Kloof Street House

Dinner tonight at Kloof Street House, a recommendation from a local, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food and drinks were beautifully presented, and my fish was cooked perfectly. Dessert was delicious, and the service throughout the evening was attentive and friendly. A memorable dining experience, I would definitely return!

We came here for drinks for my best friends birthday. We did not book however they gave us a beautiful table in the outside area. It was cozy + ambient. However I am writing this review for our special waitress, her name is Bella. She was kind from the start, she checked on us often + made an effort to make my friends birthday memorable. Her prompt service as well as elegant manner in my opinion is worth 5 stars. She is a wonderful addition to the place - thank you Bella dear. We will be back 💛💛

This is a cozy yet elegant spot nestled between beautiful greens. Food is amazing, super cute, and elegant decor. However, the service wasn't up to the standards I'd hoped for at such an establishment. The waiter we had was nearly never at our table and flying past us without any recognition, other waiters had to flag her down for us. The food and drinks are amazing. The best was when my heel broke and there was a gentleman in the back that repaired shoes, fixed in no time this was such an amazing experience, especially considering all the cape town girlies wearing heels.

What an unforgettable evening at Kloof Street House! From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with an amazing atmosphere — cozy, vibrant, and full of charm. The house itself, built in 1910, is absolutely stunning. The owners have clearly paid incredible attention to every little detail — the decor is beautiful, and the overall ambiance is simply perfect. The food was out of this world: the prawns and calamari were absolutely delicious, fresh, and seasoned to perfection. The steak was grilled exactly the way we wanted it — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The service was excellent — attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly taken care of. And the best part: the entire experience, including service charge, came to only €205.68 — worth every cent for such a fantastic evening! Kloof Street House is an absolute must when you’re in Cape Town. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly, highly recommended!

good vibes, good food, good drinks! We walked in around 6p.m. and found seats at bar left for three of us. so I would recommend you to make a reservation before going 🍽️🍷

I had brunch and dinner here and both meals were divine. The ambience is incredible, and the food even better. All the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely add this place to your list!!

Kouse is truly a beautiful place with stunning décor and a cozy, elegant atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive, always checking in to see if we needed anything. I ordered the beef burger, which was fantastic & juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also had a coffee latte, which was rich. For dessert, I tried the malva pudding; it was good & not overly sweet. One thing is that there is an indoor bar that serves alcohol. Personally, I preferred to sit outside, away from that area, and the outdoor seating was just as enjoyable. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
