Knappogue Castle

We're glad we booked this on our bus tour. We had a great night. The small castle was kept in good condition. You'll be greeted with the staff that is dressed in medieval time and a Mead. Wish they have the Mead in the table coz that would have been really nice. They do have red and white wine in jugs. The food was nice. It's a 4 course meal. We love the whole act with singing and dance performance. It's worth the night.

Knappogue Castle was built in 1467 by Seán Mac Conmara (MacNamara), Italy is a medieval tower house designed for defence. It has thick limestone walls and narrow slit windows to withstand sieges and raids. We enjoyed the music, storytelling, and a delicious banquet.

Did the Medieval Dinner Show. Wonderful meal! Great staff, really fun time, fantastic musicians, a wonderful Irish Step Dancer, beautiful singers! It was wonderful evening

Toured the entire country of Ireland and this was easily the top 5 best moments of the trip. The entire staff is extremely talented and kind, the food is great, and the show / atmosphere puts you center stage of medieval times (including the lack of air con on a particularly hot day, but we managed perfectly fine). If you’re in the area, you can’t skip this! We happened to be chosen as the main king and queen for the event, which was a lot of fun as well. Thank you Niall, you’re amazing. Sorry we had to rush off to the bus, but we appreciated your hospitality and wonderful personality. - The newly wed couple from Tennessee

The medival banquet is absolutly fantastic! It is a lifetime experience. All actor/actress/singer/musician were amazing.

This castle is for banquets only. Hopefully this helps someone!! It's not advertised as such, but not really available for the public. A few days later we went to the dinner and it was fantastic! The staff is amazing and it was truly an amazing experience

A great and authentic medieval dinner with show. Very well done! I was impressed with the quality and “”feel”” of the performance. Food was above average. Very engaging show as all of the performers were professional.

The Medieval Banquet at Knappogue Castle was great. The setting, service, food and entertainment were all excellent.

Our tour group had our own area to ourselves, which made it easier to hear each other. The performers worked very hard! They greeted us, served us drinks, seated us, brought us food, and entertained us! A couple from our group became the king/queen for our contingent. The castle had very modern toilets! (Hey, how often do you get to use the bathroom in a castle?) Afterwards, we ranged over the lawn and took lovely photos with the castle in the background.

My wife and I came on a tour for the dinner show. Regular menu was smoked salmon on top of a small salad, tomato soup, and baked chicken with roasted vegetables (carrots and turnips) and mashed potatoes with gravy. No complaints with food and they were very accommodating for vegetarians and food allergies, etc. The entertainment was very good also and they did a fantastic job.
