📍Craving bold flavours in a cozy spot?⬇️ Kitsch brings the wow with every plate 🍽️ From crispy beef to vegan cauliflower, every dish blends Asian-inspired flavours with a modern twist. We tried it all—drunken noodles, pork belly, duck curry, fried tofu, papaya salad, and dreamy desserts 😍 Everything was packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. ✨ The cocktails were creative (though a little light on alcohol for some tastes), and the service was super friendly and fast. The space is a bit tight, but the vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Perfect for a fun night out with friends or a chill dinner date 🌙 What’s your must-try dish at Kitsch? #KitschPerth #AsianFusion #PerthEats #CocktailLovers #VegetarianFriendly #FoodieFinds #PerthFoodScene #FLAVOURBOMB

We ordered pop corn chicken and it comes with a very little portion , it’s cost 26 dollars, I can’t see anyone will be happy with that. It comes with no taste at all even with sauce. The atmosphere is poor here, you sit next to the main road with ongoing traffic . It’s one of the worst restaurants that I visited.

Great little venue with lovely staff, great drinks & delicious food. I recommend the Teriyaki Squid and the Drunk Noodles. Been here a couple of times, but tonight we came for my partners birthday & the staff were so accommodating helping with his surprise cake. Thankyou again 😊

The food is exceptional, blending traditional flavors with a contemporary twist. Each dish is beautifully presented, making every bite a visual and culinary delight. The service is top-notch—attentive and friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. A perfect spot for those seeking an elevated yet relaxed dining experience!"

Great service from the staff, many Asian inspired share plates to choose from. Loved the cocktails with a twist. Had the crispy beef, red curry duck, fried rice, lotus chip, papaya salad, and both dessert options, all were amazing.

Beautifully decorated little restaurant. Our waitress was lovely and really nice. Food was beautifully presented but the flavour didn't match the presentation. This restaurant came highly recommended but I wasn't wow'ed as I had hoped. The crispy caramelized beef was just that, crispy beef and quite bland and for $42 I expected a bigger portion at least. The drunken noodles were horrible, it looked like Pad Thai and was very bland, a few mushrooms and flat noodles, didn't resemble or taste like traditional 'drunken noodles', very disappointed and was $29 for some noodles and some mushrooms.. The feed me menu was confusing and everyone at the table needed to do it, you also couldn't choose your options. The owner was there so "needed to stick to the rules" as per our waitress. Fish taco, Pad Thai and beef rangdang were the best dishes. The restaurant was on the smaller side and tables very close together, it was also really hot as there was no breeze or fans on. I tried the restaurant, unsure if I'll return due to a few bland dishes and high price points, but thanks 👍

Went for Lucy's Bottomless Brunch. Outstanding! The quality and flavour of the food was second-to-none. Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks, including cocktails. And it would be remiss of me not to mention the excellent service we received from Callum. Thank you. We'll be back. 😃

Google
I visited Kitsch last night and took advantage of the email offer for July, I have always loved eating there however on this occasion the fryer was not working and the food was well below par. Everything on the Feed Me Menu was grilled and did not have the flavours or taste and was partly burnt. The crispy pork belly was wet and lacked taste. I left feeling disappointed not knowing if I would want to return. Sorry Kitsch I felt $175 for below average food was not really good enough.

Yelp
Really good experience here tonight! Started with lotus chips (gf) which were served with wasabi aioli. What a great pairing! The lotus chips were fresh and crispy without breaking your teeth. Delicious. Next onto creamy coconut lemongrass mussels (gf). These were tangy, beautifully cooked muscles with a lovely blend of strong flavours. Same course was corn fritters with green chilli jam (gf). Crunchy and sweet. I loved these, but maybe a bit dense/gooey in the middle for others. BBQ Szechuan Chicken with corn salsa (gfo) was a bit of a highlight. I'm very excited when I'm served true Szechuan pepper!! That lovely numbing mouth feel. Paired with crispy moist chicken. Drunken noodles with shiitake (gf) were homely and delicious. Perfect pairing for the chicken. Simple but not boring, lovely fresh herbs. The disappointing part was my friend and I both ordered their gin & tonic cocktail things. Different ones each. They are fresh with good flavour, but it's just too much tonic and not enough gin.

