Wonderful experience, I love the dinner and breakfast so much. We ate a LOT because it’s so delicious. The onsen and gym are also amazing. I would expect the gym to have a squat rack/bench rack for leg training except for the free weights. Everything else is perfect.

The first hotel I stayed in Japan. it is fantastic if you visit in winter with its room featuring pricate outdoor bath. You will be looking at the snowy Shiretoko and enjoy your time. Plus its seafood-don in the morning and buffet at night. the whole experience is just dreamy. One alert: book your room at least 2 months earlier and try to avoid Chinese public holiday.

Home over the next couple of days as we explore the wildlife around the area. Modern contemporary rooms with general grandeur throughout the property. The restaurant team certainly cooks up a storm and runs an amazing gastronomic array using the freshest ingredients and covering all the bases of mainly Japanese (sashimi, sushi, tempura) with some international dishes (venison ragu pasta). With robots and well-orchestrated teamwork, I would imagine all guests certainly went away satisfied and impressed.

Nice hotel on a convenient location to visit the Shiretoko National Park. Pretty large rooms with comfortable beds. Nice facilities including public bath and big lounge area with free drinks. The buffet restaurant is a bit price for in my opinion.

Remote luxury hotel at the edge of the national park. Note that the town itself isn't much of a town in winter - it's really just a few convenience stores and a visitor's centre. But you don't need anything because this hotel is awesome! It's a self contained resort with a buffet restaurant, shop, onsen, gym and chocolate cafe. The remoteness of the location is extremely relaxing and you can stare out at the ocean all day, in between your national park expedition and activities. The buffet dinner and breakfast is also worth mentioning as it's not your average lazy buffet. Most dishes are cooked and made to order in front of you, and presented beautifully. Service is friendly and efficient. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The lobby is pure luxury and the free drinks in the lounge are generous. It's really a hotel that I genuinely enjoyed staying at, and my favourite in all of Hokkaido. Highly recommended and I look forward to returning here in the future!

Our stay at Kitakobushi Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The resort boasts tastefully appointed accommodations. The staff demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and helpfulness. The onsen bath offers an array of amenities, is immaculate, and provides breathtaking views. The Life Table buffet is a culinary delight, featuring high-quality, delectable dishes that consistently surprise and delight. The guest lounge is comprehensive and well-stocked. The resort’s prime location is ideal, conveniently situated near the UNESCO Natural Heritage site. Additionally, the hotel provides comprehensive information on visiting the Shiratoko Pass and the numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area.

Very pricey but the dinner and breakfast were really good. The rooms are clean too, and the onsen bath are also 👍🏻👍🏻 BTW the interior and design looks almost the same as Kiki (guess they belong to the same group) but it’s a level of luxury above. Services are generally ok.

Contrary to my rating, this is an excellent hotel that falls short due to a couple of issues. To start with the positives - 1. The service was excellent. All staff was respectful and did their best to assist. 2. We had reserved a room for two nights that came with an in-suite onsen, and ocean views. The room had a large amount of space, and clean. Having the private onsen was very nice as I am heavily tattooed, and guests with tattoos are not allowed in the public onsen. 3. They had a lounge in the lobby. During the morning and afternoon, they served a variety of drinks, and small desserts. At evening time, there is alcohol (free of charge) and food (mozzarella balls and salami). This is nice to have when waking up or coming back from activities. The negatives - 1. We ordered the dinner package as we were curiois. It was $120 per person, and we were disappointed. It is buffet style, however, the dishes are cooked to order, there’s about 8 stations. There are smaller dishes for self pick up, but are limited. 1. Donburi - Salmon and roe, this was good. 2. Pasta with Venison, and Sauce. I enjoyed this. 3. Sushi. This was ok. 4. Sashimi (This did not look appetizing to me and I did not order it) 5. Tempura (Undercooked Potato, but was ok) 6. Steamed Monkfish (My wife enjoyed this) 7. Grilled Fish (Bland) 8. Steak and Beef (I had two rounds of this, first round was good, second round was severely undercooked. We came right away when it opened. I thought everything was decent. However, we went around for round 2, and this is when there were a lot of guests. Our second round of dishes tasted sour/acidic. We are not sure if it is because items were cooked to order, and there were many guests resulting in it being rushed. We left unsatisfied. We had wished we went local. 2. Our unit was DIRECTLY above the smoking lounge. When I was in the onsen, and wanted to open the window, smoke smell immediately flooded into the shower room. This was so disappointing as I was not able to enjoy the in-suite onsen with the cold air. Quite frequently, smoke smell would flow into the room by the ventilation system. I am not sure how else to say that this was infuriating. 3. Our unit was supposed to be ocean view. We had a partial view of the water/dock, and mostly the highway. I understand this would fall under the definition of “ocean view”, but this is understandably disappointing. I would definitely have given this five stars if I did not purchase dinner, and if I was provided a different unit. The fact that dinner was expensive and not satisfying combined with a cigarette smell in the rooms left me unhappy to say at the least. If I were to come back to this area, I would come back to this hotel and request a room that is not DIRECTLY above the smoking lounge.
