We stayed there last year but it's still the best hostel we've stayed at (travelled for a total of five weeks with many hostels), it's still our favourite.
The breakfast and free beer is a nice touch and the double room we had was cosy and private but didn't isolate ourselves from the other guests. The hostel stuck the right balance of peaceful and relaxing and going to town (not just the guests but the staff gave good vibes also). The hostel dog is cute and gives you some time with some pets incase you mis yours but is easily avoided should you want to.
The staff and super helpful in giving us advice in heading to Bran Castle, the different hiking routes, and what to do in town.
The hostel itself was clean and tidy. The kitchen area was a nice social area but also allowed for some own cooking however the cooker was stuck on a painfully low output meaning cooking times increased dramatically. The outside area was nice although we didn't use it much since we were exploring.
Overall, our favourite hostel of all time, with great staff and an amazing atmosphere.