Yelp
Be aware that Kisch is not allergy friendly and common allergy foods, such as peanuts are not listed on the menu. Positives first - We had a lovely dinner. The chicken was really sticky and tasty, but not hot as indicated with the red text on the menu. (This was explained to us by the waitress) The soft shell crab was tasty but a little fishy tasting. The pork was the stand out for me. The meat was tender and the crackling, crispy. Loved it. However, the dessert was disappointing and the lack of service was appalling in my opinion. I ordered the green tea mousse with yuzu. When it arrived I was quite sure there was peanuts on the top. I asked the waitress, she told me it was white chocolate. I asked for her to check because it was brown and looked peanut like. Low and behold, she came back to tell me they were peanuts. I explained to the waitress that I was allergic to peanuts and this had not been disclosed in the menu. (I had already explained this to another waitress.) She took the dish back and brought me another. I tried to further explain that not listing peanuts on the menu was very dangerous and potentially deadly. She didn't seem worried at all and just said sorry and then walked off. This attitude is not only dangerous but absolutely disgusting. The dessert was sickly sweet and the green tea pocky was soggy on the end. I won't be back.

Yelp
It's a hidden little cafe. My friend and I went on a Saturday night and it was pouring down with rain, i liked the fact that there was parking right next to the place so didn't get too wet. My first impression going in was that it looked cosy, intimate and warm which is exactly what we wanted. We didn't have a booking but the guy was really nice and tried hard to find us a spot, we only waited a few minutes. As he explains the menu, he pointed out that we should get a few plates to share as their portions were not that big. So of course we grabbed 2 hawkers bites and 2 street plates to share and hoped it would be enough. The hawkers bites came out and we knew straight away we ordered too much food for the two of us. We felt misleading about the portions and could of easily just had the one each of the street plates because its not cheap either. The food overall tastes great and I would happily go there again especially for the whole fish curry. That was divine. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we didnt wait too long for the food to come out. It's a great little place to catch up because its not overly noisy either. Enjoy.

Yelp
Came here as part of the leederville food safari on Friday and were treated with some delicious Asian food with great service We had the pork belly and the slow cooked beef cheek with the ginger greens. The pork had a really tasty caramel sauce, with a fresh crispy apple salad, the crackling was a bit overcooked so quite hard to bite but overall a yummy dish The beef was beautifully cooked with a spicy sauce full of punch and the greens complimented it well. I love the decor and vibe in this place, it also has a great interesting Asian style cocktail list which is worth a look, a great spot for a night out or intimate date night.

Yelp
Went here for work dinner last night. Great fusion restaurant. Highlight for me would be their Korean wings and Szechuan chicken. The thai noddles were thick/ soggy and bland. Very very average which is a shame when it was plated well. We also had paratha which looked like they were the ones you buy frozen from your oriental store. Not cool. Food portions were decent however they did take awhile and were not all out at once which was annoying considering there were 20 of us. Staff were attentive and warmth which was nice. Always in close proximity and was ready to serve us even when the floor got really busy. Overall, food could have been better with more spices and flavour added. Could not comment on the price for this as we had a set menu and work paid for it

Yelp
I know I am a late comer to this venue - I sincerely apologise I promise to get out out more!!! To make matters worse this review was started back in March!!! Our experiences over the end of summer here at Kitsch were great; coming for a Sunday lunch and staying till dinner; snacking and drinking casually over the day is a WA tradition and this venue makes it easy. Asian fusion share food with a good amount of spice and heat to make you look forward to that Asian influenced cocktail or wine / beer and an interesting yet not too over the top decor that allows you to unwind for that week ahead

Yelp
This was not the first time I had been to Kitsch but it was most probably my favourite. I was lucky enough to try a range of their best dishes and I was not disappointed. Every bite of every dish was a beautifully paired flavour sensation. I am a big fan of Asian Fusion food and I will definitely be coming back here to try the rest of the menu. We started with some sourdough prawn toast, moved onto some spiced corn fritters (with the most amazing green chilli jam syrup), Szechuan chicken to die for, black vinegar braised lamb and crispy pork belly BUT the stand out dish for me was most definitely the Korean fried sweet and salty chicken wings! It's a must try! I would highly recommend the "Lucy eats it all" option and trying an array of these beautiful dishes. Or why not book you and another lover of good food onto the Leederville Food Safari where you can indulge in three delicious restaurants whilst getting a tour of Leederville on a Rickshaw style tuk tuk. I can't wait to come back. #kitschyelps

