Beautiful course, definitely one of the best I've played on the island. Great design & not frustratingly difficult, so it's easy to enjoy the views. Customer service was also top-notch. I'll be coming back for sure.

Google
Resort golf at its finest! Amazing clubhouse, range, snack shop, carts, conditions & personnel. Just an overall pleasure to play and a professional manner all around to enjoy. Timed my round perfectly with sunset though your pace of play could become an issue…but your cart is monitored & will inform you of such. First place I’d recommend to play on Oahu!

Google
Love this golf course, not my first time playing here, still as beautiful as it always is. The course is well maintained. The design of the course is not easy but yet not too challenging. Just nice to be serious but not too serious. You will forget your 3 putts when you enjoy the beautiful scenery.

We love the course and have played it almost every year we come for our anniversary. My wife likes to ride along, have a beverage and a treat. We were told there is a beverage cart on the course, tee'd off at 1. We got to the 8th tee box only to then see her darting across the open field to 7. We flagged her down with the help of the Golf Pro on site who happened to be right there. She drove over and said to my wife in the cart "the snack bar is coming up next, I don't normally come over here" in a tone. We just spent a few hundred for me to play and her to ride. Needless to say my wife was unhappy as she didn't get her "fun" in riding experience and we didn't want to purchase from that girl anyway afterwards. We are spenders who tip well, it's unfortunate that a shortcut in course beverage service can create such a lasting bad experience. Course condition was great, pro shop nice, weather perfect, on-course beverage service well below expectations, shame.

The course is always in great shape. It’s well manicured with interesting features throughout. The views are very nice. The greens are challenging and super fast. This might be the most challenging public course on Oahu. The staff is always friendly. The price is about average for the Island. The course is always packed though. Even when I go at odd hours it’s always bustling. Pace of play can be an issue with this course because of its popularity. The clubhouse is huge with lots of branded gear. Overall a fun and challenging course, just be prepared to possibly play behind slower groups.

Google
First time playing there. Once I arrived someone greeted me, already took my golf bag and helped me what to do. Super nice. Friendly staff. Super cool. I feel like the cherry on top was the towel refresher when you bring the cart back after play it was cold and minty. It felt good. Especially on those hot days. Got no complaints. Have no problem with the price for the service they provide. Water cups and water bottles. Keep up the good work!!! Thanks for the lady bug on my bag.

Google
It was a good time… with a few pointers I wish I would had known: The carts are constantly asking you to hit the screen to clear something like an ad or something (go away and just show me the course and GPS info). GPS was almost always wrong by about 10-12 yards (compared to range finder that is pretty reliable). Bring your range finder. Bermuda grass is what it is, but it’s everywhere so don’t be surprised. Course was in good shape and really pretty. Layout is pretty resorty and kinda boring. We had fun though. If you’re staying nearby and want to play, go for it but expect to pay a lot (nearly $600 for two of us). If you’re 45 mins away like we were it might be better to pass. Rental clubs were Qi10 full sets for men and Taylormade Kalea for the Women’s. Both were nice sets. PS- if you want to order something hot at the turn make sure you read all the popups on the screen, one of them is your one chance to order food. We missed that and called them and they said they couldn’t take our order over the phone. Kinda silly.

Google
Golf course is fantastic and so are the staff. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the rental clubs. For the money you pay to rent these clubs, very underwhelming set, not cleaned, and I had a big dent in the putter face, which they fixed on the turn.

Yelp
What an experience! Everyone was so welcoming. Felt like we were at a 5-start resort. The hospitality was amazing. The greens were well kept. The rental clubs were a year old (qi10's and p790's). The carts were a couple months old. Jason was incredibly helpful setting us up for our tee time and Ashley was beyond selfless as she opened up the food bar early for our early tee time. Thank you for making my dad's 80th birthday a memorable one!

Yelp
Beautiful course and polite and courteous staff. The course can be muddy in several places and plays differently than most courses on the mainland. The restroom situation however is a mess and quite poor for a course at this quality. I would say there are better courses to play on the island.

