😊: We really enjoyed our stay here, the owner was so lovely and helpful. The beds were comfortable enough, AC worked well, and room and toilets/showers were clean. The toilet/showers were on a different floor, and there was only one shower, which could be a problem if the guest house was busy. It was a nice bonus being able to explore the surrounding areas by bicycle, and the location was great - close to the castle..

Made for travellers and tourists alike. Excellent and spacious common areas, capsule like dorm beds and the owner also runs a excellent cafe opposite, 'greens baby' with good choice of food and veg options also. Speaking English the kind owner can give you suggestions to suit your travel ideals. Free bike rental an absolute bonus for Matsue. Super close to castle and supermarket. Thankyou for the space, created by a traveller for travellers!

😊: Really friendly and kind owner who puts a lot of effort into making your stay great. There's a lot of art in the guesthouse to enjoy, and it's right in the centre of all the major things in Matsue. I will stay here again when I return!.

😊: I was able to check in earlier than the standard time (of couse this may vary, so set your expectations). You can also borrow a bike from them which is very helpful for solo travellers who wanted to roam around the area! Staff is very responsive to inquiries and informative. They even have free coffee and tea! 😊. 😢: Not a big deal, but I hope there are some hangers/hooks in the capsule, just to hang the towel :).

We spent 3 nights here, the hostel is very simple and super cozy. Everything is clean and the owner is super kind ! We've really loved staying here during our short trip in Matsue :) Thank you for everything, next time we will try the baby's green restaurant which looks super good 🙏🌸

You'll really get the bang for your buck here. The host is amazing, will make you laugh (and cry tears of joy), tell you all about the surrounding neighbourhood, where to eat etc. etc. Paired with the very artsy interior of the GH, you'll feel right at home. Don't come if you don't like calm and positive atmosphere and happiness :) Free coffee and tea btw (+cutlery and stuff)

Fantastic little place right by the best parts of Matsue. The owner (Kenji-san) is really fun. He doesn't speak a lot of English for those who don't speak Japanese, but he will make sure you are taken care of and know some of the best places to go. (Be sure to check out his friends restaurant Green's Baby) Very comfortable with all the things you need including bikes to zoom around town on. The owner and his friends are basically the art district of Matsue, and it shows in the best way. The atmosphere and decorations are fantastic. If you are into coffee you can pay a little and have some great coffee made by Kenji-san. Places like this are why I can't be bothered to go to hotels.