Yelp
Who knew corn fritters were considered Thai food? Kitsch has their own way of doing street food. Whether they are or aren't Thai, I was so happy they were on the menu, because they were honestly the best corn fritters (or any fritters in fact) that I have ever tried! Sorry Mum, your zucchini fritters don't come close! Crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside, they really were absolutely scrumptious. Served with tasty, thick chilli jam, the table was in heaven. I will confess to you all that more than one diner actually ate the jam with a spoon on its own, it was that good. I'm not a huge coriander fan but syrup was a good balance with the other elements. Two thumbs up! The BBQ Szechuan Chicken was another stand out dish. So smoky, so tender. When I hear szechuan I immediately think "too spicy", but the flavours of this dish were so perfectly balanced that even I could eat it! Coriander and fresh corn salsa worked so well with the blackened chook. The dish had so much colour too, pity it was getting dark by the time we started eating, my photography went a little down hill from here guys, sorry! If you're not a huge fan of Asian food (crazy people), this would be the perfect dish to order. It almost tastes South American! Kitsch's take on the classic prawn toast was nothing like the run of the mill, limp ass toast you'd find at your local Chinese restaurant. Crispy, packed with flavour and extremely moorish, this is a must order if you do check out Kitsch. The mayo enhanced the sweet and juicy prawn and I probably could have licked the plate (if I wasn't sharing OR out to dinner). A few of the girls we were dining with at the event had only recently visited the restaurant, and raved about the prawn toast for a good ten minutes before we had the chance to try it. The raving was warranted! Delish.

Yelp
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to mourn the passing of the amazing Kitsch... I have no idea what happened! Is it new management? The sign said they were under construction but something has come along and eaten the soul of this place. The funky seating is gone and has been replaced by sterile leather couches and dark wooden tables. The place got classy but lost its amazing character in the transition. The food is good but just doesn't seem like innovative fusions anymore. I loved this place so much I wanted to have its babies but now it just feels lacking. They didn't even have chopsticks! Props to our server who went and found some disposable takeaway ones out the back. I'm sorry *sob* it's just so hard to talk about it. I have to go now...

Yelp
The restaurant has a cool vibe to it with a bar area and a restaurant area. You have dinner to cool playing music, under dim lights and a view of the action in the kitchen. The food is tapas style where everything is to share. However the mains are big enough for one person and range from 14 to 30 dollars. I went here on a Friday night. We had the szechuan chicken, the braised lamb neck with eggplant sambal, grilled eggplant, the coconut rice, and the green beans. I had the eggplant sambal with lamb and it was simply delicious. The lamb was tender and soft and so flavorsome. The eggplant sambal was sweet. The beans in ginger sauce were so gingery. Yum. Definitely going back.

Yelp
A good local bar with an Asian theme, and a limited (one page) menu of small plates of food. Strangely, every dish we ordered was covered in the same fresh chilli and sticky sauce. The prices were quite high ($13 for a pint of Asahi beer and around the same for a small plate), but the service was attentive. As with the name, all the decor is very kitsch, but the novelty wears off quickly. The customers were mostly couples and groups of women. It's not bad to try out if you're in the area, but I wouldn't come here for an entire night out, or dinner.

Yelp
I'm so glad I finally get to try the food in Kitsch. It's fresh, delicious and delightful. I'm pleased that they stay true to authentic Asian flavours. I particularly loved the appetizer squid and the Thai green curry. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
A friend and I went at 6 pm on a Thursday and they reluctantly found a table for us. The space is super hipster with trees wooden tables and metal chairs and strings of lights adding to the ambiance. We had the chili squid salad - which was very good - all the flavors were fresh and the chili complimented the dish well. The corn fritters were recommended to us by the server, but I found them tasteless, but tje texture was nice. They could have used a but more flavor. Also the pork buns were a novelty the way the bun is served is wrapped like a soft taco. Light and delicious - would definitely recommend!

Yelp
You might not believe this but I hadn't been to Kitsch until last week *gasp*. I know right. I think I was living overseas when it opened, a few years back so it wasn't on my radar. Aaanyway... Headed there last weekend with the BF for a date night. I booked a table for 2, a week in advance, and ended up on a bench and stool, which was a bit disappointing. It seems there's not much standard table seating, rather lots of bench, or low level couches and stools matched with coffee table style tables instead. The venue is definitely more of a bar with excellent food, than a restaurant. All the food was fantastic, super fresh and flavourful, and plated up so each dish was super colourful and appealing. Their salted caramel parfait is one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had the pleasure of eating, you must, I repeat, you must try it.

Yelp
I first went to kitsch a couple of years ago and really loved it so I have no idea how I forgot about it!! Until last week when my friend had her birthday dinner there on a Wednesday. They have a $15 wok special that night where I got a prawn stir fry (pretty much pad Thai) and a spicy ginger cocktail for $16.50! So so cheap and so delicious! The serving sizes were big as well so I was full when I left and very satisfied. A few of my other friends got other dishes like the crispy chicken and dumplings which all looked good. Will definitely be coming back here!

