Taste the world at these 7 new breakfast and brunch spots in Singapore - SilverKris

"A neighbourhood café in Potong Pasir that occupies the former site of a long‑running old‑school bakery and is operated by the bakery's third generation. It serves comforting bakes such as croissant sandwiches and banana breads alongside artisanal coffee from Paradise Coffee Roasters, and features a welcoming, rustic interior of worn tiles, cement walls and wooden tables made from salvaged offcuts — making it well suited for a relaxed morning read." - Joy Fang

It was refreshing to have a drinks joint in the midst of heartlands. Very good food esp the chicken thigh fresh and crisp without the deep frying part. Service was excellent. Will return again.

Came here for breakfast. Cheese burger with black coffee. Food is average only. I like the door handle, very cute and the shop deco. Like it

This trendy Japanese restaurant turns into a hipster Izakaya at night. We almost missed the place and had to do a double take. Kizuna is a small establishment that is filled with joy and laughter. Super chill ambience, lots of people were chatting away while enjoying their drinks and small dishes. We ordered the tuna wrap, oden, unagi tamagoyaki and fish roe pasta. All of them were delicious, albeit, a little too salty. You'll definitely need something to cleanse your palette. Which is where the drinks come in. The bartender is able to customise your cocktail based on an alcohol base. I wanted something rum based and was given a concoction of rum, mezcal and other goodness. I rarely see Mezcal being mentioned in Singapore so this was a pleasant surprise. Props to the staff for making us feel welcome even though we dropped by without a reservation. Highly recommended, will definitely drop by again when the sun is still up. Do be prepared to spend a bit more on your trip.

Really enjoyed our recent dinner here. Food was yummy as per the other great Google reviews. The chef's recommendations didn't disappoint. Added photos of the fave dishes we tried that night. Friendly environment in a cozy space. We will be back!! Thank you for having us!!

Back to cafe again, it had been quite some time ago since the last visit. Wanted to try their alcohol coffee, who know that they had removed it from their menu. Had the usual flat white & truffle egg kaya toast. Yummy 😋

We ordered the breakfast platter, kaya sour dough sticks, egg mayo sourdough and mentaiko udon. The food was good and my favourite was the egg mayo sourdough, though I do wish the portions were bigger for its price. Cafe vibes were very homely and cosy. Owners of the place seemed nice as well. Would recommend this place if you happen to be in the vicinity of potong pasir!

A cozy place for a simple and delightful breakfast. Their sous-vide truffle eggs were perfectly cooked and balanced, with the truffle not overpowering the flavours of the eggs. The sourdough with kaya was simple but good. Could have been even better with some butter on it. The coffee selection was also good and the hojica latte was very good and pretty with a rabbit-shaped milk foam. But the highlight of the breakfast was the Japanese coffee jelly: a sweet milk foam that well balances the freshness and bitterness of a jelly made with fresh espresso. You can really taste the freshly ground coffee beans and their flavours. Highly recommend it for a relaxing breakfast during weekend!

Kizuna hits all the right notes—fantastic cocktails and top-notch Japanese food that keeps you coming back for more. The drink menu is a standout, with expertly crafted cocktails that are both refreshing and full of flavor. From inventive twists on classics to unique house specials, each drink feels like a work of art. As for the food, it’s authentic and satisfying. The rice dishes are out of this world; enjoyed my food thoroughly. The atmosphere is laid-back yet lively, with the kind of vibe that’s perfect for a night out with friends or a relaxed date. If you’re in the mood for a great drink paired with delicious Japanese food, this izakaya bar definitely delivers.
