Koh Yao Yai Village Beach Resort

This resort is the perfect tropical escape, tucked between lush jungle and the ocean – a true hideout for anyone looking to unwind in nature without sacrificing comfort. The villas are beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and offer a sense of luxury while blending harmoniously with the surrounding environment. The entire resort is aesthetically stunning, with a peaceful jungle vibe that instantly puts you in relaxation mode. We loved the gorgeous infinity pool, the on-site bars and restaurants, and the ability to borrow kayaks to explore the area. Because the resort is quite expansive, a shuttle service is available throughout the property, taking you comfortably between your villa and the main facilities – a thoughtful and convenient touch. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding – one of the best we've ever had! Every detail was perfect. We were also touched by the resort's warm hospitality – they surprised us with a birthday cake for my husband's special day, which made our stay even more memorable. There’s also a shuttle to Laem Haad Beach, which is definitely worth a visit. While the resort itself is a world of its own and incredibly relaxing, it’s worth noting that there’s not much around outside – but honestly, you won’t want to leave anyway. The only minor downside was the lack of a free shuttle from the pier, but once you arrive, the experience more than makes up for it. We had an amazing time and would return in a heartbeat! Highly recommended for couples, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a luxurious, peaceful retreat.

The hotel is in a secluded location on the island. The resort is very peaceful and quiet, which is exactly what we were after following a stay in Phuket. The resort provides a mix of beach and forest and is very much about nature. We had a 2 bed family villa. Our children had there own room and bathroom and we had our own bathroom with outdoor and indoor shower. The restaurants provided a great selection of Thai and western food that suited our children. Happy hour is 3 times day. The staff are very friendly and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The resort speed boat transfer was on time and really slick operation. Would highly recommend this resort.||The service is very slow, which would be my only criticism. They need more staff. However, if your not in a rush, then it doesn't really matter! You can sit and watch the beautiful voew as you wait for your food and drink.

Connection with Nature is the most amazing thing about this hotel. Rooms are great in terms of comfort and style. Both restaurants have great food. Staff is extremely friendly. Hotel has a free shuttle to a beautiful beach ( booking required). Spa is wonderful. If you don't like to be close to animals ( bugs, reptiles etc.. ) definitely not for you! I love it and would return next week if I could!

Lovely resort on a much quieter island that feels miles away but is only 30 mins from Phuket. Stunning hotel in that the location is truly special. I basically felt I was living in a jungle. The design and the layout of the beach, restaurants, villa and all the little details of mini buddhas, wooden fish for signs, beautiful plants and even had a rest room where they had books and free afternoon tea. Pool is fab and the design is great along with a truly generous and A+++ breakfast. Never seen so much variety and the beds are so comfy. All the little touches including sarongs to use, great beach towels, sandals to use.|You also got a free lift to the beautiful beach nearby and for a similar price to the public speedboat, you could get the resort transfer and speed boat which was very cool.|Only downside was my room was very very dark due to the jungle and was very far away from the main areas. |The only reason I have marked lower is due the crazy prices for food and the spa. Easily 4 X the cost of food and massages elsewhere. I appreciate that it costs more to get the food, the logistics to smaller islands with less infrastructure but the prices really were significant. The website also advertises wellness retreats and detox foods and I really didnt see any reference to this. The food is fab but the prices are just excessive and weird as the cost of the accomodation is really quite reasonable consider the high class location and grounds.

Amazing place for this who look for a quite place. We were in May, low season so we were quite alone here. Swimming pool is infinity style with great view to the sea. You should be prepared for tons of mosquito which is annoying. The room is huge and beautiful and very comfortable but not totally sealed to the outside world. So sometimes you will have small unexpected "visitors". Food is OK but without too many choices for vegetarian food. Only 1 more restaurant which is a grill sea food opening twice a week only. Again, great place for having quite vacation, not crowded in the low season with huge rooms.

This resort is absolutely a high rank.4 star hotel. we booked a beachfront Villa for 4 nights and it was absolutely gorgeous. Great staff , great service, good food , breakfast buffet is really good. They could improve by keeping the food hot. That’s the only comment I have on the breakfast buffet. Overall we loved our stay & highly recommended ❤️

Lovely hotel on a very relaxing island! The room was nice and clean with everything you needed.The pool and bar was nice and relaxing, with the beach right next door too. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, happy to drive you around in the gold carts to get you around the complex.The food at breakfast was good, for dinner it is ok but there are other restaurants on the island which have nicer food. If you can drive a bike you can explore easily. If not, then the hotel can help you get a taxi but you need an idea of where to go first.

We had a lovely time and the grounds are beautiful. it was not the best fit place for us personally, but two nights was good to relax and kick back in the quiet! yes it’s extremely quiet!! nice for if you like that, but there was nothing to do at night. friendly staff, especially the young man at reception (i can’t remember i think his name was Ochi?) and yummy breakfast. the woman live-cooking the morning noodles knows her stuff!! where a few things fell short is the bug situation. obviously not much can be done, but just a fair warning to bring lots of bug spray. as well, while drinks and views at the pool bar were wonderful, service was slowwww. the mattress, while super comfortable, needs a vacuum as some bits and bobs accumulate with the “natural”ness of the resort lol. hand towels were not replaced but beach towels were, i’m sure we could have asked for them. snacks were a nice addition but also not replaced.