Yelp
This place is really cool. An unmatched ambience and tempting food and drink, there's just so much to get happy about. There's a lively, colorful and distinctly Asian vibe that makes you forget you're in Perth. I'd liken it most to a Hawker's centre in Asia except with a whole lot more style. A beautiful Frangipani tree welcomes you at the entrance, which is framed by an eye-catching red iron door. There's a mural of a Japanese lady holding a jug of beer and a collection of mismatched furniture in mostly jade and Chinese red. Kistch is perfect for catching up with friends over a bottle of wine, cocktails and some of their tasty Asian street style food. A mix of sweet, sour and salty, there's a dish for every palate. Ultra delicious are the corn fritters; sweet and doughy inside and lightly crisped on the outside. The coriander and chilli sauce that comes with them are as good as the fritters themselves. Every Tuesday night Kitsch do a Pad Thai and Chang Beer for under $20 and on some Mondays they offer cooking classes. The service is very on the ball, it's refreshing, and you feel well looked after.

Yelp
"Loves it" as a teenager from 2007 would say. A small intimate place with loads of character. The cocktails are inventive and the food is even better (I do love me some modern Asian). Last time I went, I went with a small group of friends and we had a great time ordering a plethora of delicious share dishes. All of the food we ordered was delicious, including the fried tofu (go figure). One other thing that really draws me to the place are some of the staff. We had a waitress with a French accent (I wanna say she was from the Seashells.. But I dunno). She was attentive, fun & really engaged in banter with the table. Everyone knows that good staff always make a nice place even better. I would recommend this place to anyone really. Give it a go and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
OH.MY.WORD - What an amazing menu! I was lucky enough to try many items from the menu and they were all delish! My fav plates that you have to try are the Korean fried sweet and salty chicken wings (slightly spicy) so so delicious, like fight for the last piece delicious! Also the peanut butter ice cream sandwich with chocolate cookie and salty caramel - yummm! Every single bite was was amazing, this is one place that I will definitely be going back to a few more times.

Yelp
Oh Kitsch - one of my favourite spots for some good quality food! I have been to Kitsch a few times and have loved each visit. It's one of those places that you can guarantee that you will always get amazing food. Most recently, i went to Kitsch for a work function where we had the share menu, and I can tell you that I rolled out of there! Not wanting to miss out on any of the amazing food, I had to try a bit of everything! Simply amazing Asian Fusion, with a great selection of cocktails. Also happens to be situated in Leedy which is great if you intend to head out afterwards as well. Recommend the pork belly & soft shell crab. Desserts are also amazing!

Yelp
Having frequented primary and high school in Leederville for 12 years, I enjoyed watching Oxford Street evolve from a plain looking length of tarmac dotted with the odd auto mechanic and deli to the vibrant café and boutique peppered strip that it is today. I think it was the original Bar Bianchi that was the cosmopolitan turning point circa 1991, and appropriately situated on the corner of Oxford and Carr Place. Now there are so many quality cafés on Oxford, locals and visitors alike are spoilt for choice. Missing up until now was a decent Asian fusion restaurant. Welcome Kitsch: an Asian fusion restaurant and bar that has the buzz of hawker markets just south of the equator. I thought I'd organise a reunion with some college friends one night and one decided on meeting up here (good choice, Jane). Reading up about it before heading off, its slick and very pretty website defied its name, and the tantalising dishes on offer, like Sichuan Duck with Green Apple, Ginger Apple and Candied Chilli, or Vietnamese Pork with Yellow Beans, Mandarin, Caramel and Mint looked like they'd be pricey but in fact weren't ($21.80 for the former; only $15.90 for the latter). We sat outdoors around a casually laid out little table, and although it seemed somewhat crammed, the exceptional flavour and quality of the food made up for the awkward seating. Design-wise, this place checks all the boxes. The walls emblazoned with murals of Asian beauties sipping boutique beers, and even the toilets are crammed with all manner of kitsch paraphernalia, in keeping with the restaurant's name. When the bill came, all four of us were surprised, parting with just $45 each, and that's with a couple of alcoholic drinks per head, so for non-drinkers you'll enjoy a wonderful meal of various dishes for under $35. This is definitely a place I'll be coming back to again and again if only to sample each and every one of their delightfully looking dishes.

Yelp
Love the vibe at this bar, beautiful feature wall art and tasteful asian touches everywhere. I was lucky to have the opportunity to try a few things from the menu. My favourite starter was the Korean Fried Chicken Wings, which was sticky, sweet and salty. The mains were also delicious, and I liked that they were served with coconut rice instead of plain steamed rice. Finally, the Peanut Butter Ice Cream Sandwiches are so good, I think I have to go back just to get some more of that.

