Koh Yao Yai Village Beach Resort

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Koh Yao Yai Village. After travelling round Loas and Thailand for 1 month, we were after a relaxing place to stay and do very little. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and beach, and going out in the kayaks/paddle boards. Never had an issues getting a sun lounger or use of the bicycles/kayaks/paddle boards. Rooms are clean and comfy, and we loved the outdoor shower. Didn’t eat at the resort, but made the short walk to the main road each evening and tried multiple of the restaurants nearby - all of which were delicious. Staff were all warm and friendly and the breakfast was good quality.

What an amazing stay in paradise, we have just left this resort and wow it’s incredible. After 3 nights we can honestly say it wasn’t enough, our worry was that this small island would be lacking of things to do and restaurants but how wrong we were! Koh yao yai village was a little piece of heaven, when arriving to the island we had a private transfer to the hotel and once at the hotel we had a golf buggy to the reception and our room. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, his and hers basins, beautifully decorated and after leaving Krabi surprisingly a lack of bugs & wildlife inside the room. They also provide a lot of drinking water, some snacks and fizzy drinks for us to enjoy throughout the stay. The real show stopper is the pools and outside area, it’s beautifully decorated and nestled into the jungle. There is two pools and both were lovely, there is also bars for happy hour cocktails which were a really good quality and well worth the price within happy hours. There was a lovely staff member from Indonesia who was very attentive remembering our names and orders. The breakfast offerings were also plentiful and fresh, we ate out at one of hotel restaurants one evening and although the food wasn’t to our taste the service was brilliant. We had a couple of very minor issues, we had booked a private sunset boat tour for one of our days and required a taxi for 5:45, for a prompt start at 6am. This was arranged through front desk, but we unfortunately had a few issues with this showing up on the day resulting in a bit of stress - Sommai was incredible, although his English wasn’t the best he tried his best to solve this issue checking with the taxi, front desk and also helping communicate with get your guide which enabled us to delay our private boat till 7:00am. Although we missed most of the sunrise, we were able to make our trip with Sommai helping get hold of the taxi - once returning the front desk staff were open to our feedback and understanding the issue which was really appreciated. Overall, we’re extremely sad to be leaving this hotel and hope to come back soon.

Our stay at this place was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are luxurious and beautifully designed, with every detail carefully thought out. The entire property allows you to truly connect with nature while relaxing in complete comfort and tranquility. The food was delicious, and the service was both warm and highly professional. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. I highly, highly recommend this place — it was an unforgettable experience! P.S. Choosing this island was the best decision we could have made!

This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed in and by far exceeded expectations. The view, the rooms, the staff, pool and garden areas, the beach, services etc are all excellent and above. It is very child friendly but at the same time quiet and peaceful. Super romantic. The beach is wonderful and I can recommend it highly. You can swim in the sea as well as the pool. Thank you Koh Yao yai village for such a special time !!

Beautiful location od the hotel and wonderfull villas especially these with private pool. Good food and very helpful and nice staff. We felt here amazing. We also took part in snorkeling trip organized from the hotel and it was really well organised. We recommend this trip. in particular, thanks to the guide's considerable assistance, we did not have to worry about anything. Every step of the way, from leaving the hotel to diving stops, meals, and sun loungers on the beach, was organized for us. We were able to fully relax and enjoy the trip. We felt very comfortable in the company of our guide, who spent the day with us and answered all our questions.

This was our first trip to Koh Yao Yai. We booked our transfers (boat and taxi) from Phuket Airport through the hotel, and everything went smoothly and without stress. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly—their smiles were genuine, and we felt truly welcome from the moment we arrived.||The entire resort area is clean, and the surrounding jungle adds a lovely exotic touch. There are a couple of restaurants, an activity point, a gym, and a café on-site. We stayed for just under a week in a villa near the beach with its own private pool. The room was wonderful, complete with an outdoor bathtub. Housekeeping was impeccable, and there was a mosquito net over the bed.||Breakfast and the restaurant food were varied and delicious. We usually experience some stomach issues when visiting Thailand, but not here—everything felt very hygienic. The value for money was great.||The beach was beautiful and well maintained. It’s quite shallow for a long stretch, so you need to walk out a bit if you want to swim properly, but the resort also has a large shared swimming pool. We warmly recommend this hotel. The kindness of the staff and the sunshine gave us memories that will keep us going through the dark, slushy Nordic winter.||Thank you to Ochi and the entire hotel team!

We're enchanted by this place! The Thailand you've been dreaming of is right there. Comfortable, clean jungle cabins, the sounds of nature, wonderful breakfasts (honorable mention for the tea made with ten fresh herbs and flowers!), incredibly friendly staff, wonderful trips to and around Hong Kong Island (Mai, our hotel guide, was fantastic!), a unique spa (great massages and a beautiful, austere décor), a sea as warm as a jacuzzi, and an open-air bathtub in the cabin. A great place to stay with children, the area is quiet and relaxing. You get around the hotel in a golf cart, which is always available. We recommend the lobster dinner on the beach—a unique experience! Thank you for a wonderful seven days; we'll definitely be back!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time.
