang Mai.

Good view of the lake and mountain from a room, in the mid of greenery, quiet and relaxing but 10 min from downtown, 4-5 km. Be prepared for small insects and mosquitos outside the room.

Kiree Thara is a beautiful, and small well-built resort that is away from the city centre yet near enough if you have transport. It is about 8 km from the city. Our group of 7 stayed for 10 days and another joined us for 5. The highlight of staying there is the Saturday farmers market at Nana's Jungle, which is a small residential enclave just 5 minutes walking distance. People from all over Chiangmai go there for the freshly baked bread and free coffee. It is absolutely charming for city folks to spend a morning there as local handicrafts, nice food, soft live music and fresh produce abound. Back to the resort. You wake up to a view of Doi Suthep (executive suites, rooms 303 and 403 side) and cockerels crowing. Its gardens are very well-maintained as is the pool. The staff are generally helpful though not many speak English. We have stayed there many times and this trip was after a hiatus of 4 years due to the pandemic. It would have been nice if the resort keeps a record of their guests' preference, especially repeat long staying guests. Perhaps it was too much to ask, for instance, to ensure there are more hangers instead of just 2-3 in the wardrobe. No extras were given until I spoke to the boss personally. Extra tissue boxes for the toilet/counter area would have been nice but these were not forthcoming. probably because they did not have enough of the wooden boxes to put the loose tissue in. A small microwave oven to heat up food in the bar/kitchenette area would be perfect since there is no room service. You get 2 bottles of water daily. Breakfast selection is rather limited although I believe the food in their cafe is good. The resort is aging but it is okay if you like a countryside feel where things are rough around the edges. Wifi is slow and needs improvement but if you are on holiday, who cares?! I think the price per night is not cheap by Chiangmai standards, so they should level up with more attention to detail, for instance checking that everything works before they check in guests. My shower rose was jammed but it was resolved rather quickly, thanks to the boss who bore the brunt of my complaints. And yes, a small vase of fresh flowers in the room to calm my nerves is a nice touch. Thank you, Bob! Wish you all the best for your resort.

I love taking baths and doing so in Chaing Mai, Thailand, and Asia overall, which is a bit difficult due to homes and hotels only having showers. This place has a huge bathtub to luxuriate in, and in the morning, the sun shines through the window, adding to the ambiance of it all. I stayed in the Deluxe room, which is huge as well, fits 4 people, and feels as though you are in an apt space. The view of the pool, the lake, and the mountains are quite meditative. My children made use of the pool and loved it. There are loving cats on the property as well, and my children and I really enjoyed their company. I had a great oil massage to prepare me for my bath. My son and I ate at the restaurant indoors, and the service along with the food was great. Later that evening, my children ordered room service to eat again, and their service was top-notch! My son really enjoyed his porkchop:) I was able to practice yoga on their lawn, unbothered during the early hours of the day. Afterward, I enjoyed breakfast as I sat outside to enjoy chicken rice porridge for the first time. I inquired about returning once a month for my self-care routine, and the staff was extremely accomadating! Check-out was fast and easy, and of course, I will be returning very soon and often.

My wife and I loved staying at Kireethara for 8 nights in late Dec 2018. The Executive Room felt more like a home than a hotel room. The hotel landscaping was stunningly beautiful. The shower and bath were each large enough for a couple. The restaurant food was tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making us feel more like honored family than foreigners. The bar, pool, exercise and massage rooms were convenient and appealing. If you prefer being in the action all the time, stay in town 15 minutes away. But for those, like us, who want a quiet beautiful place to come home to after exploring Chiang Mai and its magnificent surroundings, Kireethara is ideal. This is a 5-star hotel at a 3-star price.

We like this hotel because it is away from the city center and have stayed there 3 times. It is small and quiet. Although it is showing signs of age, the executive deluxe room is a comfortable size. I also wished they could have taken note of our preferences as returning guests but that might have been expecting too much. The speed with which our requests were met made up for it and suggestions for improvements and little touches were noted down by Lek, their new Resident Manager. The heater broke down on one night but it was promptly repaired the next day. Likewise, a blown bulb. We had hoped for softer pillow choices but that was not available. Staff are generally polite, friendly, efficient and housekeeping of a good standard although the laundry service is contracted out and took more than a day to be returned. Lek, the front office and restaurant staff always have a smile for us and Sam, their other Manager, was friendly too. Mostly it is waking up to a Mountain View, fresh air and sounds of the cockerels crowing that have brought us back to this tiny resort. We were generally happy with our 12 nights stay here and I miss it already.