Yelp
Awesome place for weekend drinks n Asian street food inspired dishes. Big fan of the kitsch spicy ginger beer! They kinda cram you in and you may end up sitting somewhere uncomfortable or squishy, but it's kinda the appeal of the place! The food, if it says it's spicy, they don't muck around. It actually IS hot. They also have a cool chilli side plate with spicy condiments you can add to your food as well as a cooling plate if you've over done it! Asian style tapas, with friendly service and great cocktails makes me a happy gal, and would gladly go back anytime!

Yelp
Wow! What a great venue - and amazing food. Kitsch has a really cool vibe and I can't believe I have not discovered this place before, I had the pleasure of being able to taste a selection of the dishes from the menu, and they were all fantastic. My favourite menu items were the spiced corn fritters (delish!) and the crispy skin pork belly bites with chilli caramel (these were cooked PERFECTLY!) - I was tempted to order more. The peanut butter ice cream sandwich was easily my favourite dessert - I could not stop eating it! This will definitely be one of my go-to places for dinner/drinks. Highly recommended!

Yelp
A short but sweet evening. Just had a quick catch up with an old friend. The customer service was quick and friendly. Loved the French accent from the lady serving us :) The food was so yummy and fresh. Full of flavour and a little kick of spice. The corn fritters were absolute joy! Definitely need to return for a longer evening filled with many cocktails and more tapas!

Yelp
I'm going to preface this review that I royally hate tapas. If you find your-self-loving-tapas-heart bewildered at my hatred for tapas, skip this review. Paying $14 for a midgy bite of anything is against my core values. And, tapas (in non-Spanish environments) seem to capitalize on small quantities and high costs... which, the costs are even "higher" in Perth. Everyone keeps talking about how cute and quirky this place is, the atmosphere and unmatched ambiance. I get what Kitsch is trying to achieve and they did "try". But, even in my twenties, I can go ahead and point out the seating arrangements are awkward and uncomfortable. I wouldn't even dare bring an elder here. I truly felt like Goldilocks and the three chairs trying to figure out which one was "just right". However, I never had an a-ha moment. I was just stuck on a backless bench with my legs dangling for good measure. In another setting, we were sitting much higher than our dinner patrons, much like we were looking down on them. What happened to overstuffed chairs and couches with legitimate (useable) tables? Balancing a semblance of posture, a wine glass, a plate, while eating a chicken wing with my hands... is well, hellish-ambiance to me. We tried almost everything on the menu and the only thing that stood out in my mind were the corn fritters and that is probably because fritters are my thing. Other than that, there wasn't anything memorable on the menu aside from me noticing that lamb isn't offered. Nothing was "bad", but nothing was worth writing about either. There is far better food, portions and seating arrangements elsewhere to drop bank on a "vibe". A premium doesn't need to be paid for good conversation as it can happen anywhere.

Yelp
We went for the Wednesday wok deal night it's $16.50 for a stir fry and ginger beer cocktail. It was really good value and the starters we had pork dumplings and chicken satay sticks were amazing as well. The setting is really nice and even though seating is mainly outdoors it was kept nice and warm. I would recommend you book before going if in a group and payment can only be in cash or on two credits- just for a heads up.

Yelp
I cannot believe that it took me so long to get to Kitsch! And I cannot wait to head back there very soon. Friday night catch up with a group of girlfriends so we decided to order from the tapas part of the menu so we could try a whole lot of dishes. We ordered the salt and pepper tofu, pork dumplings, pork san choy bow, eggplant katsu, corn fritters and chicken wings. Stand-outs from these dishes was the salt and pepper tofu and eggplant katsu, and I am not even the vegetarian one in the group - both these dishes were amazing! Everything tasted delicious and there was plenty of food for 5 of us having ordered 8 dishes. I had done a bit of research on this place prior to going and had already made the decision to try the Kitsch Ginger Beer (spicy) and the watermelon granita with coconut sorbet and vanilla liquor! Let's just say it will be worth the trip back just to have these two dishes again! Staff were extremely helpful throughout the night, and were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. The set up is a little on the random side, but I quite liked the quirky-ness of it. I loved the courtyard area that is set up under a huge frangipani tree which has had lights strung around it, seriously makes you feel like you could be on holidays somewhere exotic and great for the warmer nights. Price-wise the food was well priced with our tapas coming to around $20 a head. I found the drinks to be fairly reasonably priced at around $12-13 for a cocktail, they have a great drinks list with a good selection of beer and wine. The only small fault I could pick is that there was a mess up with our booking and it had not been noted on their sheet, when we arrived they advised that they would not be able to seat 7 of us, so lucky the numbers had decreased to 5 on the night! In order to rectify this when we placed our desert order the manager came out and told us they would be complimentary due to the mix up! Seriously a great gesture you would not get this many places in Perth! Awesome venue for dinner and drinks and a great place for a group catch up.

