below average: the food, the chef, and the service. 1.The sushi rice was dry and hard—the worst I’ve had. 2.The chef didn’t shape the sushi properly; it fell apart like it was randomly slapped together. 3.The chef’s attitude was unwelcoming. When we entered, he folded his arms ans they just stood there. In the end, they even asked us to put our bags on the floor. 3.The service was also terrible. The staff didn’t speak English and couldn’t understand simple requests, which made communication really awkward and frustrating. Not worth it at all

Excellent experience, my wife is Japanese and we came here for our wedding anniversary. So far, it's the best sushi we have found in Paris. Service is amazing and the staff is very warm and accommodating.

Not sure why this place doesn’t have many reviews. As a tourist in Paris, this quaint unassuming place made my day. Best sushi place I have been to here. Other sushi places similar to this are much more pricey. Hopefully this review helps them get some publicity Small things that made me really like this place: 1. Very clean restroom 2. English friendly and very welcoming 3. Never rushed me (stayed two hours) 4. The staff was incredibly kind Food: 1. There were some amazing fish I have never tasted in my life (been to several hundred sushi restaurants) 2. Flat fish and sea eel was almost too much flavor to comprehend 3. Extremely refined and complex 4. Portion is a lot (even for an American standard) In the US, you would end up paying above $200-$300 for this quality. The menu is 115€ which includes 3 starter plates, 15 nigiri, 2 desserts. I didn’t take photos of all of the nigiri but I think this place is one of my favorite places around. It reminds me of Uchi if you know the reference but just one single table top. Chef is very personable. Extremely clean, quick and very tasty. I am not sure why this doesn’t have many reviews yet but hopefully this helps! This is a hidden gem. Cons: 1. I prefer mostly raw fish and the chef is searing some of the items, though probably you can request him not to. 2. If you have a group, probably best to call ahead because there aren’t many seats. 3. Short evening working hours

A very special place! Probably the best Japanese food I’ve had outside of Japan. Authentic atmosphere, amazing dishes, and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience. We happened to be accepted without reservation- definitely not recommended to do that after speaking with the Chef/Owner - we were lucky. The degustation was really great, we enjoyed everything and tried many new things. The space is small and intimate- like we are in his home. Since we were there on a quiet night, we were able to enjoy some informative conversation with the chef. But I can imagine when it’s busy it is more difficult to have this experience, since it is just 2 people working in the whole restaurant. Overall 10/10 would recommend, and will be back

Everything at its finest! The food quality, its freshness, and portions were beyond the price you pay. A lot of variety of fish, each one of them has burst into splendid flavors and different textures. Every dish was prepared in front of you, presented with art and creativity, not only delicious, but also eye-pleasing. They also served authentic desserts and Japanese teas such as Geinmacha, Hojicha, and Matcha, which flavors were well pronounced! Thank you for your hospitality and heartwarming service. I recommend booking in advance through phone call or their instagram.

We passed by Kiyo Aji by chance and I booked it for my boyfriend’s birthday days later. EXCELLENT CHOICE. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. Everything, especially the service, exudes quality and precision. The chef and the servers are so welcoming and warm. And we left without being able to eat a bite more. Truly an excellent experience. They even put a wee candle to celebrate the 30th bday of my partner. Thank you thank you ! Highly recommend.
