These buns. The fluffy pork buns. They are the best buns. I have been coming to Koko Bakery to buy these buns for almost 10 years. The buns have never changed. Very consistent. I love consistency when it comes to my favorite foods. I could eat 5 of these buns in one setting if I didn’t control myself.

One of the best hidden gems in midtown//entire city of Cleveland! Everything is made from scratch, fresh daily or made to order , and beyond exceptionally delicious! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Koko Bakery! My favorite recommendations are Sesame balls, crepe cakes ,mango cheese tarts, mouses, and the handmade teas and specialty coffees that are in the soda and juice case. Unfortunately due to my schedule I am never able to come here in the morning but I have heard that all of the cases are filled with goodies and you serve yourself ; but you have to get there early because everything runs out fairly quickly because it is so good and fresh made. But no matter what time you come you can always get things from the case behind the counter and have drinks made to order they also have a nice selection of loaves of bread and cookies as well as whole cakes.

Authentic and delicious! Service is perfect every time. The buns are stuffed and soft. You can't go wrong when you try something different

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now! The quality has been top notch always! The best place for curry buns and sweet cream buns! They have the most amazing teriyaki chicken! It’s sweet with the freshest vegetables! I always get the banana bubble tea. Service is quick, and there is quite a bit of seating. They also have some fancy mousse and macaron desserts, along with a variety of other green tea/red bean/green bean/almond breads and treats. You can also get cold steam buns to take home!

Boba is amazing here, nice soft and chewy in the best way. The tea is a really good blend of flavor. Bakery items are delicious and vas.

Love this bubble tea/ dessert spot in Chinatown Cleveland. I am a big fan of their fresh fruit tea, Jasmine tea with cheese foam and matcha milk tea with brown sugar. There are so much more options for brewed tea, fruit tea or milk tea, as well as coffee to choose from. You can add toppings of your choice, adjust the amount of ice and sugar to your drinks. There are home made bakery available (but if you go later in the day some items might be sold out.) They also offer food, tried their chicken teriyaki and it was pretty good value. In the cooler next to the bread showcase has some vegetable and pork buns ready to eat, as well as some snacks and package drink if you are in a rush. There are plenty of seating inside and the place is clean, although it looks quite old. Staffs are very nice. This is a must spot to visit when you come to Cleveland

Google
A Hidden Gem for Sweet Treats! I recently visited Koko Bakery in downtown Cleveland to buy a birthday, and it was an excellent decision! Here’s why: Pineapple Cake: The pineapple cake stole the show! Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet—it was the perfect centerpiece for our celebration. The arrangement was lovely, too. Variety of Treats: Koko Bakery offers an impressive array of baked goods. From coconut buns to sesame balls, there’s something for everyone. Bubble Tea Bliss: If you’re a bubble tea enthusiast, Koko Bakery is a must-visit. Their bubble teas are top-notch—better than any chain store. The right balance of sweetness and ice makes them irresistible. Atmosphere: The bakery has a cozy, welcoming vibe. Glass cases display beautifully garnished treats, and self-service shelves beckon with tempting options. Staff: The staff is quick and efficient. While the customer service could be warmer, the delicious treats more than make up for it.

Yelp
The best boba tea in Cleveland by a long shot! Got the Orange Creamsicle Drink & the Almond Milk Tea and I can happily say that everything was sweet, flavorful, and absolutely everything I look for in a good tea. The place is so cute and spacious so you and a group of friends can stop by for a drink and something to snack on, and the workers were fast and incredibly helpful! Thanks again for such a great experience!

Yelp
We usually try to stop at Koko Bakery when we are in Asiatown. Our kids like the bubble tea and buns. Usually the bakery is very busy. This time we were able to walk right up to the counter. The buns are always fresh and they have a large assortment of bakery items and tea options. There don't seem to be any vegan options. The green tea is good and not too sweet for my taste. Parking is available in the lot out front. It is sometimes hard to hear the person at the register because of the plastic partition.

