Koala Court Holiday Apartments

This place is a quaint, unique property run by husband and wife. It's simple, clean, and has everything you should need to cook, sleep, and relax. Short walk to Esplanade and 25 min walk to the heart of town. The balcony was nice for morning coffee. Unit 5 was great. I would stay again if traveling back to Cairns.

We had an amazing stay at Koala Court Holiday Apartments! The space was comfortable and well-maintained, providing everything we needed for a relaxing time. A special mention goes to John and the lady at the reception – their kindness and professionalism were exceptional. They helped us with every detail and made us feel truly welcome. We felt at home and incredibly well accommodated. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay in Cairns!

Perfect location for exploring the Coral coast and rain forest. Fantastic host who even helped with a booking made from the UK on the scenic railway. Nothing was too much trouble to make our stay at the Koala Court a thoroughly memorable holiday.

Absolutely amazing experience in Koala court apartment…I stayed with my partner and friend couple. There were two bed rooms, shared kitchen with fully equipped, and shared both room. We were happy with the cleanliness. Kitchen has everything we needed. The fridge, microwave, even oven, and all small items. The location is not as convenient as the hotels by the beach, but we really enjoyed walking to the city every morning. 20-30 minutes by walk, 5-8 minutes to Airport by Uber. The hosts are beautiful people. We felt so welcomed. Thank you so much and we definitely will come again.

The flight was early so I was prepared for a wait before I could access my room at Koala Court. While still at the airport I received an SMS from John about accessing the keys, so I crossed my fingers and asked about an early check-in. I was lucky that the previous occupants had checked out early and the cleaner was just finishing the floor, so I could catch a cab direct to the hotel and start my stay.|This trip was a mix of business and pleasure, so I appreciated the quiet room and handy access to bus stops for trips into the centre of Cairns (which can also be easily walked) as well as north to Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. |When I spoke to Noutekh about (a) extending my stay (b) transfer to airport and (c) returning for an extended stay in a few weeks, she was totally awesome in making these things happen.|Koala Court isn't five star, but it's great value for money. Above all else, it's the friendly service that counts more than anything else.

We stayed here for a total of 9 nights. Six nights then 3 nights, with a 9 day tour in between. We stayed in two different apartments. Both apartments were very clean and well maintained, each with different furnishings because of the different ownership, but each well furnished. Both had comfortable beds and all the necessary items for self-catering. The grounds and pool were well maintained, although we didn’t use the latter because of the cooler weather we experienced. The apartments are about 1.7 km from the Cairns Central shopping centre, which is walkable and about the same distance to the Esplanade shopping area. All are walkable, but having a car is an advantage. Secure covered parking is available with a coded gate. There is road noise, particularly at peak times, but it is not intrusive with the windows closed and is quiet at night. The occasional train and aeroplane is heard, but also are not intrusive. The Managers John and Noutekh were friendly and very helpful and accommodating, particularly with assistance during our break between the stays. Definitely value for money. It was a very pleasant place to stay.

Brilliant accommodation in 3 bedroom apartment. Spacious and clean with plenty of aircon in each room. Managers were above and beyond helpful. We were even able to park our large car and boat in the grounds. Had to cancel due to cyclone and then re-book. None of that was a problem for them. We even stayed an extra night. Will definitely stay again.

This is a must stay holiday resort. My family and I stayed at Koala courts for a span of 3 weeks and we had a lovely time. The hosts are very accommodating, friendly and caring people. They keep the rooms and outer areas very clean. I would 100% recommend Koala courts to anyone coming to Cairns. The hosts make you feel right at home.

I visited in July of 2011 and had a great time. The owners are genuinely nice people who will help you with their knowledge of the area. The apartments were clean and large. Ours was a 2 bedroom, one bath with full kitchen and washer/dryer.There is also a small pool on the property but we didn't have time to use it. If I had any complaint it would be that the one air conditioner in the large bedroom was a bit too loud. The Koala Court is within walking distance of the Esplanade, but it's a good 20 minute walk. I would recommend walking down, then taking a cab back. If I ever make it back to Cairns, I won't hesitate to stay there again.
