I always make it a point to stop by The Lodge when I’m up in Kokee! The food, the coffee, the environment is so cozy. The employees are always so kind and make sure that you are taken care of. Recently, I stopped in and ordered their pancakes and a Mexican mocha. Wow!!! I have never ever had the most perfect pancakes! Whoever came up with this recipe needs a raise! They are light and fluffy without being dense and hard to swallow. I am certainly coming back for some more heavenly pancakes. Also, you can never go wrong with a Mexican mocha, The Lodge makes the best of the best!

What a great stop! We came around 10:00 am and there was a line. The staff was very friendly! I thought they did a great getting people through the line. I'm not a big cornbread fan, but the cornbread here was absolutely delicious. I got the Loco Moco and it was fantastic! If you go the burger route, it has a fabulous sauce on it. There were 8 of us, and everyone was very pleased with their choices. Thank you for a great experience!

Delicious food, good service, and big varied menu. Vegetarian and vegan opens available and allergy friendly options. Tried the kalau pork and the vegan chili for meals without soy, dairy, egg, gluten and peanuts. Kitchen was willing to answer questions and make adjustments to the dish when needed. Love the attached gift shop. Definitely worth a visit.

If you need food while you’re visiting Waimea Canyon Park, you should definitely consider stopping here. Food options are plentiful and unique, however, note they will sell out of items as the day progresses getting lunch after 1 pm puts you at risk of having less of a selection. Ahi salad was a standout, and we will try from the many other options next time we visit.

Ate at the restaurant after a morning hike on the Waimea Canyon Trail. Great variety on the food and drink menu. Everything was very tasty. Line and wait for food can get long, but well worth the time to rest after our hike.

Out of 80% of of their food menu items at 11am on Thursday May 2. I got the Thai chicken which was fatty chicken deep fried and overcooked with some cheap sauces poured on top and white rice for $17. Had to wait 35 minutes to get it. Only food in the park. This is what can happen when a business has no competition. The staff were very nice otherwise it would be 1 star.

We stopped at the restaurant to grab a quick lunch in the middle of our day with many more planned stops afterwards. There were 3 people in front of us ordering at the counter. You order at a cashier who gives you a number to put at your table. We had no problem finding two tables together for our party of 8 (2 families). We were given no indication of anything awry. Some people in our party went to feed the chickens, some people browsed the gift shop. Eventually, we noticed that many around us were waiting for their food, too. After ONE HOUR AND 20 MINUTES, we went to the counter to see what was going on and to request a refund. The cashier assured us that our food was coming out next. When we did get our food, it was just further disappointment. The tomato soup that was supposed to come with the grilled cheese was actually a sausage gumbo thing, the garlic noodles were sparse and mushy amongst mostly limp vegetables. My iced coffee had been sitting up there for 1.5 hours because I wasn’t told to go get it and assumed it came out like everything else did. Everyone described their food as meh. If only we had been told that their kitchen was so far behind, we could have made the choice of whether we stay or not. We ended up having to skip two of our planned stops because of waiting so long. It was deeply disappointing. We’ll never make the mistake of ordering food there again. *********UPDATE********* The manager responded quickly to this review. I responded to his request to contact him and he immediately offered a refund and apology for the experience. When a manager cares so much about guest’s experience, it definitely makes me feel more comfortable about returning and giving it a second chance.

Must stop here! My family and I dropped in for some food on our journey through Waimea Canyon State park, the location is very convenient as it is right off the main path. The staff were all very friendly, ready to make conversation and provide excellent service. The food was also delicious, I had the grilled cheese with chili and cheese, and a sweetened hot matcha latte. Both were made perfect to a tee. Highly recommend.