Yelp
I wanted to really love Kitsch. It's been on my list of places to visit for as long as my list of places to visit has existed. And I liked it. A lot. And I'd recommend it to people, especially groups. But it fell a little short of the love I was hoping for. The bar itself is a cute and quirky set up. There is a large outside area all spread out around a gigantic frangipani tree. There's fairy lights and rustic wooden tables and chairs. Being a cooler night, the café blinds and heaters would've been needed. Inside is also comfy yet cool all at once. Bench seats rule inside the long thin room, and our spot was perfectly suited for our group of 5. Cocktails are reasonably priced and tasty - but all bordering on the sweet side, mostly fruit based concoctions. The wine list is quite reasonable, with a few different WA wineries represented rather than the usual suspects. The food was I think where my 'just friends' feelings were settled. Everything was good, it just wasn't as good as I was hoping. Food porn on Instagram might have set my expectations too high? Most dishes felt a little trendy, rather than well-executed. The prawn crackers fresh with a touch of chili salt. The prawn toast crunchy but lacking much by way of a prawn flavour. The beef satay was a novel take, the beef being a tataki style, sitting on top of the peanutty sauce. The sauce was spot on for a satay, but the flavours a little too intense to appreciate the raw beef. The soft shell crab tacos were more batter than crab, but still had a pleasing crunch with the slightly spicy mayo sauce making it more than just batter inside the housemade corn tortillas. The standout dish was the black vinegar braised lamb neck with edamame and beans. The vinegar braise reduced to a sweet and complex sauce, the fatty neck falling apart in it's tenderness. It's worth going here just for this dish. Dessert-wise, there was a peanut butter parfait that felt like the poor cousin of the one El Publico serves. Like the El Publico version, it looked like the on-trend deconstructed dessert that you get everywhere, with piles of sweet ice cream, crumbled biscuit and peanut butter caramel sauce. This one really lacked the textural pops and depth of flavour, favouring 'sweet'. Maybe if I hadn't eaten the El Publico version so many times I would've liked this more. The other dessert was much more impressive. A grassy green tea mousse served on top of a yuzu curd. Chewy and crunchy bits of roasted white chocolate on top, and matcha flavoured poco sticks to dig in with. This is a different take on your usual share-meal type restaurant in it's Asian fusion-ness, and I would definitely leave it on my list of spots to hit with a small group for atmosphere, drinks and value for money.

Yelp
My first visit to Kitsch was for a friends birthday and we really enjoyed the $15 Wok special we ordered and the spicy cocktail which came with this was soo yumm, nothing like what i have had before. i did hear the other girls complain about the chicken ginger stir fry being a little bit bland and dry but mine seemed fine and the flavour was really tasty. some people do enjoy alot of sauce, im a no mayo girl so have lived sauceless my whole life, so the dryness wasnt even noticeable for me. i also ordered the corn fritters for the table as recommended by my friend, i did like them, i thought they could have had alot more corn and less starchy breadiness about the consistency, but the flavour was quite good. 6/10 the service staff were very friendly and served us promptly which was great yet didnt seem to return at all and we needed to get up several times to ask for water and then again twice more for glasses of wine, slightly annoying, and they were packed so i was surprised they didn't have more staff on for that reason. will certainly be going back as i thought the $15 was great value for money so many placed dont even sell a main let alone with a drink for this price. downfall was when they dropped 3 of the girls (including mine) our dinner they said "3 small wok specials" and the portion was just smaller than the other girls which was a bit funny, possibly a table mix up, or inconsistency i wasnt sure. The dark dankness is awesome it made it more oriental and the red walls and decor were nice compared to some lit up generic asian restaurants. book before going in as hey seemed busy.

Yelp
Tapas style food, the fish cakes were really good but I don't think I would order the vietnamese rolls again, they were quite $$ for what they were. The atmosphere was very relaxing for after work drinks and tapas.

Yelp
Kitsch has never failed to disappoint me. I visited on a weeknight last week and it was busier than expected, but we were able to be seated without a booking. Service was prompt, although we were only there for dessert, but I have always experienced good service there when I've had a meal as well. I love the punch/cocktails served in little teapots, but I have to say the peanut butter parfait is the clincher for me. I've ordered it every time I've been there and it's always been spot on and satisfied my sweet tooth - occasionally over satisfied, as it can be quite rich, but I never leave the jar empty and always end up scraping up every last remnant.

