Koh Tao Royal Resort

Great stay away from the noisy areas but still close enough to walk to restaurants, bars and 7-11. The bungalow is very basic, but had everything you needed and a very nice balcony with a hammock. AC wasn’t very good and the mosquito net above the bed had holes in it (you need it because you will get a fair amount of geckos and mosquitoes in the room). All in all, a great stay and would definitely recommend.

The most beautiful setting .. comfy bungalows, comfy hammock, fridge in room! Air con. Everything you need and surrounded by nature. Will be back!!

I’d rather cut off my arm than stay here again. Our room was INFESTED with insects and ants, the bathroom was an underground prisoners cell and air-con was simply useless. Don’t be fooled. Stay away.

We loved the location. One of the most beautiful beaches at Koh Tao. Direct walkable access to everything. And thank you Jida for welcoming us! You are adaptable and always ready to help. We extended our stay even. The bungalow and the bed sheets must be cleaner. Cleanliness is unfortunately below the standards. We really enjoy this stay! The bungalow are not cleaned enough, but for the rest it was well above our expectations. Thank you Jida for your adaptability!

Loved my stay here. The room has everything we needed including a fridge freezer which was really nice for us. The bed was comfy and the location was great. The beach was gorgeous and we loved sitting on the hammocks there. A 3 minute walk to the dive shop that we used which was amazing. Really lovely place to stay

If you’re looking for something “royal,” this might not be the place. The location is fairly close to the pier, which is convenient when arriving on Koh Tao, but there’s not much to do within walking distance. The area is very quiet, with rooms high in the jungle, giving a peaceful, pastoral vibe. However, the rooms were older bungalows; the mattress was firm and not very comfortable. The bathroom is next to the toilet, so it gets wet with each use. The AC worked very well, and there was hot water, though with low pressure. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly, but we hardly saw them during our stay. Overall, it was decent, but I think there are better options within this budget.

The bungalows are simple but comfortable. Each bungalow has a private balcony, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. The rooms are equipped with the essentials, but if you’re looking for luxury, this may not be the place for you. However, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works well. The resort’s facilities are basic but sufficient. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We had a problem with our fridge and they fixed it the next day und even cleaned our room. The location is one of the resort's strongest points. It’s situated at the quieter end of Sairee Beach, providing a more peaceful environment compared to the busier central areas. The combination of its excellent location, friendly service, and the charm of its simple bungalows makes it a great choice for those looking to unwind and explore the island at their own pace. Koh Tao Royal Resort is definitely worth considering.

I rarely saw so unbehaved people as the one at the reception ( maybe they seemed to be owners ). Honestly it was more than deceiving, Thailand is such an amazing country for hospitality. I booked my stay , arrived there and even I gave my name and passeport she said I had no reservation, there was no electricity on the I land due to rain ( no problem about that) so I kindly asked for a torch or candles as my phone had no battery and I could not recharge it since there was no electricity. It seemed I asked for an incredible thing and she almost throw the torch on me. They gave me the more far bungalow. In the morning when I checked out same behaviour. Whao so bad.