Yelp
Excellent tourist resort golf course and facilities. From arrival golf bag drop off until you are returned 5 hours later to your car in the parking lot on the shuttle bus this place is a class act. January 2025: The course condition is excellent. Fairway grass is green and consistent. Putting greens are astroturf smooth, though not particularly fast. (If you want to experience fast putting greens head over to Ewa Beach golf club). Practice range balls small bucket is included with green fee. Balls are in excellent condition. Golf carts are in excellent condition. All personnel, and there are a lot of them, were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Plan on a 4 hour 45 minute round. This place is so scenic and fun to play you will not regret the slowish pace of play. I've played 7 golf courses on O'ahu, this one is the most luxurious, Of course it is also the most expensive.

Yelp
My sister and I played here on a recent trip to Hawaii. It is on the pricy side but the course was beautifully maintained. Everyone who helped us from the pro shop to the lady working the starter station to the nice man at cart return who gave us a ride back to our hotel in his golf cart. They even let us go out as a twosome instead of with the other two who had the same tee time. It was a fun course and even had a Mickey face sand trap which was a nice touch. Overall well worth the money!

Jim P.

Yelp
It's always a great experience playing Ko Olina, the course is pristine, and the service always is on point. Greg Nichols continues to run one of the most beautiful courses on Oahu.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Everyone there was nice except Eric Miller. Little power tripper. As a resident of another island, when I go to Oahu in the future I will most likely play another one of the great courses there, just to not give anywhere that employs him any of my hard earned money.
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
The cart staff except for the older guy all mocked me after I said "thank you" to them. This is unacceptable behavior especially from a course I thought was a top 100 course. If you want to be a professional course at least hire professional people. I feel so sorry for the senior cart cleaner and that he has to deal with the incompetence of his employees. Definitely will never be stepping foot here again.

Yelp
Great course, great service , well groomed course and challenging. One of my favorite places to play.

Yelp
Let me preface this review with saying that I've played at Koolina probably 15 times in the past 8 years, and this review only reflects my most recent experience. The course and staff overall are always a real pleasure and this is normally one of my favorite courses to play. The last time i visited however felt like a colossal waste of time and money, solely due to the marshall Mike that was on duty today. On multiple holes, we were talked to about potentially needing to skip a hole to get on pace, that we were behind, or generally pressuring us to play faster. This was while playing par golf with a 4 man scramble, and most holes having to wait at the tee for the group ahead of us. Multiple tee shots were spent with him under 40 yards from the tee just watching us hit, and i watched him follow the group in front of us, waiting within 40 yards of them while they hit their second shots from the fairway. It was an amazing example of how one person can completely ruin an otherwise great experience and i hope this review helps Koolina Golf Resort look closer at how they manage their marshals. At hole 10, we waited almost 5 minutes to for the fairway to clear, to be talked to while still on the tee about our pace. That is completely rediculous and showed a complete lack of awareness and professionalism.

Yelp
The cast members here are awesome.. treat with ease and comfort .. they go out of their way to make you have a great day on the course..Thank you Joe and Daniel for an exceptional golf day. The course is amazing, fun and the food is really good.

Jerry B.

Yelp
Played two days. Entire staff was great. Starter, Club House staff and cart guy's were attentive to everything I asked for. Head Pro Joe took care of me being a local from Big Island and not have my Local credential. Thanks for a great experience.

Yelp
We love driving here from town for the driving range. The course is stunning. Prompt and friendly service at both the store and range. The golf store also offers a variety of golf attire, clubs and accessories. $12 for a large basket of balls is such a steal, considering hitting off real grass!

randy C.

Yelp
Great clubhouse and facilities. Generous fairways but sanded greens were disappointing. Maybe I missed that note when making the tee time? it would have been fun otherwise. First twosome out and less than 3.5 hour round.

Yelp
The Golf Crew from start to finish were awesome. Made our whole group have a wonderful experience. Even the grounds keepers on the course during play were friendly. Love the cold towels when turning in the carts.

Yelp
Nice course across from the Disney resort. The Staff are professional and very friendly, The course is well kept. Course is not difficult although the wind creates the challenge. Greens are also fun. This is great option for golf if you want to pay the expensive green fees.

David B.

