The apartments are located in the city center and just 5 minutes away from the local parking. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for the stay, the hosts even provide towels for the beach. We could also enjoy a little patio, nicely prepared with benches and a shade were we chilled with a nice drink. The hosts were very friendly I'm happy to help with everything we needed. Totally recommended.

A very pretty and stylishly decorated apartment. |The courtyard garden is lovely with beautiful cacti and a nice shaded area. It is very quiet for sleeping despite being very centrally located a couple of minutes from the main church Square.|There are plentiful coffee pods. Fruit/ pastries and water are provided. Flat is clean and plenty of towels including separate beach towels. Friendly staff and key pick up worked well.|The disadvantages are as follows.|It is not really suitable for anyone with mobility/ frailty issues. The flat is on several levels with some really tricky steps to the garden area and even more difficult steps to the roof terrace. The bed was comfortable and big but on a raised platform above a seating area. Really difficult for me to climb in and out of with an arthritic knee.|Also the flat is in a tiny alley- which is good for being really quiet. But it is too small for any car/ taxi. Our taxi driver from La Linea could not find it on Sat Nav and we had to walk 200 yards with our luggage. Similar issues on leaving.

Overpriced and bad quality of rooms. First of all the services friendly and welcoming. Also location is central. But what do you expect from a hotel room? A nice bed and decent bathroom. Neither of it will get. The bed is 120 cm wide and the mattress very old. When you lay on the mattress feels like you lay in a ditch. Impossible to sleep here as two people. It’s also impossible to use the bathroom when you are two people in the room. The bathroom does have a door, but not a ceiling. So The other person in the room can hear and smell everything. Lastly, it was about 16 degrees in the room at night. The heater was turned on full whack, but did not manage to heat up the room. Even though the room is very very small. Another point of critique, it’s impossible to manage two suitcases in here. For even cheaper price there is much better offers in Tarifa. The pictures might not look as nice but what you get in reality will be much nicer!

Cute hostel. The room I stayed in had a shared private garden which was lovely. The host was quite nice and helpful. My only complaint is that there was no water available even for purchase. I am from the US and try not to drink the tap water in Europe because it makes me sick so it would be great if there was bottled water. Also FYI they provide bread butter and milk in the morning but that’s it so if you want a large included bfast look elsewhere.

Bjorn and Marta were unbelievable hosts, warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was beautiful with lots of little personal touches, including beautiful lavender growing outside our window. Koala is ideally located to an array of amazing restaurants which Bjorn & Marta are only happy to advise and recommend suited to your tastes.

***Warning: potential bed bugs!*** Unfortunately our experience didn't match the good reviews we read here and elsewhere. A combination of weird bites(probably bed bugs), clogged bathtub sink , impolite and unprofessional assistance manager and the absence of staff after 5:00 PM forced us to leave one day earlier than our original plan. First of all the tub sink easily get clogged, we had been told it's because of the sand we brought from the beach! But the real problem started when we informed the management we experienced constant bites during nights, one of us had clear red bite marks all over her body. And this starts to happen only whenever somebody lies in the bed! The manager forwarded us to the owner, who also owns another hotel. We had been asked to go and meet the owner in her other property, but we met her assistance. Probably the most unprofessional person in hospitality industry in the western hemisphere. He was quite impolite and rude to us. Telling us that he have no reason to believe us and making hints we might be doing this to cut costs. That was after bullying us and hinting that the bites might be related to something that jumped to our clothes when we were in the wild or in another hotel! And then he offered us to change hotel and take a room in their other hotel or leave without getting a refund. Of course after the insults it was impossible to stay at any of their hotels. So we had chosen to leave and not to take the risk of staying in another infested room

Simply: WOW. I stayed here a year ago and the service was outstanding. The rooms were wonderful and the hidden backyard was great to sit, relax and get some work done. If I am ever in Tarifa again, I will stay at this place.

This is not a real hotel: ran by English-Spanish couple----remotely. When we arrived hotel, door was closed, and nobody answers. The neighbor told me that I have call the couple, have them come to open the door. The man came 30 minute after I made a phone call. He opened the door for us---and that's it. We were our own, no staffs, nobody in this very hidden and hard-to-find building they claim "Four Star" hotel. This is actually an apartment, should be listed on Airbnb instead of Expedia or Travelocity website, it's very misleading. If I known real fact of this so called hotel, I wouldn't book it. ||The man told me he will bring me breakfast next morning at 8:30 AM, but I waited until 9:30 AM, he still didn't show up, so I called, the lady picked up, and was very upset because I was calling such "early morning". I told her this is not a breakfast, this is lunch. Fifteen minute later, the lady knocked my door, and call me "rude" to make such a phone call in "early morning". I apologized, told her that as an American, we don't see 9:30 AM as "early morning", she then left a plastic bag on the floor and left with obvious anger.||It was totally an unpleasant experience. I would not recommend this "hotel" to anyone. It's sit in a very hidden and narrow alley that car can't go in. You have to walk at least 15 minute to a major street where you can stop a taxi. Find somewhere else.
