In terms of hospitality has to be the worst place I ever stayed, to comic proportions. The hotel was empty but we could not check in early, we were thrown out of the dining room after fifteen minutes even though there were no customers, the vending machine was broken and they refused to help us get our money back and finally we were thrown out of the lobby coffee shop for some unknown explicable reason. Anyone who stays here expect a nightmare. When I complained they smiled and said the manager was unavailable.

The location of the hotel is good and the staff are nice but overall the facilities are quite poor. The bed is uncomfortable and small, pillows are extremely hard and after 3 nights I had a neck ache. They play music in the hallways from 7am-8pm and you can hear it loudly in your room and it makes it difficult to relax between those times. The spaces were clean but everything is old and basic amenities like coffee and water are not provided in the room. Overall it was ok, but because I’m leaving very tired due to poor sleep and with neck pains I can only give it 2 stars.

We drove to this hotel. The parking lot was small and right next to the hotel. You have to leave your car keys at the reception as the staff have to rearrange the cars as it can get quite cramped. ||||In fact you have to return your room keys to the reception also every time you leave the hotel. ||||We booked the tatami room for 4 people. The room is quite cramped and overlooks a small rock garden. There is hardly any space to open up our luggage once the futons are laid out. The toilet was tiny. ||||We did find the laundry and dryer machines very useful. ||||Breakfast was in a small restaurant on the 2nd floor, opposite the laundry room. The buffet spread was adequate and very quickly replenished. Tasty local fare. ||||It was possible to walk to the Hirome Market, 15-20min away.

I stayed here for 4 nights in April. I was in Kochi and this hotel was a reluctant booking. It was difficult to gauge from the website and even the booking came through in complete Japanese. ||I checked in at about 9 pm. No english at the front desk, but surprisingly quick and efficient check in. The smiling receptionist had a card in english to explain what she had to. They were even expecting me and held out a slip with my name as I walked in. Well done! Many large chain hotels would fail to do a check in like that. ||||First impressions of the room was that it was woefully small. The bathroom was a modular unit. My head was 3 inches away from the ceiling in the bathroom. (I'm 185 cm). I wondered how I would live here. This was my first trip to Japan, and I am used to larger rooms.||||Over the next 4 days, I realized how supremely functional the room was for a business traveler. In no way did the bed feel small for my frame. The bedsheets and duvet were of fantastic quality. (Yes, beats a lot of fancy 5 stars). Every little thing in the room was just fine and adequate. Oh, lets not get started about that fancy toilet seat. ||||Breakfast was a bit thin, and for a foreigner, a bit inadequate. ||||The hotel is situated on the main road with several convenience stores nearby. Nightlife and the Kochi Castle are walkable. ||||Check out was also speedy, no fuss at all. ||||I was a bit wary of staying here, i'm glad they were able to change my mind. For the price and service offered... excellent!

A quaint hotel if you are looking for no frills. Small but efficient rooms. Free Wifi. Plenty of plugs conveniently located on desk to charge devices. Comfortable beds. Pillows took a bit of getting used to as they had something unique inside. The breakfast buffet is completely Asian style. The coffee was amazingly good!

On our second family trip to Japan we visit Shikoku and stayed in Kochi for two nights to visit friends in nearby Tosa. The hotel is a short walk from the train station opposite a Family Matt and close to a larger supermarket as well as a post office and Toyota car rental. We stayed in room 310, a quad room for four with futons and a lovely courtyard garden opening from it. Breakfast was included, predominantly Japanese with lovely older ladies preparing and serving. Not much English is spoken but all staff very helpful. A solid family choice.

Super clean, quiet, and comfortable, with professional and friendly staff who were really helpful. We stayed in 4 hotels around Japan on our holiday and the Pacific was our favourite.

Excellent location and easy to find. The staff at the hotel stored my luggage so that I could sight-see until check-in time. An easy walk to the castle, and to the tourist office next to the station for the hop on -hop off bus. The rooms are small, like most Japanese business hotels, but very clean and comfortable.