Yelp
The course was okay. Not fantastic. There are around three Disney type of water holes which are scenic. But beyond that, the course is about on par with a good municipal course. The Del Monte course in Monterey is hands above as are the Wailea, Kapalua and Kauai golf courses. It's not even in the same stratosphere as any of the courses in Pebble Beach. But the pricing is. It was fun and challenging, but it's cannot be compared to the courses mentioned above. For paying the ~$267.00, the course should be on par with the courses mentioned above. If the fees for visitors were closer to the Kama'aina rates $95 plus tax, it would be more palatable. Some of the staff were helpful and some were down right rude. That's what put me off the most. I guess one rude person can affect a persons perspective as to the entire experience and maybe that's what it was for me. Also as my visit was on a Tuesday, they made us begin on 10, and not the #1 hole. So we weren't able to play the course as it was designed. There reasoning was they were working on the front 9, but golfers were already playing on all holes for the course, so it was a weak argument. That combined with being cheapskates with range balls. They give one small bucket of about 20ish balls and want more $'s if a person wants to hit more balls prior to tee'ing off. For what this course costs. Range balls should be gratis. Fortunately I was paired with some fun folks and we forgot about the s..t attitudes of people at the club helping us get started. And had a good overall experience. The attitudes of staff are the primary reason for this review, and how over stated the course is. I still am giving them 3-stars, so as not to hammer them on what they do right. I will play there again, but I'll be more thoughtful about which day and time I play the course.

Yelp
While staying at Aulani, I decided to play golf which is just a few minutes' walk from Aulani. They have a promo wherein if you book early, you get $50 off the course rate and a 50% discount on renting their clubs. I booked early but had to change my tee time in the afternoon. Once I checked in, the golf shop gave me a twilight rate however I had to pay the regular rental fee for the clubs. The price ended up cheaper so I'm glad about the accommodations. The golf cart has an ice box with a couple of water bottles. They also gave me 2 sleeves of Taylor Made golf balls and several tees. It also has a GPS for your yardage. The golf course is well-manicured and the fairways are wide and well-maintained. The greens are also nice and soft. I teed off on the white tees and some of the par 4 are more than 400 yards. The par 5 is at least 500 yards. The par 3 is anywhere from 170-225 yards. If you're not a long-hitter, this is a very challenging course. The greens are not flat and you've to read the greens for the slope and elevation. Also, there are bunkers around all of the greens I enjoyed this course and used golf management to give me a good score or at least aim for par on every hole. If you're in Oahu, give this place a try to play your favorite sport.

Yelp
Went to Koolina golf club because it was one of the few golf courses I haven't played in Oahu. This is the site of the Lotte LPGA tournament. First off, they are pretty strict about viewing your ID to make sure you are a resident. Even though I was paying for 2 and had shown my ID, they wanted to see the other player's ID which was my son LOL. After check in the starter was friendly and told us what cart to take and who I would be playing with. Yes, at Koolina they pair you with another player(s). Usually other courses will let you play by yourself, but at Koolina you are grouped with other players. The reason will become evident later. After our introduction to the other players, we head to the tee; in this case the 10th hole. As soon as we get there the paired group tells us to "go ahead". They also point to our tee (which we don't think much about). We tee off and are on our way. The first thing that comes to mind for me, is that this hole seems long. Anyway, after thrashing about, losing a ball, 3 putting, I am done with the hole and decide not to keep a score with the way I am playing. I only came here to enjoy the round anyway and keeping score is a GREAT WAY to make yourself MAD! So the round continues and at some point I realize that every par 3 is at least 199 yards - round that off to 200. Now this kind of sucks because the wind is strong. All kinds of weird things start happening, the ball is not traveling as far and it is being pushed by the wind. To top the weird thing off, a chicken jumps into the cart. WHAT??? A CHICKEN????!!!! I am not kidding. This chicken flies up and jumps into the cart! Not only that, there's no way to get the chicken out. The chicken rides with us for a few holes before I decide to coax it out. I find a few snacks and feed the chicken and then cleverly makes sure the chicken notices I have tossed a morsel on the ground. Problem solved as the chicken jumps out and starts eating the meal. More suffering due to the wrong tees occurs. Of course it doesn't bother my son who was on the UH golf team and can hit his iron farther than my driver. But pain is evident as I suffer making double bogie after double and when I do have the chance to make pars, I miss 3 footers high or low. Arggggh. The course kind of reminds me of Waikele golf course. Much of the beauty of this course is actually on the outside looking in. Once you are in, it's a relatively normal course. At the turn we grab food but they are mostly out of things so we settle for whatever they have, like 1 hot dog and a turkey sandwich. We continue on...... The second half is played much slower..... the pace of play is super slow and we wait on every tee.... When pace of play is slow your body stiffens, your timing goes out the window and all you think about is.... Please hurry. But it's not the fault of the people in front - it's the group in front of them that is slow.... All carts should be in at 6p and we get to the 18th at 5:40p which is perfect. The group behind me loses patience and leaves, but not before watching me top my ball, having it fly right into the water making a big splash!!!! I proceed to 3 putt the last green and call it a day! There goes $130! Yep, golf is expensive and takes a huge amount of time. Oh well.
google avatar

