Koh Tao Royal Resort

We loved the location. One of the most beautiful beaches at Koh Tao. Direct walkable access to everything. And thank you Jida for welcoming us! You are adaptable and always ready to help. We extended our stay even. The bungalow and the bed sheets must be cleaner. Cleanliness is unfortunately below the standards. We really enjoy this stay! The bungalow are not cleaned enough, but for the rest it was well above our expectations. Thank you Jida for your adaptability!

Loved my stay here. The room has everything we needed including a fridge freezer which was really nice for us. The bed was comfy and the location was great. The beach was gorgeous and we loved sitting on the hammocks there. A 3 minute walk to the dive shop that we used which was amazing. Really lovely place to stay

If you’re looking for something “royal,” this might not be the place. The location is fairly close to the pier, which is convenient when arriving on Koh Tao, but there’s not much to do within walking distance. The area is very quiet, with rooms high in the jungle, giving a peaceful, pastoral vibe. However, the rooms were older bungalows; the mattress was firm and not very comfortable. The bathroom is next to the toilet, so it gets wet with each use. The AC worked very well, and there was hot water, though with low pressure. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but we hardly saw them during our stay. Overall, it was decent, but I think there are better options within this budget.

I rarely saw so unbehaved people as the one at the reception ( maybe they seemed to be owners ). Honestly it was more than deceiving, Thailand is such an amazing country for hospitality. I booked my stay , arrived there and even I gave my name and passeport she said I had no reservation, there was no electricity on the I land due to rain ( no problem about that) so I kindly asked for a torch or candles as my phone had no battery and I could not recharge it since there was no electricity. It seemed I asked for an incredible thing and she almost throw the torch on me. They gave me the more far bungalow. In the morning when I checked out same behaviour. Whao so bad.

Koh Tao Royal Resort is a charming and tranquil retreat that captures the essence of island living. Its 6 Minutes from the Pier, to the Restaurants and nightlife, yet maintains a peaceful atmosphere. The bungalows are simple but comfortable. Each bungalow has a private balcony, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. The rooms are equipped with the essentials, but if you’re looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you. However, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. The resort’s facilities are basic but sufficient. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with our fridge and they fixed it the next day und even cleaned our room. The location is one of the resort's strongest points. It’s situated at the quieter end of Sairee Beach, providing a more peaceful environment compared to the busier central areas. The combination of its excellent location, friendly service, and the charm of its simple bungalows makes it a great choice for those looking to unwind and explore the island at their own pace. Koh Tao Royal Resort is definitely worth considering.

No charging spot close to the bed. Some Bungalows are really up the mountain. When i gave them my laundry i got i back with stains

The rooms are basic but charming, the problem comes with the personnel... Absolute horribel experience. They threw the keys at me, no explanation about how to lock the door (it was a weird diff one) nor wifi (they didn't share it) when we called to ask for the lock cause it wasn't closing, the man shouted insanely at my face saying he was gonna sleep (it was 6pm and it was rhe only phone available in reception). Very mean people overall.

Next to the sea, it's perfect if you are on a calm/lazy step of your trip ! I wouldn't call this "Royal" resort and I think it's maybe a little bit expensive for the quality. Many geckos came into the room and pooped on the bedsheets... We had a power cut and the room light is so dim that we had to use flashlights.