Yelp
Great food, atmosphere, and service! I lived walking distance to Kitsch for 7 months and never made it over. I am very disappointed that I didn't make it over there until now! My boyfriend and I went there early on a Friday night for tapas and cocktails and we were not disappointed. Cocktails- Spicy Ginger Beer- AMAZING... I love spicy anything :) Hanion Forest- It was good but a bit too sweet Tapas- Wonton Nachos- AMAZING! I will definitely order them EVERY time I go there Salt and Pepper Tofu- Surprising good (I'm not a big tofu fan) Corn Fritter- Great with the sauces and great crispy outside but a little too soggy in the middle Seating is a bit uncomfortable and awkward but the atmosphere is worth it. By the time we left around 630-7 it was busy so make sure you make a booking :)

Yelp
Ok. Cafes, Restaurants and Bars in Perth please take note of Kitsch Bar. It is how to be hip and quirky, without appearing to be trying way too hard. I am not sure how, but the big murals on the wall work here.. I have seen it not in other places. The outdoor/indoor areas suit Perth and Leederville. The atmosphere is relaxed with a great vibe about the place. The staff are friendly and can help with those unfamiliar with their menu or tapas in general. We had the duck - crispy and full of flavour, cooked just right. The corn fritters are the best I ever had. The pork had the perfect crackling. Just wist the tables were bigger, because next time I am going to order more and we barely had room this last time.

Yelp
What a delightful oasis of a restaurant. Literally felt like I had entered another country, I love it. We came for the Tuesday night special, pad Thai with a Chang beer for $15 we also indulged in some entree items. The Thai fish cakes were insanely delicious they had the smooth texture of red curry, spice and coconut yum! The fried tofu was delicious too, firm inside and crunchy exterior. The pad Thai was fresh and meaty with plenty of tofu as well. I will definitely head back here! The staff were cool and one even made a "that's what she said joke" and that's what hospitality is about!

Yelp
I love tapas. I mean, I'm a huge fan. It gives me a chance to explore new food in new and exciting ways. This, in my opinion, was not the tapas I'm used to. I came here with a friend for a catch up. We came for dinner and a couple of drinks. I got there a little early on a Tuesday evening at 7 and was surprised at how busy it was. I was shown to a small table in the garden and waited for my friend to arrive. When he arrived we ordered drinks and a few things off the menu to eat. Of the five things we ordered, 3 arrived. Now, the fourth thing we ordered was the special of the evening, pad Thai with pork belly. We ate the first three things and waited for about 30 minutes before asking where the rest of our order was. We were told it was quite popular and there was a bit of a wait. "No worries," we said. 15 minutes later we're informed that the order for our pad Thai was never made and it will be another few minutes, When our food arrived we also realised we ordered some chicken wings at the start of our order. My friend always orders chicken wings and being told, "no you didn't order chicken wings" is not only wrong, but insulting. The food, was not even noteworthy. The pad Thai? About in par with the lower ends of Asian foods I've tried. The fritters? Nothing to write home about. Thai green curry? Meh. The squid? Again, meh. The ambience? Try-hard hipster while maximising seating space. Tiny chairs and tables? Not fooling me, buddy. Really need to update the service (technology) and the taste of the food. I won't be back.

Yelp
I'd probably give this place 3.5 if that was an option. In saying that, the service has always been great and the menu options look awesome. Sometimes the Tuesday night pad thai special is a little hit and miss. We called last minute and got seated straight away. We ordered the beans and prawn crackers to start - the beans are spicy. The prawn crackers a little stale, but delicious. Our curries were delicious- the slow braised beef curry with coconut and tomato tastes similar to a massaman curry- tops! The butter chicken was ok- not traditional tasting. But nice. And the roti is always a winner. Great decor and vibe, music was good too!

Yelp
Perfect wintry weather for Asian fusion comfort food. We were starving and the food came out quickly though not in the order of entree and then mains. However, our attentive waitress did inform us that it would come out like this ....as each dish got ready. We ordered the squid and soft shell crab somtam salad rice roti the drunken noodles beef cheeks and the lamb roll. All the food was fresh. The soft shell crab, squid and noodles were average ...but the beef cheek and lamb were delicious. The roti was a big disappointment....frozen puff paratha from the oriental store. A bit expensive for the quantity. I must commend the wait staff and cashier though. Very attentive and friendly. We were seated near the kitchen so a bit loud but that did not bother us. A nice casual friendly atmosphere. Will go back on a Tuesday to try the pad Thai as it does not feature on the regular menu.