Yelp
What an enjoyable course! This resort course is absolutely wonderful! The staff is super friendly. The course is very well designed. They give you big plastic souvenir cups at the start and there is an ice machine and filtered water to keep you cool. The driving range is right next to the first tee so you can walk up and hit a few balls before starting your round. The course is beautiful! Many water features, most of which don't come into play but are really nice to look at. The course is not that challenging and doesn't play too long from the tips but it is just challenging enough and a lot of fun! The driving range is grass not mats which is a huge plus. Roy's is the course restaurant and it is a great spot to have a drink and appetizers after your round as it overlooks the beautiful 18th hole. The staff at the snack bar at the turn was rude and had a bad attitude but other than that it was a near perfect day. I highly recommend playing this course you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I played here on VALENTINE DAY, with a little light rain, played a GREAT ROUND of GOLF! Would recommend this to any golfer looking to play golf in HAWAII! ‍‍
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
A very nice course and no Marshal regulating players. Also, have not seen the drink cart come by as well. Very expensive to play 18. Club rental was $78?!? So it can cost you around $300 to play... Most staff are nice and friendly. Having Roy's restaurant next to the course is a plus.

Mara S.

Yelp
This place beautiful golf course ...there over charging on your own cart for 40$ it's insane just be aware ...just saying

Johan A.

Yelp
They let me take my 12-lb Yorkshire terrier along in my power cart. Their only request was that the dog was leashed and stayed near the cart. Friendly staff.
google avatar

Taryn L.

Yelp
Hands down...one of the most beautiful courses on Oahu and it is my favorite course to play, so far. Many famous professional golfers play here as the LPGA's Lotte Tournament is typically held here. While it is a challenging course, it is a beautiful course that makes every dollar of the green fee worth it. Besides being a great course to play, with some iconic holes including Hole 10 that has a hidden Mickey as a sand trap (this course is next to Aulani, Disney's timeshare hotel on Oahu), they treat the players well; each golfer gets a bottle water and a cup. While this may not seem like a big deal, most courses give nothing else when you play, so I always found this to be a nice touch. Additionally, their golf carts are high tech where it not only uses GPS to tell you your yardage, you can also order food from the snack shop thru the cart and the food will be delivered to you. Amazing! It's all these small details that make Koolina stand out.

GK M.

Yelp
Outstanding and friendly service! Great course! The fairways and greens were excellently maintained.

Joe C.

Yelp
This is flat out a great course that is well maintained. But, it's inexcusable to play a round in over five hours when it can be avoided. The Marshall didn't getpeople to move faster. The golf might be worth the price, but the pace makes it so it is not worth the price.
google avatar

Maynard M.

Yelp
I really wanted to play at a nice course. This was a super nice course. Conditions were on point and service as well. Being a tourist, I gladly paid the fee +wife and son to ride along. Got tees, water bottles in the cooler, souvenir cups, cold towel after the round and had the employees clean my clubs. It wasn't amazing but a good experience. Actually played in a threesome and our group finished around 4 hours. The course is pretty entertaining, challenging and the putting greens were weird lol in a good way. The practice facility is nice and starters were always in a great mood! Was it worth it??? I probably could have played 2.5 rounds on a few fine courses in California. Might have to apply for a fake Hawaii ID. Smh lol.

