Koh Tao Regal Resort

I’ve stayed here a few times now and absolutely love it. It’s very Thailand! On such a small island based a lot around diving - this is a tiny piece of heaven where it’s just hotel / beach and wonderful staff! Room was cleaned every day and bed changed. The swimming pools are also cleaned daily and fresh. Staff are all lovely! Will absolutely be back again next year!

The hotel is in an awesome location. Has a restaurant with a pretty tasty food for a good price, awesome view and is not crowded. Rooms and the gym require some renovation, but considering the location and the price - nothing to complain. They have a shuttle service to the pier when the ferries depart and arrive

Location was good Beach was nice Pool was nice and clean Building and rooms are in bad shape. This was probably a really nice hotel when it was built but it seems very run down and our room smelt really bad. There was also stains on the walls and somethings were falling apart in our room. If you can look past that it’s a good hotel otherwise

I booked this resort from makemytrip. We booked queen size bed but they offered us two single bed room upon enquiring reception girl said we don’t have room with queen size bed. Reception girl said we provide free water and coffee later we come to know only two 600ml water bottle are provided free of cost rest we need to buy water from the restaurant below. Loo water jet was also somewhat different on pressure it works simply outdated. Also shower was not in good shape water was coming from in-between shower not from shower holes. They also mentioned alot of other things on makemytrip website which was not present in the room like telephone to call reception we need to call it from our mobile. Tv was also missing. Linen was yellow in color. Not in clean state. Refrigerator was also not in good state. Balcony lights are not working. Overall worst hotel i have stayed in. Services are also poor. Receptionist was also rude. Only good thing is location nearby beach and pool access.

Worst service at hotel. I booked queen bedroom from makemytrip and they gave me room with single beds. I have showed my booking details online but they say they received request for single bed and they do not have room with queen bed. They joined two bed and there gap in between and side, personal sleeping side may get injured. And we came here to celebrate our anniversary.

Not great value for money; many better options on the island for the budget traveler. Stayed here a few nights with family. WiFi doesn’t work well. Front desk staff are kind but restaurant staff are abysmal: every request is met with a frown, no kindness whatsoever exhibited to patrons. Gym is a joke, mostly broken old equipment. It’s a sloppy operation. It’s clear the hotel manager (if there is one), isn’t doing his/her job. Won’t be returning. Only redeeming feature is its location.

Lovely spot! The breakfast option with room is worth it if you enjoy eggs for breakfast. For me it's essential to get some eggs in with fruit etc so it was perfect. Sairee beach is walking distance to everything! Lovely pool and beach access, we shall be back !

The room is spacious but not very clean. The bedding was dirty/ mouldy and the doors to the balcony did not shut properly so there was always a gap. There was a huge spiders web in the bathroom and the toilet was dirty. Aircon was not very good either. The pool and outside area is lovely and it is right on a beautiful beach but inside is not great.
