What a great find for a wonderful breakfast in Kearney as we left for our final leg back to Colorado . Very nice atmosphere. Terrific and friendly service. We had a blueberry crepe and a salmon bagel. Both excellently presented and delicious. The coffee was very good . A terrific start to the day!

It's a must visit if you get the chance! Biscuit and gravy must be amazing it was sold out but the breakfast crosiants were so good! Will definitely stop again!

Kitt’s is an absolute gem! The staff was quite helpful and friendly. Now… to the food, I had the very berry crepes packed with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries topped with fresh, homemade whipped cream. DELICIOUS!!! • I honestly wanted to lick my plate clean but my husband said no lol

Great little spot for coffee and breakfast. Fun place to sit outside and do some benching aka watching trains go by. Nice seating inside and out. Cool building with old brick and rafters showing.

The food is really good here. We had a short stack of pancakes (as big as the plate they come on), berry berry crepes (full of berries and jam), steak and mushroom scramble (added jalapeños) and bacon (crisp yet good chew). The staff was friendly and easy to find a table.

I had a great experience. It is warm, cozy, and inviting. The food was delicious. The staff were genuinely friendly. Will be back! Highly recommend.

My favorite coffee shop/breakfast joint in Kearney! The coffee is outstanding, the food is delicious and made from scratch, and the atmosphere is really nice. I’ve tried many things on the menu and they’re all great - the weekend biscuits & gravy are a must-try, the malted pancakes and crepes are so good and the Denver Omelette is so fresh and stuffed with ingredients. There’s a great outside patio too when the weather is nice. You should definitely give Kitt’s a try!

This was my first visit. The atmosphere, food, and service are excellent. I would say pricing is in line with other breakfast/coffee shops.

Kitts has been the best coffee in the Kearney area since it first opened. The owners have such particularly perfected aesthetic, style, and do not grow to fast or too slow. The coffee is roasted in house and is sold there fresh. I truly do think it is the best coffee in the area because of the research, artistry, and skill they put into making the roasts and teaching the baristas. Kitt's is where everyone of any age can enjoy a delicious well made meal, sip over a beautiful latte with a sweet friend, or grab some beans to gift to all your friends! Such a wonderful growing local business to enjoy delicacies that are not typical for small towns in Nebraska, so thankful to have such a sweet place to meet with friends and family!

Stopped here on my cross country road trip after looking at the reviews. This place has an extra star for simply being in a town with my namesake: Kearney! I ordered the Madison Omelette with an everything bagel on the side and the cashier suggested a popular drink the Choconut choca for me. Atmosphere was a bit more busy than I would expect on a Wednesday morning but not over crowded. Plenty of parking and hardworking staff. I appreciate the selection of hot sauces by the food pick up station as well. Would try again! My total for my meal was $27 so a little on the pricier side but i enjoyed it!

The food is always made fresh and the ingredients are very fresh. Every time we come here we love it. And the coffee is top notch h s well! Not to mention the aesthetic

What a good recommendation by a friend who used to live in Kearney! The spot was super easy to access with ample parking. Inside was very clean, someone even picked up my water cup when I walked away for 45 seconds to grab my coffee - she was on it! We lucked out and came on Flatbread Friday and the Flatbread tasted fresh and homemade as advertised. We got the crockeys and it was loaded with cheese, peppers and steak - a simple and yummy combination. It was a tad greasy (which probably made it taste so much better). And the to go container we received appeared to have dirt around the edges like kitchen grease had collected from it sitting, not a huge deal. I recommend the iced coffee. My fiance got the Ciocco-Nocciola with mocha and hazelnut, with almond milk. It was super creamy yet strong. Would make this stop again!

Kitt's has a big city feel with Nebraska's hospitality and great food. It felt like a trendy, bustling coffee shop I would see in Southern California (where I was visiting from). All the food and coffee we tried was good, but the biscuits and gravy were my favorite (very rich, if you're not used to eating heavy!) I found an old article about the history of the building, railroad, and some of the upcycled materials used, like lights from a nearby church. I was surprised that wasn't on the website, in the restaurant, or on Yelp! For me, it just added to the experience. This is a great stop for travelers on I-80 looking for something other than fast food or a traditional diner.

Very unfriendly encounter. When an item, that I come in regularly to purchase, was requested, the response was: "You can order this online" and "You should call ahead so we can know if we have (the item) available". No problem so far...the situation devolved when my name was requested and I declined to do so. This was an immediate transaction that did not involve waiting for a meal or for coffee. The person actually handed back the cash and reshelved the item. I asked to speak to the owners and was informed they were out of town, the supervisor came out and this conversation was similarly unfriendly. A resolution was this: "Sell her the item so you can wait on the next customer." Very, very dismissive. The supervisor stated then that he was going to go call and tell the owners about the situation. Never going back. Never making a recommendation.