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Beautiful course no doubt. Service is pretty good, just depends who you encounter. For sure overpriced to take advantage of tourists. The only big issue I encountered was on hole 1 which is directly adjacent to the range. On the fairway at 235 yards from the white tees that day, that was about 190 from the range boxes. I got hit in the back by a slice ball in flight. There were many other range balls on the left half of the fairway. Aim for the right side of the fairway! Course needs a greater separation or barrier between the range and fairways.
google avatar

Yelp
Went to KoOlina for the first time. The WORST first impression ever. The WORST customer service. They paired a random person with us. The man was very nice. They made us ride with him instead of giving us our own cart. So they told us it's $15 to have your own cart. We go to pay, and they tell us it's $30. I talked to the starter office and tried to explain and understand why we need to pay for a cart when it's included in our green fee. NO APOLOGY!!! Nothing. Just basically arguing with me the policy and that it says it online. Just so disrespectful. Idk what kind of people are running this company, no wonder the LOTTE isn't there anymore. Not to mention. Our cart died at the 15th hole. The cart that we paid for. And everyone in back of us playing were all 2 players. I don't know why they couldn't pair him up with them. Don't waste your time and money to play here. Kapolei golf course is way better than this place and customer service is soooo nice. They are respectful and nice to everyone. ( locals and tourist). Koolina is only for Tourist. Gave this a 1 star for the guys who collect the carts after your game. They clean your clubs and give a nice fresh cool towel. Thank you!! That 1 star is for them, with them, I wish I could rate them NO stars. First and last time at this course. Kapolei, Mililani and Waikele is better than this place!!! No aloha for the locals here!

Yelp
Immediately we were very impressed with the staff. Normally a good staff is very friendly or very professional. Ko Olina Club's people were both! As great as they were their excellent performance was soon pushed out of our minds by the beauty of the course it self. Absolutely stunning corse. The greens are amazing and freakin' hard. The only negative would be all the divots the bloody tourists, like me, hacked out of the gorgeous fairways. Again I am very sorry I replaced all I could and re-seeded the rest.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
Played here a couple times while in Hawaii. Course is incredibly average- definitely recommend Turtle bay over this course (same price too). Over priced course for what you pay. Worst part is there never ending spam they send you via email. I have unsubscribed 5 times yet they still spam me almost daily. Desperate marketing never works.

jason i.

Yelp
Excellent service from the time you park and check-in to the time you depart. The staff really make sure that you enjoy yourself. The rental clubs are in great shape and the course is on top condition. The staff are friendly and proactive in assisting your every need!! Awesome job to the Koolina leadership and pros!

Trevor A.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience here. The staff were all wonderful. The course was in fantastic shape. The grass range was great. The pace of play was reasonable. I'll visit again the next time I'm on Oahu.

Stewart M.

Yelp
We were staying at the Aluani hotel and decided to play the Ko Olina golf course. across the street. Check-in was easy, and the golf staff is very friendly. We had a tee time paired with 2 other people, but there was room on the course, so they allowed us to tee off as a 2some. The course is in great condition, and the greens were putting true. The player assistant was very helpful, bringing additional water and taking the time to take photos of us on the course. We also went to Roy's, which is next to the clubhouse, for Aloha hour after the round. Everything we ordered was very good, and ribs and spring rolls were outstanding.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Nice resort course. Pretty straightforward layout. Staff was good. Limited snack bar. Pace of play was slow. Price commensurate with other courses on the island.
google avatar

Pete P.

Yelp
Amazing, gorgeous golf course! And quite a difficult round, too - lots of rolling hills, tricky greens, and beautiful water ponds that will snatch your ball from the hands of victory if you're not careful. The staff are all very friendly and eager to talk golf if you wish to engage them. The carts are very cool, with GPS tracking and yardage information as you approach every hole. They give you free water, a free take home cup, as well as tees, balls, and some great, TaylorMade clubs to rent if you need them. I loved using the Stealth driver at their range and on the course - the drives were my favorite part of the round. Post round drinks at Roy's was also a blast. I can't recommend this course highly enough; it's a must visit for golfers visiting O'ahu!

