Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa

We celebrated my husbands birthday with a party of 13 on Sunday. While the buffet was good, there was no aircon so we sweltered in the heat. Service could have been better and although we had requested a table on the terrace we had to sit inside. Definitely not a 5 star experience!

This was the perfect place for a couples weekend getaway. Very beautiful and peaceful area. While it is great for couples this is also a nice place for a family to come as well and they do events to include weddings. Beautiful place. We will definitely be back.

The rooms are spectacular and so spacious! We only stayed one night, but had the most restful sleep and woke up feeling well-rested and peaceful. You should always give any lodge or getaway with a spa a try — and this one takes a spot in my top 5 favorite spas! It was incredibly relaxing, the staff were friendly, and the spa itself was neat and spacious. The lakes surrounding the property were gorgeous and make for a scenic walk. There are plenty of wild animals to spot, too — antelope, springbok, impala, wildebeest, zebra, and even warthog. We never saw any, but there are signs all over the place warning you about baboons. Please be vigilant.

This place should be downgraded to 3 star. From no water and milk in the room on arrival to a complete mess up at dinner...they have a buffet and a menu but the menu is only for room service. No clear information on check in as to how this worked. We eventually decided to go for the buffet...as we doubted the capability of the staff to promptly prepare meals from the menu. We didn't even have a waiter... 🤣 this place turned out to be a joke. Very nice location and views.

Staff and service were great, food was good but the room was extremely disappointing. Mould on the pillows, couch was peeling off, the balcony was filthy, covered in bird poo.. the deck was lifting and needed serious renovation and maintenance. The thing that made my stay worse was the sewage stench, it was unbearable even with my sliding door closed. Used to love this place, now I will think twice before booking again

Beautiful setting. Lots of water, plenty of nature, lovely views and good for the soul. Happy staff who are prepared to help and be counted. Breakfast extremely well organised with great variety. Lots of areas to lounge around and relax. Dam full of fish. Walks aplenty. Two lovely swimming pools.

Spent the night after our wedding… such peace and bliss. Loved the fly-fishing, dinner and breakfast was great. Staff very friendly.
