"Macanese Snacks This Macanese bakery, or pastelaria, is renowned for making and bringing in the best of Macanese snacks to Hong Kong . Once just a seller of peanut brittle candy and ginger sweets, they now have shops all over Hong Kong and Macau selling traditional treats like nougat and almond cakes. We especially loved the limited edition packaging that is an ode to vintage design. After pondering between the choices, egg rolls and "salty cut biscuits", which are crispy and salty-sweet, ended up in our shopping basket. But who were we kidding? We also added some phoenix egg rolls, pineapple cakes and sesame biscuits to bring back for friends and family."

There are good selections in this store. It's actually not on Pak Sha Rd. It's actually around 41 block of Lee Garden Rd. The staff was polite.

Staff members were really friendly and helpful, they had a lot of tasters as well. Very generous with their portions for testing. Went for their almond biscuits, pastries and walnut biscuit. Be ready to spend quite a large amount of money on biscuits

We visit monthly to buy their peanut brittle, which comes in several flavors including seaweed. Do also try their preserved lemon, but that is harder to find as it gets sold out quickly and stocks are irregular. We have also looked for this in Macau but it was also out of stock there!

Food stuff form Macau, nice gifts to buy back home for the family.

Items are always high quality and delicious but the staff there don't give you any service, they just stand there chatting and have no suggestions for you. Low quality staff.

Hk or macau ppl may buy and treat them as hk or macau souvenirs. Nice packaging but the quality is average.

Offers hand- and machine-pressed almond cookies, and our favorite dried lemons, from Macau.

Yelp
REVIEWER # 1 Are you on vacation and looking for a good souvenir to bring back to your colleagues? Voila! Get these and they will love you! This bakery is an old bakery in China and has tons of history! They are famous for their egg roll and pork. Very close to Times Square and the MTR station! Koi Kei Bakery is well known in Hong Kong and Macau! This bakery is good and offers a large variety of different pastries and snacks ranging from: Almond cookies, Chinese pastry with pork, peanut candy and many more options. The Portuguese tarts and the cashew nut cookies were my favorite! You can get individual or box pastries. The staffs here are very nice and speak English so I had no problems asking questions. Please note, that this is not a bakery where you can sit down and enjoy your pastries. It's more of a quick pick me up. If you are unsure on how something taste, no worries because more of the Koi Kei Bakeries have samples of different items. Koi Kei Bakery is all over Hong Kong so you will not miss it! The open at 9AM and open as late as 9PM. Make sure if you go, get the egg tart! They seem to be really good! REVIEW 219/196
