"The Fairmont Kea Lani is one of the most visually striking resorts in Wailea, and its signature restaurant adds to this out-of-time feeling, especially at night, when the ocean breezes lull guests into a blissful state of happiness. Kō executive chef Jonathan Pasion, a Maui native, has put together a plantation-era style menu that reflects the immigrant culture of Hawaii and demonstrates the culinary influences of Chinese, Filipino, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, and Hawaiians. The menu is not broken down into starters and entrees, but rather “mo’ono”, delicious and favorable small plates; “pupu”, appetizers; “lawai’a”, fresh catch served in two different ways; “makai”, from the sea; and “mauka”, from the land. With rich options in each category, it’s possible to have one mo’ono and one pupu and be completely satisfied, and everything is made with the freshest seafood, meats, and  local produce. A few standouts are the coconut curry soup, the fresh catch served in the lemongrass coconut broth, the lobster tempura and the crispy pork shank. If you have room for dessert, opt for the Maui take on a cheesecake, which is slightly deconstructed and made with a toasted coconut-graham cracker crust." - Juliana Shallcross, Kris Fordham

Celebrated our wedding anniversary & mentioned it multiple times to the front of house greeter to multiple server. Only 1 server i remembered his name was Roland, he provided excellent customer service and very attentive to our needs. They offer kama'aina on entire bill. Not going to let it ruin our night after seeing two tables getting cake with candle light & we paid for our desserts. At end of night our female server said, I over heard were celebrating an anniversary when I said happy wedding anniversary multiple times and our multiple servers wished us happy anniversary. She explained that we give free cookies for anniversaries & i can box it up for you, I kindly declined it because the desserts we got was already sweer for me. Plenty powdered sugar. She apologize & said open tables been messing up for us but it's ok, we paid for our two desserts and didnt book on opentables, I just wanted the open space on the plate to be handwritten "Hau'oli lā Ho'omana'o" or happy wedding anniversary. Overall, service is to be expected but communication from calling in reservations a week in advance for making the dinner reservations to calling in again the day of and confirming we are coming to celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary. It just didn't give me the wow factor. But thank you for dinner.

I don’t say this lightly, but this restaurant serves some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. The crispy shrimp appetizer is one of the big things they are known for and it is definitely worth getting. It’s an island take on the Chinese honey walnut shrimp dish, but with a lighter, yet still crunchy, batter they use and with macadamia nuts rather than the traditional walnuts. The octopus appetizer was unforgettable, and I will get this every single time I am here. It is the the perfect balance between flavor, texture, and decadence. I wanted to lick the bowl afterwards. For the entrees, my wife got the Seafood Lau Lau which was excellent. It was a good amount of seafood medley poached in a coconut sauce. The pico and purple mashed potatoes it came with paired well with it. The star of the night was the fish and lobster special I had. Individually each of the components could have been an all star meal. Combined, they were a Michelin level dish. A perfected seasoned and grilled fish on a bed of bok choy with the perfectly cooked mushroom risotto and pieces of lobster. I will be dreaming of this dish for days to come. Our server, Misty, made all of the recommendations for us. She is amazing and you will have a great experience if she if your server as well. We look foreword at being back again soon.

Loved our anniversary dinner at Ko. I agonized over where to go because I struggle with feeling like fine dining is really worth the price tag. At one point I had reservations at 4 different restaurants! But I'm glad we settled on Ko. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a card for our anniversary! We each got a different fish preparation and both were awesome and tasted fresh. And don't forget to order the banana bread dessert. It was SO YUMMY!!

Excellent service! Our waiter was so friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. The food was really good as well. We ordered two of the ahi cook on the rock appetizer because it was so good. We liked it better than our entrée which was the fish of the day. It was good, we just thought the appetizer was more fun and flavorful. The atmosphere was just okay, sort of tucked into a weird corner of the resort with no view. Although we both enjoyed our meal, we wished we had eaten at a restaurant with a better view so if this is important to you, I'd probably check out one of their other restaurants.

The Very Best Place we are at in Maui! Everything was awesome from the beginning to the end. We informed the restaurant it was our honeymoon so they added cute little heart sticks on our food and added a “congratulations” plate on our desert. Service is what we appreciated the most: Christina was our server and she really stood out: got everything as we wanted (share plates) she walked us through the menu and really was in a great celebrating need with us! We really appreciated it! We met the manager he was super nice as well! Food is beyond delicious: food was absolutely incredible and matches the standards of the best restaurants in Europe or the US. We live sur so much we came back to try the lobster on our last night! Don’t miss it! It’s really worth it! Thanks to the whole team for making us feel so special for our celebration.

We are so glad we went there to celebrate our anniversary there , they were very accommodating changing our reservation time as our flight was delayed .the food and service was amazing . They had a separate vegetarian menu with very good options to choose from - we got the grilled tofu dish and the noodles and both were amazing . The desserts we got were the koka puff and the molten cake and both were really good . At the end they gave us a card signed by all the staff there . The sunset views from the Fairmont property are not to be missed . Highly recommend this place !

Great atmosphere and service was excellent. Only challenge is the food at the coat per plate. Ad vegan options go, the curry and udon noodles were good but very light on the tofu and veggies. While it was good, with all the other vegan options around it's not a destination vegan food spot. However, it will do if you're with diners who are not vegan.

Incredible food, amazing staff. Ahi on the rocks is a must! The lavender shrimp was great as well as the sushi roll.
