Such a lovely overnight getaway with friends. The location is absolutely beautiful with stunning views, and the food was delicious. It was the perfect little out-of-town escape. Relaxing, scenic, and exactly what we needed.

Came here via a strat session with my company. When I drove in and parked I was impressed but not overwhelmingly so...until you get to the steps that lead you to the receipton desk! The view of the lake in the distance is breathtaking. Overall experience has been really on point and will definitely consider coming back with my family, it's absolutely awesome

Physically, this is an amazing property well deserving of its 5-star rating. However, our anniversary stay was dampened by poor reception service (staff members who was checking us in was not welcoming at all & ancted like he was doing us an favour by being there) and technical failures. Our room had no working WiFi or telephone, leaving us stranded without room service. Great location, but the guest experience needs improvement.

We booked the hotel with the balloon experience and had a great time. Rooms: really good and spacious with all amenities, although they only had bar soap. Service: overall was okay, the staffs were friendly, I went there on my birthday and got a birthday cake from the hotel too Atmosphere: they had the best views especially during the golden hour, but there was a weird green and bitter smell throughout the hotel maybe from the trees The balloon experience was great too.

Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa is hands down one of my favourite escapes.||||The lodge offers a real sense of immersion in nature—I saw a wonderful variety of animals during my stay, which added to the overall experience. Some reviews mention bats; thankfully, I had no issues at all.||||The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to fully unwind. What really stood out, though, were the many thoughtfully placed spots to sit, relax, and soak up the sun while enjoying the fresh air and natural surroundings.||||Peaceful, restorative, and beautifully set—this is a place I’d happily return to again and again.||||The spa experience was unfortunately very disappointing, with poor communication, a significant delay to my treatment, and a lack of professionalism that did not match the otherwise high standard of the lodge.

This is the second hotel under the Guvon hotels and what a stunner 😍 earlier this year, I was at the gleburn hotel and I thought that was impressive until this one. Kloofzicht is so luxurious in every way, the rooms are super big with a spacious full bathroom with an outside shower. I had the views of the lake with ducks swimming - it was so peaceful. Oh my, the food, the food was amazingly delicious 😋 I really loved this place. I will definitely go back on a personal trip to also try out the spa

An Unforgettable Experience We booked the Flight and Stay package at Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa, and from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff are some of the friendliest and most well-trained people we’ve ever encountered—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making your stay special. The lodge itself is absolutely breathtaking. The setting is serene and luxurious, and the rooms are modern, spotless, and beautifully designed. Every little convenience and comfort has been thoughtfully provided, making us feel truly spoiled. And the food… wow. Both dinner and breakfast were mind-blowingly good—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and presented with so much care. Kloofzicht Lodge and Spa is one of those rare places where everything just feels perfect. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be returning! Thank you Kloofzicht You will absolutely see us and our friends and family again.

Beautiful and peaceful. It has Mpumalanga feels... even though it's 40min away from Pretoria. That's what makes it special. They have a buffet dinner and breakfast setup and the food is amazing. The spa is also nice to book and experience the treatments.
