I really loved my stay in this family owned and run hotel. The owner and staff take great care of their guests making sure that all your needs are met. I really felt at home during my 2-week stay there. The area of Kirtipur is beautiful and quite, mostly residential. I found this to be the perfect alternative to the crowded and hectic city center. I had plenty of opportunities for peaceful evening strols through the neighborhood and even hiking in the nearby mountains is an option available by foot. I’m particular, if you stay for a couple of days of for work, I fully recommend this hotel.

We stayed for a week while working at Kirtipur hospital. The hotel is no frills, but comfortable. The hosts are lovely and so attentive! The restaurant was delicious and very clean and well prepared, we did not worry at all. The view is unparalleled and the hotel is within walking distance of the sights in Kirtipur. Wifi was fine, and heating worked well.

The food was nice and the washrooms needed to be clean and well maintained.

Hangout with friends and family to stay and enjoy the view of Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu and Lalitpur with hills surrounding it) or you can plan for a business trip and seminar. I found great service here and enjoyed delicious food at hygienic environment with a great view.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The family were so warm and welcoming. The real highlight was when they invited us to share their Tihar Festival ceremony. A large area was marked out with marigolds After we had the Tilak mark annointed - while we squatted - on our forehead we had a bag of goodies to enjoy. Later we sat at the table and enjoyed over 20 delicious curries and potent rice wine, We could not believe the amount of work this family had put into making this season a success. In the evening we walked down to the ancient Temple where nearby there was a gig going on. Nexy day aafter a good nights sleep we were able to enjoy the high panoramic view from the breakfast table. Just stunning. Thank you for a stay we will never forget.

I visit Nepal every year, each time I stay at Hillside Hotel. This hotel has been upgraded since my first visit here some 8 years ago. I like many things here including the warm atmosphere of the owner Vijaya Maharjan, his brother Ajaya Maharjan and their family. The view may be superb from the terrace where is the dining room. The food is very good (I am fond of their mango lassi!). There are very nice walks to make nearby, and there is no pollution like in Kathmandu. I already recommended it to several friends and all of them were thankful to me.
