Kjerag Cafe & Restaurant (Øygardstøl)

Comfy cafe for hikers to rest before and after the hike, with a variety of food and bottled drinks available (though the prices are naturally higher) - pity that they served coffee but not iced coffee though! An iced latte would be a perfect after climb drink.

Base camp for hikers going up to Kjerag (pronounced as She-Rag). People can park here, and have breakfast before going or a meal after coming back from Kjeragbolten. They have panoramic windows with views of the valley and the famous winding road up.

Beautiful place. If you want a hot drink after the kjeragbolten hike this is your place. Also there is nice selection of fridge magnets for sale. Excellent view of the lysebotn valley and lysefjord.

Must stop and see, only one hour of free parking but great view down in to town in the humongous valley. Kind staff, food looked great, had no time to try it.

The cafe is located in an exceptional place. Unfortunately, four-legged friends are not allowed. They state that the law prohibit them from allowing dogs to be inside, but there is no such law that explicitly states that. I was pretty disappointed when they said that when it's 30° outside and my dog was overheated from the sun. We only needed a shelter from the sun for a couple of minutes. Do not recommend bringing your pet here

Excellent place for a hot chocolate after the hiking in Kjeragbolten. Staff is very friendly and proactive. Shout out to the Spanish guy who served us, he is awesome! Clean WCs, wonderful views of the mountain and a calm place to relax after a tiring hiking 🥾

I have been to Lysbotn four times now but I have to say that the people who run the place now are ruining the whole adventure. The food at the restaurant at the campsite is awful and when we went up to the top restaurant in the morning hoping to get some coffee and breakfast she comes when they are about to open, then everyone has to stand outside and wait for twenty-five minutes. When we finally get in she can't get coffee, there was no breakfast just a few muffins. Unfortunately I probably won't go back. I was really disappointed this year and the prices are also sky high.