Only reason just 4 Stars is large coffee is actually a medium...barely. So we're in for breakfast variety enroute to Lincoln barrel race event later today. I had a crepe of vegz and Beth the pancakes, only because they were out of oatmeal. That we've had in past is really good. Pancakes were real good also. Busy morning here of lots customers. Never had any complaints about Kitt's and their foods are all just great.

The Cardamom Thai is the best beverage in Kearney. Busiest I have ever seen the cafe today, they will definitely need to expand indoor seating options! Ordered my drink to stay and it was served to go, so the photo isn't as beautiful but the drink is just as delicious, I promise you. Friendly service at the register today, which is appreciated since that is one area here that isn't consistent. I still miss the Parisian Scramble being on the menu.

Order at the counter. They put onions in their biscuits and gravy. I would have ordered without onions but I didn't know i needed to request no onions as i have never ever had biscuits and gravy served with onions. Menu should read: biscuits and gravy and onions. The food is super rich. Had a stomach ache for 2 hours after we left. Good luck.

Hip little gem of a coffee shop well worth the short trek off I-80 for the hungry and caffeine seeking traveler. Cubano flatbread was delicious and generously portioned. Service was great!

Wow! Best breakfast I've had EVER (crepes), and the coffee was excellent. So good that I ordered some online, for home.

Great atmosphere with wonderful baristas. Hi and low I search the country for unforgettable house chai lattes. This cafe offers one of the best chai in the country. Many thanks to the barista who suggested I add their "Diabilito" mix for the perfect sweet and spicy combination.

A way hip spot in the heart of downtown. Great service, a long, creative menu. I had a fantastic smoked salmon bagel.

Great coffee stop! Lots of seating with outdoor seating. Friendly young adult baristas and super clean establishment bathrooms. Thanks for a nice, catch-your-breath relaxing motorcycle stop and break across Nebraska.

Crepe stuffed with chorizo and onions and cheese; oh my!!! This thing was phenomenal!!! Far too large to eat in one setting but it was so good you had to will yourself to stop! Beautiful and deliciously created! (The coffee was awesome too!)

Ahh, my favs!! Kitt's is the most personable business in Kearney! Their coffee is always amazing and their customer service is even better. They were really busy today & accidentally missed part of our lunch order - without us even asking or complaining (accidents happen) they gave us our meal for free and apologized right away! The sweetest staff for sure!

If you haven't been, go. If your are just visiting, go. There ain't a single item on the menu that would disappoint. Personal choice is the exception, you may not like a particular ingredient, or dish, but that doesn't mean it isn't tasty for others. Portions sizes are great. The coffee's fantastic, and the service is as well. Always helpful smiling faces (under masks or without them). It does get busy but there is quite a lot of seating inside and out. Definitely worth the stop.

Fantastic decor. Best breakfast bagel I've ever experienced. Decent coffee. So why 3 stars? They do not have any Sugar Free flavors. This was very disappointing.

I love this coffee shop! It has a wonderful menu and the building is so lovely. We have visited every time we have been in town to visit our son at the university. We will miss it as he is now graduating next week. Good luck and keep up the great work, Kitt's!

Atmosphere was nice. Parking was a bit tough. Very clean. Prices seemed a bit high. However, the rating was lower as the lattes were way too milky and we ordered extra shots for everything.

This restaurant is so adorable and aesthetic. It's a really great place to go and study and the food here is amazing. My go to is the go to egg and cheese on a bagel. The coffee and tea is also amazing.

I love this place. Their Mexican mocha is sooo good. I like it when it's spicier, sometimes it's a bit mild and just tastes like regular mocha. Their pastries are good too. The polish apple cake is really good, like an apple pie with a thicker crust. We had one of their fall donuts, which is a croissant type and WOW. Soooo buttery.

Favorite coffee place in town. Love the quite atmosphere, and the coffee is amazing. Haven't had anything bad yet.

Very nice coffee bar. They also have food but on this stop we didnt have any. The blueberry muffin was tasty and fresh. Their not having a dark roast drip seemed weird to us dark roast drinkers. I had a two shot Americano that was good.

Really cool place. I'm a coffee snob and the drip that I got here was one of the best I've had anywhere. We didn't get food but it looked really good. I'd go out of my way for coffee this good

Visiting my best friend, she wanted to try this new coffee shop with me. The vibe is spot on the minute you step in the doors. That urban feel with exposed brick, lighting and beams. Warm, inviting and encouraging to just stay a while! The staff was helpful and friendly. They source everything local, made fresh! I had medium roast black cheese free with a chocolate chip muffin and brownie. The coffee is smooth and full of flavor. Loved the baked goods! Moist, full of chocolate flavor and dense brownie one of the best I've had! I would have given them 5 stars but by 9:30 when we got here on a Saturday most of the selection was slim. If they could make sure to have more to over throughout the day it would be killer!

