We visited Hopkins. We stayed 2 nights, And had a great time.|We stayed in Kismet and went to different places to eat,|Me and my older sister played on a swing a lot. We could also swim. Me, my |Sister, and my mom saw a lot of cool birds on the beach. ||We went to a restaurant called peers, open every day, even on new years day! Hopkins is an amazing place to spend a few days. Hopkins is a cool chill beach town, the kind that's getting harder and harder to find!

The owner Tricia is so sweet, funny and really helpful with places to go and what to do in Hopkins. The rooms all have double beds and have mosquito nets and fans so it’s perfect. The house itself is beautiful - the decorations are incredible and it really sets such a cool atmosphere. There’s a lovely terrace with chairs and a hammock which are perfect for relaxing in and enjoying the ocean breeze. The house is a on the beach and a bit out of town which is nice because it means it’s very peaceful. Tricia has 2 bikes you can borrow to cycle to town which takes under 10 minutes. Would really recommend❤️

This place is awesome!||We were greeted after a long road trip with a warm welcome and a tour of the place.||Our host Tricia, is a fantastic cook. She made dinner with fish, cooked vegetables, salad and homemade bread. ||Breakfast was fresh fruit, potato pancakes and more.||It was a pleasure to relax in the hammock and share wonderful conversation when we wanted to connect.||We slept peacefully with the sound of the ocean and the cool breeze. ||The outdoor shower is warm and wonderful to rinse off in, after getting in the ocean.||The wifi was very fast and worked great, 100% of the time. ||We were close enough to walk to the village and enjoy Garifuna drumming and cold drinks.||This was an authentic introduction to Hopkins, Belize. ||We will be coming back in the future.||10 out of 10!||||

Amazing place! Tricia made me feel right at home. Her place is at the beach with a beautiful view. She also has a restaurant and is an amazing cook. So you can wake up, sit on the porch, at the beach or inside to enjoy your morning coffee and a delicious breakfast. Perfect start of the day.

I had a really great time... Tricia was a lot of fun... Knowledgeable and personable. Easy to talk to and truly interested in her guests. She helped all of us find the most affordable way to do what we wanted to do while we were in Belize.

Best place to stay in all Belize. The owner is an absolute delight! The place is full of handpainted art and is absolutely charming. A little beach in front that feels private and colors galore. Its also the best beachfront deal in Belize for Short-Long term stays.

I have backpacked all over the world and lived only at hostels and other rustic/minimalistic places meant for low-budget backpackers so I am generally not picky at all. This place is rustic, right by the water and has good potential. There are some bicycles for use too (though they are poorly maintained and rusted). However, the host is not running the place well at all. I was the only guest staying at the time. Yet the husband of the host and his friends chose my dorm room window to hang out in front of and drink, smoke and talk late into the night. My bed was right next to the open window and a nice sea breeze was going but tainted with smoke. There was a hammock on the balcony in front of my room but I could never use it because the husband was on it all the time and then slept there for the night. What is the point of hosts using guest spaces? The host likes to ramble on about intimate details of her personal life, cursing along the way, despite me dropping subtle hints that I was not interested. Getting information was hard because every question took so much time for the host to answer and had conflicting answers. She barged in twice into my room without knocking. I like the hippie vibe but in her case it has gone to a weird extreme. I went to a different part of the beach to swim to get away from the drama and get some privacy. At night I went to a bar to escape the husband and his friends at my door, and yet, the host followed me there and sat next to me. I think giving guests their space and privacy would be a start. Also, having strangers hanging around the rooms of the guests should be disallowed. It does not make any backpacker feel safe given their personal items are in the common dorm area. I stayed one night and left first thing in the morning. I don't recommend this place to even hardy backpackers unless they like the extreme eccentricity and lack of common manners on the part of the host.

First off this is not a 5 start hotel if that's what your looking for. These are secluded cabanas with a real sociable person that owns it. For the people staying it is not safe, I have stayed here three times and I disagree very much, I have also camped on this property. If you want a fresh herb and healthy meal made to order on the sea this is a good place to stay. I was injured during my last stay and not knowing anyone on the area I went back to Trish (owner) for help, she gave us a discounted room, fed us whatever we wanted and gave me medicine and great care. I will be friends for life with the people I have met here. If you are a uptight class and sass person this place is not for you. This unique place is for the chill and open minded. The two dogs were so friendly and there are a few chickens roaming around. I cannot wait to come back again!
