Absolutely incredible experience. The groups are small which make the tour very enjoyable. The guide I had was very personable, knowledge and you could really tell she has true passion for this place. I feel terrible I forgot her name or I would absolutely mention it.

Hard to believe that the site has been used since 3000 BC. This is well worth a journey to see. A guided tour is the only way to see Knowth. There are no self-guided tours.

We did Newgrange and Knowth. Definitely cool but I much preferred the stone circles. They seemed more natural/untouched. These sites are extensively rebuilt - which is great to save what we can. They just didnt give any vibes at all. Maybe too many people. Sept 9, 2024.
I missed Broadleas and Athgreany to see this and its one of my biggest regrets. 2nd trip we did Broadleas but Athgreany is closed indefinitely.

We had a Beautiful sunny day. Tour guide was knowledgeable and answered all kinds of questions . 30 min guided your , then time to explore yourself..and small exhibition across the road.

This is absolutely a fascinating site. Not only for the major mound itself but for the smaller mounds around it. Combine that with the stone carvings and the mini passages and such, there is a lot to see at this site aside from what is obviously shown to you.
I squeezed my way through one of the small passages just for giggles and that was cool!
