Kohtuotsa viewing platform

A beautiful place to visit both in summer and winter. While it can be crowded with tourists, there are quiet corners where you can enjoy a peaceful view overlooking the city.

I visited on a snowy morning in February. Despite the cold, I really enjoyed the serene and beautiful atmosphere of this historic town. The viewpoint here is especially worth a visit. It's amazing that such a charming place is just a few hours away from Helsinki by ferry — I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary.

Get yourself up to the viewing platform early in the day to avoid the crowds. Head up to the Upper Town 1st thing and then spend your day walking downhill exploring the Lower Town.

The best viewing platform in Tallinn for viewing the whole city! You can see the red roofs of the old town and the modern city beyond, and all the way to the sea! Great for photos, not too crowded.

Quaint spot to take in the views of both the Old Town of Tallinn as well as the more modern areas of the city further off in the distance. When I visited the platform in the morning, there was a very talented musician and a very docile, friendly seagull accompanying the view. While it can get crowded in the evening, it was nearly deserted in the early morning hours. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Tallinn!