Yelp
Kitsch Bar is a quietly hidden delight on Oxford Street. Located away from the bustle of the café strip, Kitsch is an explosion of quirky decorations and Asian fusion in the middle of otherwise sedate businesses. The owners at Kitsch have gone all-out on creating a quirky atmosphere. From the tree growing in the middle of the bar and the giant mural on the wall, to the concrete slabs utilised as tables and the various odd assortment of items decorating the bar, Kitsch seems determined to appear unique. While the effect is generally delightful, it also comes across as a touch over-done. Basically, it looks like the owners bought the entire contents of a pawn shop and dumped all the items into the bar. There are two sections to Kitsch - the outer courtyard, and the inside which is tastefully decorated by candles at night. The food is excellently-made - their corn fritters are a great balance of batter and sweetness, and their pork is tender. Their presentation is equally as quirky as their decor, and their staff are very friendly and helpful. The only minor quibble is that their serving sizes are quite small for their price, but it is quality food at a lovely-looking bar.

Yelp
With a unique inside/outside lounge room feel, Kitsch Bar delivers a well balanced list of tapas-sized food options, perfect for both the indecisive and hungry patron. If in doubt, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable enough to suggest a starting option - the corn fritters are a personal favourite of mine. Introducing their 'Home Economics' classes in 2011, Kitsch also offers a great selection of after hours tasting/cooking classes throughout the year - everything from beer and steak to Asian street fare. All round, Kitsch is the perfect option for either a quick drink and a bite to eat or a long leisurely evening of tasty delights and relaxed ambiance.

Yelp
One of my favourite spots in Perth. There's nothing to dislike, except maybe my eyes are bigger than my stomach.

Yelp
Great, relaxing place to catch up with friends and have a few drinks. I'm not overly wowed by the food, although their chilli salted prawn crackers are pretty tasty, but it is the atmosphere and staff that makes this place. A beautiful selection of wines and cocktails also helps (not much of a beer drinker, sorry) and even though not on the menu, the bar staff have always been accommodating to my request for Espresso Martinis :)

Yelp
Loved this place. Food was amazing. Great veggie options. We tried them all. Lovely wine list and great dessert menu. Staff were friendly but our waiter was a little too prepared to take our dishes away before we were finished, even though he was not trying to get us to leave.

Yelp
It looks very cool, and I like that their tap beer is Kirin. When it comes to the food, however, I find myself lost for words... and not in a good way. I feel extremely embarrassed writing this in the face of so many rave reviews, but the food we had was tasteless, tough and overcooked. A waste of stomach space. Was the usual chef on holiday or something? We had the corn fritters, yellow curry fish and pork dumplings. I fervently wish I had just had a beer.

Yelp
First time visitor. Will be back for sure! So many gluten free and vegan options. I left very full and satisfied. Nice to find a tapas place around that is Asian Inspired. Vegan pad Thai was awesome as were the corn fritters. My partner had the wings and raved about them.

Yelp
I've been a big fan of this place for some time. If someone asked me where to go out at night in Leederville, Kitsch is almost always my first suggestion. The Asian-inspired indoor-outdoor dining set-up (which is quite aptly likened to a night market), coupled with the various interesting trinkets and furnishings it houses make it immediately pleasing on the eye. You feel cool being here. Then there's the tapas-style food (or you could go solo and order mains) which incorporates various flavours and culinary inspirations from Thailand to China. I just got back from drinks and eats with a couple of friends, and overall it was a solid dining experience. But some of the main dishes were a little disappointing - the pork for example was let down by a dry and overworked salad. And the fish was too tough to handle. The smaller dishes, however, were an absolute delight - fat pieces of lightly fried and beautifully flavoured salt and pepper tofu, delicate, yet oozy and well-packed pork dumplings, and some crispy corn fritters. All the taste sensations are covered here: sweet, sour, salty, fatty, it's delightful. We also ordered cocktails - one with a frangipani, another with chilli and a third with cucumber. Kitsch is a fun dining experience; if you order right, you'll be singing its praises for months to come.

Yelp
I turned up at Kitsch with 5 girlfriends on a Wednesday night and they had to turn us away as fully booked but had been curious since. So this time (last thursday) booked online for me and 2 friends and made our way back there. So glad I did! The service was very friendly, the waitress came across as very genuine and made us laugh. They had an extensive wine list, bit pricey but lovely wine. We were in leederville so to be expected. We had the "school prawns" and the "crispy tofu" for entree. Be aware the prawns are tiny full body prawns. Not really my fav thing but the others loved it. The sauce with the tofu was really good. For main we had the "green papaya salad" and the "whole market fish" the flavours from the two mixed perfectly together. Again, just me but I didn't like picking the bones out the fish but I think that came down to my inexperience, the boys seemed to have the knack of getting the fish without the bone. Bill came to about $120 for three people (includes a bottle of wine) but we weren't that hungry though, on a normal night would probably have fed 2 of us. Great atmosphere and mood to the place, both times it was full of people but saying that, when we ate we could hear each other very well. I think they have set up the tables in such a way that the voices dont carry. Will be back to try their value deals with the girls on a Wednesday night soon!
