"An outdoor swimming pool with views of the hills and stylish décor can be enjoyed in the charming hillside neighborhood of Tres Cerritos. The on-site gift shop carries exclusive regional crafts. With elegant upholstered red sofas, a rustic stone fireplace and decorative rugs, Kkala has 4-star facilities just a 5-minute drive from downtown Salta. The property is built on several levels and does not have an elevator, only stairs. Rooms at Kkala are equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen cable TVs and parquet floors. Some rooms have private hydromassage tubs with city views and balconies. For breakfast, guests can enjoy regional jams and treats at the sun deck area. Massage sessions are available for an extra fee. The tour desk can provide tips and directions or arrange for car and bicycle rental services. "Ask an Argentinean where to go for an experience that combines rural customs with the conveniences of urban living, and one likely answer is Salta. This mid-sized city in the northwest corner of Argentina boasts a wealth of neoclassical architecture and a tradition of local craftsmanship that retains some of the region’s Incan influence. A twenty-minute walk from downtown Salta brings you to the quiet foothills neighborhood of Tres Cerritos, home of the family-owned, bed-and-breakfast–style Kkala Boutique Hotel." - Tablet Hotels

This is the best place I have stayed at in Argentina all round. The staff are very friendly and helpful and communication is excellent. The rooms are beautiful and the hotel is charming with plenty of communal spaces to relax. Breakfast has views of the city and mountains and the food is delicious. Can’t recommend enough.

The hotel itself is a beautiful mix of folk and elegance. Service is attentive and helpful (Eugenia was on top of everything and so helpful with directions and suggestions). Absolutely beautiful breakfast, warm pool and little nook and crannies where you can enjoy a glass of wine or just some quiet contemplation.

Absolutely loved this charming little boutique hotel in Salta. We were on the top floor with a spacious beautifully decorated room which even had a spa with a view overlooking the pool and skyline. It was magic, quiet and just perfect. The lobby was also so well decorated and even had an “honesty bar” where you could take a drink either there or back to your room and pay later. Breakfast was sufficient with again a gorgeous view.||Only thing to be aware of is that due to its quiet location, it is away from the city centre. While it’s a relatively easy walk to some restaurants, the main parts of the city are quite far and an uber is likely easier than walking. However I would sacrifice this for the beauty and relaxation of this hotel. Definitely recommend!

Booked this rather last minute and were so so pleasantly surprised! So much so that we booked another night right away for when we come back to Salta a few days later. Beautifully decorated hotel, large and comfortable rooms (we booked a large room with jacuzzi), great breakfast and very good, friendly, and personal service. We did not get to see it in good weather but already couldn’t recommend more!

Really lovely boutique hotel in a green and quiet neighbourhood of Salta. No more than 4km from the centre. We loved being out of the centre as it was more relaxed and there were several good places to eat close by. Great breakfast included, nice pool and very friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.

Staying at KKala was a highlight of my travels in Argentina! I stayed here with my mom for a few nights while we were in Salta, we loved everything about this boutique hotel -- the artistry, the food, the pool and, perhaps most of all, the staff who were so welcoming and helpful! I sincerely hope to return and would recommend KKala to anyone staying in the Salta region.

This is a gorgeous little hotel on the outskirts of Salta, with a charm and gentle atmosphere that surpassed expectations.||The first point to make is to not be concerned about the 'distance' from the city centre. As a direct walk it's only about a mile and a half, and because of the very favourable exchange rate, a taxi cost us only about £1.20. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within just a short walk too, so you don't even need to go down town if you don't want to. ||The highlight of our stay was the intangible... but oh so important... attitude of the reception staff. Without exception all were amazingly friendly, and always wanted to find out what they could to do in order to enhance our experience - about 180 degrees opposite of the sort of hotel staff who make you believe they're annoyed as you've arrival at the desk has damaged their ability to complete admin! Sorted taxis for us (which always arrived quickly), arranged a table for us at the pena 'La Vieja Estacion' at very short notice (which is subject to another review) and helped us sort a day trip to Humahuaca. Basically, always really nice and massively helpful. Their ability to speak excellent English made life very easy too.||We stayed in the large room on the top floor, which has a jacuzzi, sitting room type area, with the bed and a second toilet on a mezzanine type level up some stairs over the 'ground floor' area. The room also has a small balcony with views over the city. Very nice, and I'm sure is commented on elsewhere.||Our one regret is that we kept ourselves so busy during our stay in Salta that we never actually stayed around the hotel for very long when we were awake. Hindsight being the exact science it is, we really could have stayed an extra day so we had some time to hang around the little pool, chill out on the balcony with a glass of wine, and generally recharge the batteries on what was a full and busy tour of Argentina.||

Beautiful place, very tidy, clean, and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was not only good, but the breakfast room had a nice overview look of the city. The hotel is about 10 minutes away (by car) from the city center and is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood of beautiful Salta.
