Ko Adang

Come here for the snorkeling. Forget Koh Lipe for snorkeling. If you have ever done any snorkeling in decent waters, you will be disappointed in Koh Lipe for snorkeling. Instead, spend 200 Thb , and hire a boat from Sunrise Beach to take you to Koh Adang and back. A 20 minute ride in a longtail taxi boat and they will drop you off at the dock in front of the Tarutao Park headquarters. Once on the beach , head RIGHT, and walk around the sandy spit. Head another 100 to 300 yards up the beach to a huge area that is roped off with red buoys. You cannot miss it. Head into the water there and prepared to be enchanted and amazed by the coral varieties, the fish, the starfish, moray eels and last but definitely not least, the giant claims with their iridescent and multicolored mantles. Truly a wonder. There are shaded areas under various trees 🌳 up the beach where you can rest between snorkel adventuring. BE PREPARED when coming to Koh Adang to snorkel . BRING WATER, SUNSCREEN, FOOD, HAT, COVER UPS ,TOILET PAPER AND SNORKEL GEAR. Restrooms available in the Park Limited park cottages are available for about 1500 Thb. if interested in spending a night or two. Final Take...clean off the mask and scoot over to Koh Adang. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

quiet beautiful island,not yet commercialize or crowded; can take taxi boat from sunrise beach (koh lipe) to here, 100 x 2 for go and return, be sure you tell the boat guy in advance what time to pick up Highlight is Chado hike, prepare water in advance as just had 1 restaurant here with slim stock

Beautiful deserted island. We get there by boat ( we rented long tail boat for our own ( with driver) on sunrise beach for the trip 1500bath) It was really pure beauty with transparent sea and just two of us on the beach To get even better one ask for ko lek!

Absolutely hidden gem. The water is crystal clear, warm and perfect for swimming. There are lots of shade in the form of the pine trees and very relaxing to chill out there. If you fancy some exercise, there is a 45-60 mins hike up the hill and you will be rewarded with a stunning view of Koh Lipe. Wear some sunblock as part of the path is not shaded and walking shoes are recommended. Ko Adang is a lovely idyllic place to spend the day, especially if you want to escape the crowd at Koh Li Pe. It is easy to get a taxi boat there from any of the beaches in Koh Lipe. I was there in the peak season and there were always a couple of taxi boats waiting at Koh Adang to take you back to Koh Lipe

Nice island, next to Lipe island Thailand. If you do to Lipe, you should go to Koh Adang. You can take Taxi boat only 100฿, take 20 minutes. The island is very quiet and peaceful. Love it! I stay at national park, it’s very cheap.
