Kobop

Food is consistently amazing. We were homesick for our Korean fusion food truck in Raleigh and found Kobop and haven't looked back since. $35 platter fed two adults and a (non picky) kid with enough leftovers for a small lunch portion.

What a yummy treat to have Kobop available inside Vasen Brewery in Forest Hill. The tacos and bao buns were tasty and phenomenal- great protein ratio for the price. Perfect pairing to go with Vasen's offerings.

So, first and foremost, let me save you the time if you are looking for this place.....it isn't a brick and mortar store. It is a food truck behind Buskey Cider. I placed my order online at 5:51 pm and the pickup time said 6:06. I actually got there around 6:10. Food was not made. Saw other walk up and easily get their to go orders....10 mins go by....then another 10. I have patience bc I know they are new and are working things out. Order finally ready and no pudding left.....of course I want a refund for my almost $8 pudding. 🤷‍♀️ They asked me to reach out to them on Insta but I just want my refund. Having been in customer service, that is a big no no....just give the customer a refund if there is no dessert substitute. I have so far not seen the refund, my bank is still showing $47 some thing. It says cash tendered on the receipt but I never got cash. Also had no more containers left for the $35 plate they offer. It just has a different vibe when you walk out with 3 different containers and no dessert. Don't know how they are going to stay open til 10pm running out of things 5hrs into a shift. As for the food, the dumplings and fries(remind me of the taco bell fries) were good. The birria and baos weren't too good but that is my opinion. The consomme was too fatty and greasy without the rich flavor that you normally think of. Good thinking tho putting it behind a place that is alcohol based, drunk ppl tend to eat anything. Once the kinks are worked out, I'm sure they will be successful in the long run if that is their plan. PS, no refund so rating goes down.

Their signature platter is a great mix of flavors with Korean birria tacos, bao buns, sticky chicken bites, and Nashville fries. The tacos are tender and cheesy, the bao buns are soft and flavorful, and the chicken bites are crispy outside but juicy inside. The Nashville fries are tasty, especially with bulgogi beef, but can be a bit spicy. Overall, it’s a delicious and filling meal that’s worth trying.

The nuggets were amazing! Nice big chunks of meat chicken, great flavors…carried the vibe of the brewery!

Criminally underrated, you must try if you are considering a new food spot!!!! Came in 9/8 amazing food/service. Try there signature platter, you will not be disappointed!!!

I've been going to Kobop since he had the little food truck. The food is really good and my wife and daughter both love the bao buns. The flavors are unique, and the food is best eaten fresh. Some food textures change on the ride home, but still are amazing, in my opinion. I drive about 35 minutes to get to this food, probably once or twice a month, and I've recommended it to several coworkers......so far no misses. I would only say get there early and order ahead, they get packed fast on the weekends and good food takes time. I've spent roughly about 500 dollars on this food so far lmao

Absolutely outstanding! Delicious food (we ordered the sampler platter) and fast service (we waited maybe 10 minutes for our food). We’ll for sure be back!
