Klein's Bakery & Cafe (Buena Park)

I’ve ordered three different birthday cakes from this bakery at different times of the year, and every time it has been a disappointment. The cakes look beautiful on the outside, but the taste is consistently bad. The cake layers are dry, stale, and taste as if they were made days—if not weeks—before pickup. The icing is overly sweet, has a strange aftertaste, and doesn’t complement the cake at all. For the price they charge, the quality is simply not worth it. Honestly, you’re better off getting a cake from Jewel or Sam’s Club—those are fresher, softer, and taste much better than what I’ve received here. I won’t be ordering again.

I stopped by Klein’s Bakery & Cafe in Buena Park and it instantly felt like a cozy neighborhood favorite you’d return to again and again. The space has that warm, inviting café vibe — comfortable seating, friendly staff, and the smell of fresh pastries the moment you walk in. I tried a couple of their baked goods and a breakfast sandwich, and everything hit that perfect balance of homemade and satisfying. The pastries were flaky and rich without feeling too sweet, and the breakfast sandwich was hearty and fresh — great for starting the day right. Service was attentive and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience feel personal rather than rushed. Overall, Klein’s Bakery & Cafe is one of those dependable spots in Chicago where good coffee and freshly baked treats come together perfectly. It’s relaxed, delicious, and a great choice for a casual morning or midday bite.

Ordered a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese on an Everything bagel. Good and fresh. Drip coffee (Metropolis La Cordillera Blend) was decent. Seating inside gets full as the place does get busy.

I stopped by this cozy café and ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich and an iced latte—and wow, both were solid hits! The croissant was buttery and flaky on the outside, with just the right amount of crisp. Inside, the sandwich was stacked with crispy bacon, melty cheddar, and a fluffy egg—simple, but done really well. The bacon had a great smoky flavor, and the cheese gave it that gooey richness I was hoping for. Definitely a satisfying bite from start to finish. The iced latte was smooth and refreshing, not too sweet, and had a good balance between the espresso and milk. Perfectly chilled with just enough ice to keep it cool without watering it down. Bonus points for the friendly atmosphere and fast service— Highly recommend for a chill breakfast or brunch stop.

Sooo good, the tres-leches BOMB and the tiramisu 10/10 The Nutella croissant 🥐 warmed up is also so worth it. Amazing bagel sandwiches and I go every time I visit Chicago

Ordered catering for a work event and it was great service from start to finish! Klein's worked well with our budget and delivered items as planned. Staff loved the tea, coffee, and assortment of baked goods (the spinach pastry was a favorite by many!) Would definitely order again for a future event!

This is such a lovely place, friendly staff and nice environment. I totally loved the Grilled Cheese and bacon with tomato soup, IT IS A MUST TRY! If you are going to check some desserts I would definitely go for the awesome Tres Leches Cake. I am also a huge fan of Coffee and I really enjoyed it in here, they do have variety of flavors and substitutions of milk what is great. I’m definitely coming back <3

Lovely cafe! Service was fast and the ladies were super friendly. Food was pipping hot and tasty! The coffee has a rich smooth flavor and no acidity. If I lived here this would be my go to spot.