Yelp
Koko bakery was on my list of places to check out while visiting Cleveland. It's a fairly small bakery but there is seating available if you want to stay for breakfast or lunch. We got here a little late in the day , around 630pm, and they close at 8pm, so almost all the fresh baked pastries were gone, except for a few with ham on them which I'm not willing to risk eating since they are sitting in a non-refrigerated display since the morning, bummer! The gentleman working the counter said if we come in the a.m. it is packed full of fresh pastries and customers, I believe it because from the photos on Yelp and Google the pastries look amazing. I decided on the chocolate mousse cake ($6.95) and a large Vietnamese iced coffee ($3.75). The cake was large enough for three of us to sample, but I could have easily eaten one by myself it was delicious! The coffee was also amazing, it was not too sweet and very strong we asked if we could add a little more cream and it was no problem.. The coffee is made ahead of time and sealed with a thin plastic cover on the top. You basically take a straw and punch a hole in the plastic to enjoy your drink. I had never seen this before but I guess it's a way to make it ahead of time and still keep it fresh. This is a family-owned store and they were very friendly and helpful. There are also bathrooms available for customers. If I ever come back to Cleveland I would revisit this store but arrive early.

Roanne A.

Yelp
Great pastry and the bubble teas are amazing. The service is quick and the staff are very respectful. The ambiance of the store is also awesome. It gives you that quaint mom and pops vibe.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Cleveland, Koko's is a bakery located in a little plaza with a small parking lot out front. The prices are insanely affordable, the service is ridiculously fast, and their buns are so so yummy. I bought eight buns, a coffee, and a Vietnamese iced coffee for around $24. The buns were all delicious. The Vietnamese iced coffee could've been better but it was still drinkable. The inside is bright and airy with a few tables.

Yelp
Located in Asia Town in a small plaza with other stores and a small parking lot. They have bubble tea and Chinese bakery items like pineapple buns and egg tarts. Egg tart was good. They make their pineapple buns a little differently, they don't have the typical crunchy crust. Also tried the chocolate moose dessert which was good too. Bathroom was clean.

Ethan Z.

Yelp
This bakery is very opportunistic for anyone looking for Asian flavors and treats!!! My family and I came in for a quick sweet fix. We tried their egg tarts (delicious) and ordered a milk tea and fruit tea. My sister loved her fruit tea, very citrusy and plenty sweet with only 50% sweet level. My black sesame milk tea was good, but very underwhelming. I think the black sesame flavor was almost too subtle. The service here was pretty quick, and as with almost all bakeries too it's best to arrive early for the most available selection of pastures!!

Rachel P.

Yelp
My partner and I were craving boba so one Saturday afternoon, we decided to stop by here. I was very curious about the taro flavor and the staff member let me have a sample before I ordered. We got the fresh taro with cream and it was SO GOOD! It was equivalent to the boba shops in Bay Area, CA. I was so happy Cleveland had a good boba shop. We will definitely be going back!

Caleigh S.

Yelp
Best shaved ice I've ever had in my life. The buns are all soft and fluffy and comforting. I had the egg and turkey buns, the green onion bun and the mango tart, while taking a few bites of my friend's taiwanese shaved ice. I've been back a good probably 8 or so times since I began writing this review a couple months ago, and I can't stay away. Every time I go I grab a handful of warm, chewy buns and the taiwanese shaved ice with mango, strawberry, and mango jelly. The service is always quick, even when there is the occasional line to the door, and the buns are self service so you can just grab as many as you'd like and check out! I can not possibly recommend the shaved ice enough, in my opinion it easily beats out ice cream as the most refreshing summer snack.

Ailin J.

Yelp
Love getting quick yummy Asian pastries at Koko. The staff is nice and fast. Try a warm milk tea with boba! That was a first from me here and it was quite tasty!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Delicious bubble teas and baked goods! Many choices of both! Inside seating available. The staff members were friendly and helpful. I bought cookies to go, as well as a beverage. Sat for a few minutes to eat one of the cookies and it tasted great with my drink. Both were very fresh! Really liked the choices of cookies and drinks here. Will be back here very soon!

