Let's just say that this is not a restaurant I have enjoyed dining in.
We (as a group of 5 Asians) entered the restaurant around noon and were seated at the large round table next to the window. Since we are aware that our general appetite are less than the average European, we normally order slightly less and share together, and this has basically never been a problem. We decided for a kiskakukk plate (for two people), another main course, and four soups as appetizer.
While ordering the (presumably) owner kept pushing on us to order more since he was adamant that "this definitely will be too little for 5 people". We stated that we want to be more conservative with estimating portion sizes to prevent wasting food, and that we will be more than happy to order more later if we find it suitable. After trying unsuccessfully to convince us several times, his attitude immediately shifted.
All service after that were basically non existent. He simply half-threw the plates on our table when bringing them to us. When the main course is served, we asked if we could get an additional set of cutlery, and were initially refused since he insisted "the main course you ordered is only for three people".
For the entire duration of our meal we felt like the owner expected us to order more since we were given the big table, and by us not ordering as much we are wasting his generosity. But at time the restaurant is basically empty, so it is not like we are occupying space for other peoples order and slowing their table turnover rate. However, just to be clear, this part is purely MY speculation.
The food itself is actually pretty decent and the interior decoration and atmosphere is pretty cool, hence the second star. Absolutely is not worth the hassle of basically getting borderline abusive service, though.