Yelp
First of all, the three stars is not indicative of the condition of the course. The course is GORGEOUS and in PHENOMENAL shape. The pro shop, eatery, driving range, grounds - all top shelf. The marshal, who followed my foursome around all day, and the outrageous remarks he made...THAT is the reason for my three star review. Edit: Golf Course Overall Condition - 5 stars Experience - 4 Stars Marshal (Player Assistant) - 1 star Overall: 3 stars I'm a resident of Hawaii, so I did not have to pay the hefty greens fees - and thank God I didn't. My tee time was 8:40 on Sunday, April 3rd. My foursome, a group of speedy players, was behind another foursome - who were not speedy players. THREE times, in an 18-hole round, an older man (I should've asked for his name) - in the role of "Player Assistant" felt the need to tell me that I should be 'pushing the group ahead of me, because they are playing slow.' I told him, three times, that I can only go as fast as the group ahead of me - and that it is his job to go and tell them to pick up the pace. I'll be damned if I crank a drive off the tee box while the group in front of me is still in the fairway...within driving distance. That would be rude of me. He basically told us to "drive up on them - to push them along." I'm sorry, but that's YOUR job. I'm the player. You're the marshal. Unhappy with pace of play? Get to the root of the problem. Long story short. You don't pay to play golf, to get chastised by the "Player Assistant" for playing too slow...when the group ahead of you is the reason you're playing "slow." Of note, playing "slow" to this particular marshal...was 12 minutes off pace. Based on it being 12min off pace, I did not feel comfortable asking the group ahead of me if we could play through. Maybe if I was alone, or in a twosome...I'd ask a foursome ahead of me if I could play through - but for a foursome to ask another foursome to play through is ridiculous. All over Ko'Olina Golf Club, there are signs that allude to the pace of play. My foursome finished in 4 hours and 35min (including a five minute stop at the snack bar at the turn). I won't go back. Having a marshal up my ass for 18 holes of expensive golf did nothing but royally piss me off. Thanks for that.

Yelp
A golf club I play with went there and had a very good time. First time for me so was excited about seeing the course and playing it. It lived up to my expectations. It's a very nice course and it's well maintained. It's a little more costly than most courses but it's well kept and carts seems newer. Worth the price of admission. M Covid cleaning and social distancing enforced so felt very safe. Will definitely make it back to play again but probably more for special occasions and once or twice a year. Cost is a Factor.

Yelp
Celebrated my 8 year old grandsons birthday, with 2 4 somes, this past Sunday. It was beautiful day, the staff friendly and helpful. Loved the fact that kids play for FREE after 3pm on Sundays. It was an amazing day with the family.

Yelp
The whole experience was great! Well stocked pro shop too. The staff from the guys inside the pro shop to the starter and the course advisors were friendly and helpful. The greens were in beautiful shape and the fairways perfect. Highly recommend this course.

Yelp
I've been playing golf at this beautiful course every year for the past 17 years! I've also taken a few lessons here and obviously played countless rounds of golf with friends and family. I hope to that my experience the last few days is not a true sample of what I should come to expect in the future and that the folks who work at this club will find a way to rectify their poor service that was once world class. One example: please retrain or move the gentleman who provided range balls today to a new role where he doesn't deal with customers. He is not friendly. He gave me a half filled bucket of balls at 5:10 pm and when I kindly asked him to fill the bucket higher he added about 25 more balls and said "we close at 6:00 and so you have to be done by 6:00 pm!" Okay, I can do that...but why the terrible attitude. I just paid 12 bucks for a bucket of balls and was planning to play a round later in the week. I think I'd rather spend my money at Kapolei golf course just down the road. All it takes is one or two bad apples to ruin your reputation and relationship with loyal customers.

Yelp
Excellent service. Beautiful course. Drive range is very cheap. Just hitting the ball with these beautiful settings reduces the stress.

Yelp
THE COURSE: Beautifully groomed, well kept. Total yardage ~6,800 from tips, several drivable par 4's and gettable par 5's. I am from Northern CA and am used to playing bent grass - these greens were a little different; Wide-bladed grass which was different. Too many 2-putts but that was due to my lack of experience with the green type. They were moderately quick down grain, even up hill/down grain putts were quick. The fairways and tee boxes were very well groomed. THE STAFF: Very friendly and accommodating. I forgot a golf towel and the starter ran and retrieved one for me.

