Important: Do not confuse this taverna with Klimataria Beach itself – the beach is beautiful, family-friendly, and worth visiting. Unfortunately, the taverna experience was the opposite. Prices are extremely high (an espresso is €5), and you are practically forced to order drinks if you want to use their sunbeds (water is not even considered a drink, likely because it’s too cheap). We tried natural juices instead of sodas: both the orange juice and lemonade were awful. The toilets were dirty, and the lady managing the place treated guests terribly if they didn’t order food.
Because of the poor food quality and lack of hygiene, we didn’t risk eating there and chose the next-door taverna instead – which turned out to be excellent: delicious food, spotless clean, and very kind staff.
The second day, the lady threatened us that if we didn’t eat at her place, we would have ‘serious problems.’ On the third day, she put ‘reserved’ signs on all sunbeds to block us from staying, only allowing people who ordered from her.
It’s a pity such a beautiful beach is spoiled by such unpleasant and unprofessional management. Sadly, there aren’t many alternatives for sunbeds here, so you are forced to deal with this behavior.
