The Most Scenic Way to See Denali National Park Is Through This River Valley With Turquoise Ice Floe

"A striking turquoise ice floe set against the Chugach Mountains, accessible by helicopter landings and offering otherworldly experiences of ice caves, sloping passageways, and a rippled, sometimes fissured surface for glacial hiking and exploration." - Brandon Withrow

We didn't make it, but the fat bike ride out was fantastic. We rented biked from downtown bike rental in Anchorage. Pete was fantastic. He opened early and hooked us up with some great bikes and even threw in a tailgate pad for free. The trip out was a little difficult to route in the beginning but was easy to follow once you get across the first creek crossing.

Sharing the beauty of Knik Glacier Alaska where every ATV/Quads/4-wheeling enthusiasts’ final destination after hours of river-crossing, trail-maze finding, mud-splurging, and 4-wheeler snorkeling. You’ll get to race to a run-way looking area too where glider planes flies low… Berries along the way… when you get stuck, fellow 4-wheelers will stop to help.. most of the area have no hotspot for your cellphone… so, it’s more fun to go in groups.

Beautiful all year round. Went ATVing in Sept and off-road with the Jeep in Feb and both times had a blast. If you get a chance to make it out there definitely go.