Yelp
Prior to 2020, we rarely played golf out at Ko Olina, arguably the best layout on Oahu, mainly because of the cost. We felt they really didn't cater to the locals, and focused more on tourists. We can understand that; the fees paid by non-locals is significantly more but times like we've experienced in 2020 must have shown the club that they need to balance local versus tourist play to level out their income stream. With the advent of their $65 weekday special for Kamaaina, a couple of co-workers and I played nine times since August and will try to fit in one more round before the end of 2020. We'd probably have played more if we could but we all still work. The condition of the course is great ... I just wish the greens were a little faster. Yes, I acknowledge that the winds, if up, can make fast greens almost unplayable but it's a personal preference. Other than cost of green fees, the place is great. Their pro shop is the best organized and stocked shop for apparel and accessories on Oahu and perhaps in Hawaii. Service by the staff is great too. And, there is Roy's next door for drinks and appetizers (or more) after your round.

Yelp
I came here on a weekday with my dad to celebrate his birthday. It was both of our 1st times coming here so we did not know what to expect. I made our reservations online a few weeks prior because the time slots fill up pretty quickly. Staff: The staff is very helpful and friendly. When we first arrived we weren't sure where to go, but one of the workers asked if they could help us and they dIrected is where to go and even took our golf bags for us. After we checked in we saw our golf bags were already been put on to our cart for us. Tip: get there early, because you can get free driving range balls to warm up with prior to your tee time. Course: The course is beautiful yet difficult, but who doesn't like a challenge! I would not recommend brand new golfers coming here. I'm not saying I'm a good golfer, but at least wait until you can control your shots. Amenities: The golf cart was very nice. It has gps tracking, a water cooler with ice and complementary bottle of water, hand towel, souvenir cup, tees, divet tool and a ball marker. Price: Kamaa'aina is $85, and non resident is like $225 I think? You can make reservations online which makes it easy and convenient. Parking: The same parking lot that Roy's customers use. Plenty of parking! All in all I really enjoyed playing at this course and if you can afford it I would highly recommend coming here at least once.

Yelp
We don't get to play KoOlina that often. The biggest reason is the price. It hovers just under the $100 mark for kama'aina but it's still usually booked solid on the weekends. This course has hosted LPGA tournaments for several seasons and for good reason. The fairways are very well manicured and the greens are flawless! No surprise bumps or inconsistencies. Ball rolls really true! Black swans reside on a few ponds , and while they are beautiful and majestic birds, they can be pretty menacing: don't get too close to them! If you ball ends up near one, hope and pray that it's not mad at you for anything! ( I get a sandwich from the snack bar and save the bread crust to distract them while I make my shot and make a run for it!) The course is challenging as it is beautiful with or without the swans. Wind, as in any course on the islands, have been taken into consideration when the course was being built. Some of the long holes seem extra long when you're playing in 25-30mph trades. It's a treat every time we come out here so I'm compelled to get a logo item at their club house, which offer a great selection of golf wear, bags, towels and clubs. The ladybug logo is especially popular with women, as it adds a cutesy touch while maintaining class. Renown chef Roy Yamaguchi has a restaurant on premise that serves after-golf pupus or a full - on-dinner. A great, enjoyable course, I rate it five out of five.

Yelp
The grounds crew here does a phenomenal job at keeping up on the fairways, greens, etc. most courses here on Oahu (including the world renowned Turtle Bay) have no discernible fairway/rough/deep rough separation while Ko'olina has just that. My only real complaint is the shear number of people that live at the houses surrounding the course. It is EXTREMELY annoying to have to wait for random people walking across the fairways to get to their houses when you pay so much to play here. Four times I had to wait to take my shot because people just walk willy-nilly across the course like they own it, DESPITE all of the signs that forbid them from doing so. I feel like this is something that really needs to be enforced. Aside from that, the course is beautiful, very challenging and fun to play. Will definitely be back to play again. Big kudos to the grounds team though. Hands down, the best kept course on Oahu. Worth the price.
