Kivikstrand badhotell

My family enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. Everyone was very pleasant. The breakfast was nice each morning and the views were very good.

Comfortable rooms although it does not have air conditioner. Delicious food, great location just in front of the sea. Good service. The allergy note we provided during the booking, compared to other placed, were actually taken seriously. All the serving staff were very considerate about it. During dinner while ordering (without us reminding) they provided alternatives for the dishes that we couldn't eat. Also during breakfast they reminder us which food were fine to eat and what to avoid.

People litter everywhere and the scent of cheap beer. I checked all the bushes, there was garbage and scent of pee and other uncozy stuff. Best place to sleep is somewhere high up and with plugs in nose. Not much mosquitos or other insects around there.

The hotel is nice. It is a small hotel, so rooms are quite small and so is the surroundings, but what there is, is very fine. It has been renovated recently, so all is still new and shiny.||The dinner was good, and the breakfast was ok. Due to Covid restriction, it was not a buffet, but we were served a plate of assorted toppings and bread. The soft boiled at Kivik eggs were for once actually soft, and not hard boiled as all other hotels'. They were cold, but rather a cold soft boiled, than a warm and grey hard boiled :).||The hotel are between 3 and 4 stars, but a not too convincing waiter at the dinner and some details regarding breakfast tip it to 3.

Thank you! Very nice visit with great food! We enjoyed the the meal and wine very much. The place is located by the beach/sea with a very nice garden in front. Nice breakfast as well! We will definately come back when we visit Österlen!

Me and my partner just had lunch here. Barbecue with a choice of hamburger, halloumi or smoked salmon with salad and condiments. |The warm smoked salmon was nice and a generous portion. Here the positive food experience stops. The roasted potatoes were hard and inedible. The lettuce leaves green, the tomatoes red, both without flavor. The rest of the condiments were for those choosing hamburger, none of it is was home made. |The hamburger looked like it was bought frozen in a big pack at the supermarket, so did the hamburger bread.|Go here for the view and drink, definitely not for food!

Stayed for four nights - this is a really cozy, old style summer hotel with a fab view overlooking the sea. The staff, however, were not super engaged, they did not seem to like working together or that they recognized us after a few days. Did not even ask if we had liked the stay when we checked out. Every morning, the breakfast was exactly the same, incl exactly 6 strawberries..., quite ok but boring. Why don’t they create some variation for their guests? The owner seemed to almost be avoiding contact with the guests... very strange to run an hotel with a personality like that... not sure if we will return if things stay like this...

We've now stayed here twice, our last stay having just ended. Both stays were fantastic. The owners and staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. You can spend more for a hotel in Kivik that might have more amenities, but you can't beat the location of this one. Right across from the swimming beach and a few minutes walk from dinning. A quiet little romantic hotel.