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for the best bubble tea shop in Cleveland, and I think I've found it! Koko Bakery is a small local owned business with various Asian baked goods, lunch, and drink options! I tried out their Thai Tea, Honeydew Smoothie, Powered Sugar Donut, and Teriyaki Chicken during this visit. All of them were good and delicious! I did wish I had the option to opt out or in for boba in my drink, but when I went up to order my second drink I just mentioned no boba and they obliged. Just be aware they won't ask if you want it if you're not a fan. Overall, it was a quick service to go restaurant style. If you're interested in the bakery items, most are self serve with a tray and gloves. There was seating, but it was very makeshift and odd with random tables and chairs everywhere, some even broken and wobbled when you sat, but all had crumbs covering them. It was a bit of a disappointment that the place was not clean considering they had such great cuisine. The entire hour and a half I was there I only saw one employee come by and clean off the tables. I guess most customers just come for to go orders, so makes sense that cleaning the dining area isn't a priority. I would recommend trying out Koko Bakery for their bubble tea and food!

Leping W.

Yelp
i asked fo small bubble tea and i got medium i don't really like this place srry koko bakery

Kim L.

Yelp
The owner(s) should re-train the employees on how to be more responsible for the mess-up on a "BIRTHDAY CAKE". Not forcing the client to take the mess-up cake they didn't order and not willing to give discounts. It is the "BIRTHDAY CAKE" guys, come on! $118 not $1.18 OK? Note: Been here for 3.5 years.

Yelp
I had some free time so I decided to drive downtown and I had a taste for Chinese food which this place has always been a great place to go it was pretty busy it was alittle after 1pm and busy for good reason the rolls are so good they are super fresh and soft and taste amazing the strawberry drink that I got was very good one you mix it then it taste like a strawberry milk shake the chicken bowl was good also I do not remember what the one with the almonds was call but if you see it try it that has to be the best thing I have had there hands down amazing the employees were very nice and helpful its a great place to go if your looking for something to eat I highly recommend giving it a try you'll love it there.

Mina P.

Yelp
The best boba and asian bakery in Cleveland! They make fresh sweet or savory pastries daily. The service here is impeccable, everyone is so friendly! There was a miscommunication when making my drink and they remade it without question, along with giving me the other one. It's hidden in the corner of Asia Town and the inside feels super cozy. Great place to meet people and/or just hangout with the community!

Alisa C.

Yelp
This was a stop on our Take-A-Hike tour yesterday. Koko bakery had free samples for tour guests. Amazing! Delicious cream buns and cheese tarts. My sons love the boba and bubble teas and desserts so it was a pleasant surprise that we got free samples. Desserts are pricey but worth it. The bakery is super reasonable and always a good selection but when they're out, they're out so I recommend going early. One of my favorite Asiatown stops.

Ayşe Selen Z.

Yelp
Delicious and authentic bakery with many options for lunch food as well as beverages. Love their bubble tea it never disappoints! The service is quick even tho sometimes I walked in and there is a line out the door. I suggest to do a take out because the tables and chairs are quickly taken. Upon entrance you pick up your bakery goodies on the left on a tray and wait in line to be ring up. So see what pleases the eye will also please the belly!

Allyson L.

Yelp
This is just for the boba drink. There are a few places for boba in Cleveland. Saw good reviews. I ordered the guava boba tea and it didn't really taste like guava. The boba was a decent texture though. I think my standards are just too high because I'm spoiled by the boba in the Bay Area. I'm sure their pastries are probably yummy and that's why they have good ratings!

Nicole S.

Yelp
I LOVE KOKO!! The best selecton of bubble tea around, and the soft warm buns are heavenly! Turn around is fast and dine in is open!!!

Charles Y.

Yelp
The boba is not what you expect and the chai is not good. the "boba" is chewy. I didn't like what I got and the cheesecake is mid and small.

Julie S.