Pretty nice hidden gem for the Kearney community! Something reminiscent of back home in Portland! Friendly staff, great prices and wonderful drip coffee! They appear to have a decent selection of crapes and breakfast sandwiches as well which I'll have to try on the way back in! Seems like a good place to grab your laptop and work for the afternoon!

Always go here to study, baristas have always treated me amazing and make great recommendations when I don't know what to get. Coffee and tea are both always top notch and food is always a hit. Been going here on average 3 times a week for the last 2 years and have never had a single complaint, or seen angry customers. Best coffee in kearney hands down

Great coffee and friendly service! I got a drip AND a cappuccino because we were driving cross country and I needed it. The drip was delicious - good flavor and not the over-roasted burned crap you tend to get at a lot of places. Really tasted like a great craft coffee. The cappuccino was also excellent - not too much milk, just enough to soften the espresso. Didn't try the food but looked like it was good. So curious how this place started?

My husband and I had breakfast there this week. He got the biscuits and gravy and I got the Everything bagel sandwich. Our food was hot and made in great time, not to fast that you wonder if it is fresh and not so slow you'd rather go somewhere else. We knew we both enjoyed the atmosphere at Kitt's, the food and coffee is like the cherry on top. My husband has mentioned making time to go back already! I look forward to trying other options on the menu.

I've had coffee in many American cities, from Seattle to New York, and from several places in Eastern Europe. My husband adds his experience with coffees from France, Italy, Germany, and England. Nothing compares to the coffee at Kitt's. We've never experienced any better coffee anywhere. Additionally, the staff are so chill and good humored. It's pleasant just being around them. Now, the parking is flat-out bad. :D But this place is worth the walk.

My favorite coffee in Kearney! Located downtown, Kitt's has that traditional coffee shop feel. A great place to work on projects or online. Brock and Andrew do a very good job keeping the place up-to-date as well as bringing in different flavors every week. Try the daily, exotic brew or a vanilla bean latte if you like iced coffee.

Part of what I enjoy about traveling is the "hunt" for a good coffee shop. It's a rare occasion when I can find specialty single origins & blends for myself, and more traditional espresso drinks for my wife; Kitt's had us covered (with a great ambience to boot). I wish I had more time to engage the Barista's/staff to learn about the shop and passion (& try their food menu),... no good excuse. If you're local, you gotta check this place out, and if you're rolling through, trust me,.... Kitt's is worth the detour (I'll be stopping on my next trip for sure).

Traveling back towards KC and needed some coffee. There was a parade in town but we got here in spite of the closed off roads. The place itself is so cool and comfortable. So much seating and no need to feel rushed. The barista was super helpful and even let me have a taste before purchasing beans. The coffee--I had a mocha--all house made syrups--really good. Husband had a pour over which was also very good. Available muffins and pastries were warm and fresh. Morning Glory muffin was spot on! When in Kearney, NE stop here a relax for awhile.

My mom and I made my way up to Kearney, Nebraska for the total solar eclipse of the sun today and stopped in at Kitt's Coffee Bar-Calico Coffee. First impressions: it's like walking into a coffee shop in New York City or Seattle, it's gorgeous. The employees were very nice, but quiet. My mom and I looked over the menu and we both ordered the Mexican Mocha Latte and I also added a bagel with homemade strawberry cream cheese. Holy cow, they were both delicious! My coffee had a hint of cinnamon, which was amazing. The ambiance seems perfect for college students wanting to study or to meet up with a friend or family. I will definitely be going back, since I am in Kearney quite regularly for family!

This place is a gem of specialty coffee, where you'd likely not expect to find it. If you're traveling on the interstate, do yourself a favor and skip the standard limited quality options you'll find close to the interstate on your travels and get your brew here!

Loved Kitt's cool interior and tasty croissants - what an unexpected find in Kearney! Though it's a spacious place with lots of tables, it's obviously a popular spot, as nearly all of the tables were taken on a Saturday afternoon. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

My husband and I are are self proclaimed "coffee connoisseurs". We stopped by this coffee shop while visiting family in Kearney. Tried their Cardamom Thai Coffee...it was fantastic. Tried a sip of the vanilla bean latte as well and it was delicious. Not overly sweet. The decor was perfect and we loved the backdrop of the passing trains. We will be back next year!

Passing through Nebraska and stopped in. Awesome espresso.. foam was amazing. We really liked the interior of the shop and the trains going by every so often really added to the atmosphere. Great service. Great coffee.
