Kiwi Experience

As a first-time solo traveler, choosing to explore New Zealand with the Kiwi Experience was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. What truly made the trip extra special was our incredible driver, Lightning. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about New Zealand but he also made the effort to truly connect with everyone. He joined us on hikes, taught us new games, and made the long drives just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves. I met amazing people and made lifelong memories. I’d absolutely recommend the Kiwi Bus to anyone—especially solo travelers—wanting to experience the best of NZ in an adventurous, social, and stress-free way.

This is my first time choosing a group tour and I have to say I am so so so glad I went with Kiwi Experience. I did the Chilled Kiwi and it was brilliant from start to finish. A very special mention to our tour guide Ricky, for making the trip legendary and run so smoothly. I would recommend their small group tours to everyone coming to New Zealand.

I would highly recommend the Kiwi Experience bus to anyone looking to travel New Zealand. As a solo traveller, I found it a great way to make friends and having the optional activities organised for you made everything so much easier. Our driver and guide Kelvin completely made the trip. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone on the bus was having a good time. His knowledge of New Zealand made the journeys all the more interesting and it was clear how much he enjoys his role. New Zealand has been the trip of a lifetime, and I will forever hold fond memories of my time on the Kiwi Experience.

To anyone thinking of booking a small group tour with kiwi experience: Do it!! I’ve just finished the Chilled Kiwi tour and I’ve had the best 3 weeks of my life 🙌🏻 It was so nice as a first time solo traveller to know that all my accommodation and travel was sorted for the next few weeks, and the extra activities were so easy to book via the trip planner - our tour guide Ricky was amazing at explaining what the activities were for each stop and when to book them by. Thanks Ricky for a fab few weeks! 💚

Such an incredible experience! I’ve never felt more fulfilled leaving a place. The small New Zealand Kiwi experience was perfect. Our tour guide (Fraser) was such a lovely person and gave great tips and recommendations for everywhere. The whole trip was so much fun and I’m now so sad to leave!

Just completed an 11 day tour of the north island (North Island Revive) as a small group. I can honestly say it was some of the best times of my life. Tina our guide was absolutely incredible and did an amazing job. I met some amazing people who I'm sure will be lifetime friends and went to some outstanding places. I cannot recommend kiwi experience more from my personal experience. Thank you so much for everything. I will absolutely return and do a trip on the south Island in the future. Absolutely perfect for solo travellers like myself and to meet other like minded people and do fun activities.

My time on Kiwi Experience was the best 2.5 weeks of my life. I went into it thinking it would just be buses that take you from A to B, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The friendships I made and memories I have will last a lifetime. The glue of the trip however, was our driver, Kelvin. Kelvin was engaging, knowledgable and worked incredibly hard to ensure we all had the most stress-free, enjoyable time, as well as being so much fun! I could not recommend this tour enough… i loved the flexibility of booking a hop-on-hop-off tour, as many of us changed our dates so we could stay together! If you are wanting to meet like-minded individuals and share an experience in the most beautiful country, this is the trip for you.

I’m a bit late posting this review as I did the GOAT tour December to January but it is the best trip I have ever been on. I decided to do this tour as I wanted to travel through New Zealand without all the stress of planning. As some of the others have mentioned we all had a great experience and made lasting memories together. A big thank you to our driver Lightning, as I couldn’t have asked for a better driver, guide, and friend. He was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about New Zealand, and he always had new games and riddles for us to keep us entertained (I just wish we had more time to play werewolf). I did a lot of the optional activities too which were great, with my personal favourites being the trip to Hobbiton and the swim with the dusky dolphins. The entire journey had good vibes, including the emotional yet inevitable ending, and I cannot recommend this trip enough. Thank you again for such an amazing experience!