Yelp
Not sure what happened but this used to be my usual go to place when it comes to bakery and boba. The bakery hasn't been the same lately. The last 2 times I came here, I noticed the egg tart recipe may have changed because it's not a "custard" consistency anymore, but more of a "soupy jelly" consistency. When I looked at the display of bakery to choose from, it's always over cooked and dry. What I found kind of irritating is that the young girls at the cashier area never seal your bakery bags anymore even though they still have the sealing tool in front of them. So, don't plan on getting an abundance of bakery items because they will probably be too dried out or stale the next day. Overall, the only thing that stayed consistent is the boba here. The taro and Thai tea is still delicious, but other than that, I hope whatever is happening with this business gets better because they used to be the best Asian bakery in town.

Connor D.

Yelp
Great buns and delicious rice bowls! One of my favorite places in CLE. I recommend the boba smoothies as well. My favorite is the taro flavored.

Stvrgxzed N.

Yelp
The bubble tea and the food is absolutely amazing. The service is very good! The ambiance is very calming and pleasant.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Very straight forward asian bakery with the typical stuff.. buns, boba, etc. You don't come here expecting good friendly service. You come here for the food and drank. The place is a bit outdated. You can tell it's been here for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't see any fresh pork buns, but we also came pretty late in the day, so I'm sure that's why. My particular boba drink was pretty good, and I'm sure I'd return if I visit my friend in Cleveland again.

Yelp
Koko Bakery is located in the same small strip mall as Map of Thailand with parking. My husband found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out today around 5:55 pm, because he wanted some milk tea. When we walked in, there was an employee mopping the floor, but she didn't warn us and there wasn't a caution sign to warn customers. The 2 employees behind the counter just stared at us as we walked in. After we looked at the menu board, we ended up ordering: Medium Hot Almond Milk Tea w/ Boba, $4.75 prior to tax- I opted for a hot drink since it rained. I requested my drink to be made with 50% sweetener. I thought the sweetness level was perfectly fine for me. I was a bit surprised to find boba at the bottom of the cup though because the menu did not mention that the drink came with a topping. The boba was cooked perfectly. When I picked up my drink from the other side of the counter, I was surprised that my drink didn't have one of those cardboard sleeves because my drink was very hot. I ended up pulling out a paper towel from my purse and folded it to wrap around my drink so I could pick it up. Large Grass Jelly Drink, $6.95 prior to tax- When we initially ordered this, the employee who took my husband's order had to check if they had grass jelly. She told us that she can make the drink. My husband requested for this drink to be made with no ice since they are unable to make it hot. Although he had requested for it to be made with 50% sweetener, the employee misheard and made it with 25%. When it was ready, my husband was surprised to be slurping up a peanut through the straw. Because there was no description of this drink on the menu, my husband just assumed he was only getting grass jelly in his milk tea. But not only were there peanuts (which I do not recommend drinking through a straw and also glad that my husband does not have a peanut allergy), red bean and raisins (why would you put that in a drink?). It was so filling that my husband was full and didn't finish all the toppings added to the drink. Not sure if this is normally what is in the grass jelly drink or if they didn't have enough grass jelly that they decided to put everything in it.... but wanted to mention that. Also my husband thought the 25% sweetener was fine. --------------------------------- (Total $11.70 after tax) Service could have been better but Chinese places (please note that the employees here speak both English and Cantonese) aren't best known for their customer service. I was surprised that most of the shelves were empty and was expecting to see more baked goods. But we did show up 2 hours before closing so not sure if they sold out or not. Overall, thought our experience was just okay, thus my 3 star rating.

Walter T.

Yelp
Wow, first class Chinese bakery in Asiatown, Cleveland. Come early for freshly baked baked goods like roast pork buns, red bean paste, sesame balls and many other delicacies.

Tina P.

Yelp
We went in late on a Monday and they still had some items available. I got the tiramisu and the raspberry mousse. Both were delicious and I would get them again.

Fox E.

