If you’re looking for something “royal,” this might not be the place. The location is fairly close to the pier, which is convenient when arriving on Koh Tao, but there’s not much to do within walking distance. The area is very quiet, with rooms high in the jungle, giving a peaceful, pastoral vibe.
However, the rooms were older bungalows; the mattress was firm and not very comfortable. The bathroom is next to the toilet, so it gets wet with each use. The AC worked very well, and there was hot water, though with low pressure. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but we hardly saw them during our stay. Overall, it was decent, but I think there are better options within this budget.
