We went here on New Years Eve to see the city at midnight. We were not disappointed! We went to look earlier in the day and it was amazing then too. It’s free, it’s not far, it’s definitely worth a look.

For an excellent vantage point to capture a photograph of the old town, we recommend a location where the Tallinn sign is prominently displayed on the left, a spot that is quite popular with visitors.

Great views over Tallinn and easily accessible. Has a souvenir shop next to it with great prices. Was here a sunny day in November. Free to access.

A beautiful place to visit both in summer and winter. While it can be crowded with tourists, there are quiet corners where you can enjoy a peaceful view overlooking the city.

Quaint spot to take in the views of both the Old Town of Tallinn as well as the more modern areas of the city further off in the distance. When I visited the platform in the morning, there was a very talented musician and a very docile, friendly seagull accompanying the view. While it can get crowded in the evening, it was nearly deserted in the early morning hours. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Tallinn!
