Location overlooking Luang Prabang and the surrounding hills is naturally scenic. From the moment the hotel's driver met us at the train station to check in etc all the staff were very polite & friendly. We had an issue with our room but it was rectified quickly & to our satisfaction, which says a lot for the hotel's excellent customer satisfaction. There was a very good choice of freshly cooked food for breakfast. The pool overlooking the location is probably one of the best we've seen in Luang Prabang. While it's about a half hour walk into the Old Quarter, the hotel provides an on-call shuttle till 9.15pm. Would highly recommend the Kiridara.

OMG the stairs! Definitely not for anyone who is mobility challenged. Or has young children. Or is somewhat older. There is no lift. We counted 70 stairs up to our room. Not what we wanted after a full and tiring day of sightseeing. ||Breakfast is fine enough, somewhat limited, not particularly bountiful. It is a distance from town, through they do offer a complimentary shuttle. They provide nothing in the room, even charged us a whopping $4 USD for a small bottle of water we took from the minibar. Definitely the least of the hotels we stayed in through our travels to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

We arranged for train pickup. Very convenient. The staff was super nice. The room was rustic and relaxing.. this place had all of the amenities needed/wanted, including a complimentary shuttle drop off/pick up for the night market. I felt that the menu was a bit too fancy for the area/design of the hotel, although what I had was good. Some of the breakfast items were served cold when they should have been hot they do not have sterno/ chafing dishes to keep them warm. The pool was nice, although slippery with no safety rail & with all black tiles & no lights, hard to determine next step down. The hot sauna/steam room, exfoliating scrub & massage was excellent! The pedicure was NOT a pedicure- very disappointing. Even though the girl did a good job of filing and shaping, painting. There was no exfoliation for the bottom of the feet/heel, exfoliation for the legs or massage. The water was COLD & NOT hot. I was seated on an old sunken-in love seat that was uncomfortable, not a comfortable seat by any means. They also did not have drip dry so even though my nails were drying for 3 hours before I went to sleep they were all smudged by morning. As far as the property goes, it could use some exterior/roof top touch-up paint and/or pressure washing. Once again staff was great, room was nice, restocked accordingly & having some extra conveniences made this a decent choice.

Kiridara Luang Prabang is a lovely, peaceful hotel with great amenities and a friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering fresh fruits, pastries, and local dishes each morning, along with the option to order off the menu. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had a fantastic view. The bathtub was huge, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. While the TV signal was a bit pixelated (understandable given the location), it didn’t detract from the overall experience. The hotel itself is quiet and serene, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A nice bonus is the courtesy van, which can take you into town and pick you up with just a quick message via WhatsApp. The only downside was the mosquitoes—there were a few in the room, and we had to kill them, so be sure to take precautions. Overall, though, it was a great stay and I’d highly recommend it!

Great location, could see the Golden Temple. Staff was great. The food and drinks really good. The F&B manager was wonderful. Room was rustic but big. There’s a lovely tub to enjoy. They have this neat stand for your phone, so when you play music it acts as a speaker and it’s made of bamboo. Nice pool. Manager was very helpful.

The staff are very welcoming. Spacious, comfortable rooms - ours had a little garden looking down on to the pool. Breakfast is substantial and very good. There is a minibus service provided for the short ride into town. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful resort style hotel with just 20+ rooms. Location on a hillside gave it a view of Phousi Hill in the distance. Stylish room had a little wear and tear but spacious enough with an outdoor terrace. Housekeeping did a good job meeting our needs. However, both the 2 pillows were too soft, they should provide one that's hard. Breakfast was outstanding in terms of quality and quantity. Part of it was a buffet and you could also order anything from a menu. Had a quiet dinner on the pool deck too. Location and traffic made it a bit difficult to walk or cycle to the sights, so we relied on the complimentary shuttle which ran until approx.8.45pm. Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Extremely good value compared to the over-priced big name resorts and hotels there.

I had high expectations for Kiridara Luang Prabang based on the stunning photos on Agoda, but unfortunately, the reality didn’t quite match up. The location is decent but not as breathtaking as it appeared in the pictures. The rooms are spacious, but I found them lacking in coziness. The air conditioning also struggled to keep the room cool at night, which affected my sleep. On the positive side, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent, especially the coffee. However, the hotel is quite far from town, and although they offer a shuttle service, the distance can be inconvenient. Overall, I felt a bit misled by the beautiful pictures, and the experience was more average than expected. Be aware that the photos may set your expectations higher than what you’ll actually experienc
