Fascinating park to visit to get a feel of the wildlife and vegetation in Madagascar which are different and unusual than the rest of the world like the lemurs and the baobab trees. The animals camouflaged themselves very well and it took a very alert pair of eyes to spot them. Definitely worth a visit

The park is really nice and worth a visit. As there are almost no tourists going there (compared to other parks) the staff at the office in Belo-sue-mer tried to sell us a 1 hour boat trip for 500‘000. Although I told him that this is a scam he refused to reduce the price. So I asked him to give me a receipt in case I purchase the trip but of course he didn’t want to. I advice you to NOT use the official office at Belo as this guy will rip you off. Go rather to one of the hotels as we did and you will have a full day trip for half of the price!

We did only the night walk in the forest (from 6 to 8 pm) and it was very suggestive. We saw 3 species of lemurs, spiders and scorpion!
Very recommended. Arrive at 5:30 to assure you a guide.

Day and night visits to the forest and visitor would see lemurs, fossa, boa, many interesting insects, geckos etc. here. Highly recommended.
There are basic accommodation, and a nice restaurant on site at this campus.

Pretty disappointed by Kirindy. Perhaps unreasonable expectations after our guidebook said you have to be unlucky not to see a fossa.
The parking area where you meet the guide is full of litter and run down. Our guide was unfit and seemed to struggle after 90 mins of walking through the park.
His approach to finding the fossa is to ‘see if she walks past the camp.’ Which is pretty low effort. We also saw a guide pouring water to lure the lemurs down and then let visitors pose with the animals as they came down the tree. It’s a fine line between luring animals towards us, which happens in all the parks and another to then encourage posing for Disney style pictures with wild animals.
Worth stopping at if going to Tsingy but still a far from brilliant experience from the guides and environment.

Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends -- Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo -- have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape -- with the help of some prodigious penguins -- to explore the world.
