Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa

Beautiful and peaceful. It has Mpumalanga feels... even though it's 40min away from Pretoria. That's what makes it special. They have a buffet dinner and breakfast setup and the food is amazing. The spa is also nice to book and experience the treatments.

Came here via a strat session with my company. When I drove in and parked I was impressed but not overwhelmingly so...until you get to the steps that lead you to the receipton desk! The view of the lake in the distance is breathtaking. Overall experience has been really on point and will definitely consider coming back with my family, it's absolutely awesome

We booked the hotel with the balloon experience and had a great time. Rooms: really good and spacious with all amenities, although they only had bar soap. Service: overall was okay, the staffs were friendly, I went there on my birthday and got a birthday cake from the hotel too Atmosphere: they had the best views especially during the golden hour, but there was a weird green and bitter smell throughout the hotel maybe from the trees The balloon experience was great too.

Spent the weekend with my wife and was an amazing time. Internet to the room went down due to lightning which is why the 4 stars. As it was down even when we checked out. Will still highly recommend going to unwind or just experiencing a quiet place to enjoy nature. Amazing waking up to the sound of Hot Air Balloons taking off outside your window.

This is the second hotel under the Guvon hotels and what a stunner 😍 earlier this year, I was at the gleburn hotel and I thought that was impressive until this one. Kloofzicht is so luxurious in every way, the rooms are super big with a spacious full bathroom with an outside shower. I had the views of the lake with ducks swimming - it was so peaceful. Oh my, the food, the food was amazingly delicious 😋 I really loved this place. I will definitely go back on a personal trip to also try out the spa

The staff are some of the friendliest and most well-trained people we’ve ever encountered—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay special. The lodge itself is absolutely breathtaking. The setting is serene and luxurious, and the rooms are modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. Every little convenience and comfort has been thoughtfully provided, making us feel truly spoiled. And the food… wow. Both dinner and breakfast were mind-blowingly good—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and presented with so much care. Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa is one of those rare places where everything just feels perfect. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning! Although a hotel I go there for the fishing. I only fish for bass and I dont think there's any better place in Jozi to catch some amazing bass. It's a bit pricey at R250 but totally worth it and you guaranteed to catch some amazing fish. They have 4 dams that are all stocked. Most have bass and carp and also the largest dam has trout. Also not to forget the amazing views and wildlife around.

We stayed in the Royal Suite and it was absolutely incredible. The suite was very spacious, private, and offered breathtaking views. The heated jacuzzi and fire pit created the perfect evening atmosphere. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival with roses beautifully spread on the bed and two generous cheese board baskets filled with nuts and snacks — such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was top notch with plenty of variety and fresh options. From the porters to the waiters, every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their friendliness really made our stay extra special. A truly memorable experience — highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxury getaway!
