I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kobe Beef Daichi in Motomachidōri, Kobe, and it was truly an unforgettable culinary experience! From start to finish, everything was exceptional—the ambiance blended authentic Japanese elegance with warm, welcoming hospitality. But what really elevated the evening was our chef, Oji. Chef Oji’s skill, attention to detail, and passion for her craft made all the difference. She gracefully prepared our meal—each step felt like an art performance as much as a dinner service. The way she seared the Kobe beef, brought out the flavors, and guided us through each course was both mesmerizing and deeply personal. Each bite was a revelation—rich, melt-in-your-mouth beef with perfectly balanced seasoning, paired with thoughtfully selected sides and accompaniments. Chef Oji even took the time to explain the origin of the beef, her cooking techniques, and how to best appreciate the textures and flavors. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and artistry made us feel more than just guests—she treated us like honored friends. If you’re looking for a standout dining experience in Kobe, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this restaurant—and specifically asking for Chef Oji’s table. It’s rare to find such a combination of top-tier cuisine and genuine, heartfelt service. We’ll remember this night for a long time to come. The best establishment to have and experience Kobe beef! The staff is very welcoming and very attentive to your needs especially when it comes to any allergies you may have. Our chef, Maru was excellent and cooked our meat selection to perfection! The meats were tender, and full of flavor. Truly a gem. Oishi!!!

Dining at Daichi was one of the highlights of my trip to Kobe. The experience was elevated by the incredible live cooking performance by Chef Maru, who turned lunch into a personal, memorable event. The restaurant has a warm and elegant atmosphere, and we were seated at the teppanyaki counter where Chef Maru prepared our meal right in front of us. He introduced each cut of Kobe beef, and cooked with absolute precision and calm confidence. Watching him grill the beef was mesmerizing — a true master at work. The beef itself was extraordinary: buttery, tender, full of umami, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite melted in the mouth. The full course included beautiful appetizers, grilled vegetables — all plated with care and balance. If you're visiting Kobe and want a true Kobe beef experience, Daichi is a must. Book a seat at the counter and, if you're lucky enough to have Chef Maru, prepare for a truly special meal.

Beef was amazing! Very tasty and chewy. Even the vegetables were cooked well. Tanaka-san was our chef and did a great job cooking our food and guiding us. Would recommend to others to try this out.

Went to this restaurant based on high Tabelog rating and was serviced by the most smiley and friendly Mr Eiji Otsuka. Not only did he served us nicely cooked, juicy and flavourful beef, he also took pictures for us without us asking. He also tried his best to arrange the food in the most appealing way for us in case we would like to snap pictures for memory. Highly recommended!

This was our first real Kobe beef experience in Japan (beyond the food stalls in Kuromon market), and it was a fantastic choice. We had the 165gram Wagyu Top sirloin set each, along with a glass of premium sake and a Kobe red wine (surprisingly delicious). Beyond the steak being absolutely melt-in-your-mouth, our chef Oji was an amazing grill host. She made us feel at home and special! Thank you for a great experience!

We visited Kobe Beef Daichi for lunch, the service was amazing. All staff were very friendly. We were served and taken care of by Hitoshi Tanaka. Mr Tanaka took great care and pride in delivering an outstanding meal.

Fantastic place and amazing meat. We tried the Kobe Sirloin, Châteaubriant and Fillet. Chef Maruoka was very kind, professional, skillful and very attentive to his craft and very helpful with recommendations of pairing the different elements of our meal. Highly recommend!
