I've visited many temples all over Japan, but this one holds a special place in my heart, and this was my second time visiting to pay my respects.
While my first visit was wonderful, this time I was able to learn about its history more deeply. I came to understand the importance of "ryōmairi"-the practice of visiting both Kitamuki Kannon for blessings in this life and Zenko-ji Temple for peace in the next. This new understanding made the visit so much more profound. I'm now looking forward to visiting Zenko-ji to complete the pilgrimage.
The air on the temple grounds was so refreshing in the summer, and the lush greenery created an atmosphere truly befitting its nickname, the "Kamakura of Shinshu." We were also permitted to enter the main hall, and I was genuinely moved by its solemn beauty.
This is a truly wonderful temple, one that makes me feel from the bottom of my heart that I must visit again whenever I am in Bessho Onsen.
