The mangalica pork chop was amazing, the best I've ever tried. The potato and sauce was really great. My gf ordered goulash, she did not enjoy it much because she's not fan of beef, otherwise it was great.

The goulash, and pork chop were insanely good. Friendly staff, and such a cute and intimate spot! I will recommend it to anyone I know when visiting Budapest! You won’t be disappointed here.

We visited today on the recommendation of our city guide and were not disappointed. The atmosphere and food were excellent. A very pleasant small restaurant with delicious local cuisine. As there are only a few seats available, it is essential to book in advance. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Kispiac Bisztró is a fantastic spot in Budapest if you’re looking for authentic Hungarian flavors in a cozy, welcoming setting, the boss is super friendly and welcoming . We tried the pork ribs, duck, and lamb, and each dish was outstanding. The ribs were tender and juicy with a smoky, savory glaze that melted in the mouth. The duck was perfectly roasted, rich in flavor, and paired beautifully with vegetables and sauce. The lamb was slow-cooked, hearty, and full of depth, complemented by fresh seasonal sides. Portions were generous, and the quality was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Budapest who wants delicious Hungarian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! Our group went through most of the menu and all of desert and everything was amazing, unique, classical Hungarian. Made our evening. Extra treat was that our tables were close to the open plan kitchen and we got to watch chefs whip up their magic. Local wines are great too! Excellent ambience and service.

Food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Every dish was a hit. We had the prawns, the duck, the ribs, the chicken and pork chop and last but not least, the duck liver. It was all chef’s kiss and I will definitely recommend this place. Staff were super friendly and the restaurant owner was engaging and enthusiastic. Great atmosphere with its retro style and music

Fantastic. The meat is so tender it melts in your mouth. Flavours are deep and authentic. I know if my grandma was hungarian she will cook like this, cannot think of a better compliment. The staff and the atmosphere are so cozy and familiar that you really feel at home. Cannot recommend enough. Do book in advance cause it is a small place so limited sitting.

This place is American author Rod Dreher’s favorite local restaurant, so we had to try it for our last meal in Budapest. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes, and we asked for their wine recommendations to pair with our dishes.