Yelp
I know a bakery that will drive you LOCO Although it may give you more gas than SUNOCO And if you buy too many drinks, it may make you a BROKE HO But you won't mind because you'll love KOKO Almost as delicious as Ice T's COCO Even more delicious than Sheldon's Kaley CUOCO Your waistline will hate you like Lennon's fans hated YOKO But you won't care once you taste the Taro tea at KOKO Better than every single Boba place in SOHO Makes a lot of Boba stores just vanish like a DODO More popular in Cleveland than POKEMON GO Come and get your baked goods here at KOKO They should use me posing with the drinks as their LOGO They should open up in Singapore, Taipei and KYOTO They will make your belly fat bounce around like a YO-YO But you will not regret the day you tried the tea at KOKO If you're a Latino then you're want more than POCO You'll gulp it down faster than the raging ORINOCO And all your former crushes will say you "used to be a SMOKESHOW" But you won't mind your excess weight, your one true love is KOKO You'll spend all your money here and you'll end up a HOBO You'll stick a flute inside your p**sy, or maybe an OBOE You'll find out the boba is your same gender and turn HOMO Because there's nothing in the world you wouldn't do for KOKO WHAT This is a lovely little bakery that I've been coming to for many years, which I think is so cute and so friendly, with great employees too. Definitely one of the better places that I have come to for products such as Asian Bakery items. The bubble tea here isn't amazing by the standards of other parts of the country, or even some of the national chains, but by Cleveland standards it's pretty good. And if it were the Coco Bakery, I'd order anything but Ice T, because I prefer my Coco without Ice T. This has been one of my favorite bakeries in Ohio for a long time. It's in Cleveland right in the heart of the Asian district, and they have extremely friendly service and lots of cute customers and good Bakery items - and pretty decent bubble teas especially by Cleveland standards which are very low. Other than KFT, you can't really get a good Bubble Tea in Cleveland but these are pretty decent and this is one of my favourite hangout spots whenever I'm in town. What to get: Bubble Tea (especially Honeydew and Taro), Egg Custard Tart. What not to get: A Cocky Cuckoo Advice: Up the bubble tea game, add a Brown Sugar Milk Tea, make the regular Milk Tea taste a bit more substantial. I had a Guava Smoothie the most recent time I visited. It wasn't great and I wouldn't get it again. But I'm not really a smoothie person. The Egg Custard tart however, and the Honeydew Milk Tea, were both 5-star excellent, so I'm raising Koko to a 5. Koko Bakery has plenty of things going for it: - The girls working here are super friendly and nice, the service is the strongest point. Last time I was here, they gave me a cup holder even though there was no need to. It came in very handy and saved my day - It has good Bubble Tea in a town that doesn't have good Bubble Tea - Lots of baked goods, not the best I've ever had but there are some good items here, especially the Custard tart - Lots of cute people come here Ironically I only got the Taro the first time I came, because the girls working here insisted I try it. They were right, it's good. On the downside, the regular Milk Tea is a little weak and bland, and their Bubble Tea game is good for Cleveland, but not so much compared to the chain KFT not too far away. Definitely worth trying if you like Asian Bakeries and Bubble Teas and happen to be in the CLE, known to some as The Land. Not to be confused with Cuckoo Bakery, where you can buy birds and noisy clocks, Cocky Bakery, where they say they have the best baked goods in the world but can't really back it up, and Cock Bakery, which is owned by a Rooster. Or is it a sex shop, I forget. But anyway.

Ina S.

Yelp
i absolutely adore this bakery!! great food & boba at good prices. it's usually a bit noisy and difficult to order but it's not that big of a deal, the staff is always very nice. my favorites are the raspberry cheese tarte, bbq pork buns, and taro or honeydew boba!

Ris E.

Yelp
This place is so cute! There's more room to sit in there than I expected, plenty of space! So many options of pastries and baked goods- wish I could have gotten them all! Friendly staff and yummy drinks too!

Geez L.

Yelp
They have AMAZING stuff! DO try this place out! You're gonna love it! They have smoothies, coffee, various pastries to choose from....very fun stuff!

Eileen O.

Yelp
Best bubble tea in town! My favorite place to grab a Thai Tea Bubble Tea. Koko has followed all Covid protocols and even updated their window clings/decor the last time I was there, to showcase their new flavors. Currently open 9 am - 8 pm Wednesday through Monday.

Genevieve S.

Yelp
Ok, I get it, we're all here for the pork buns and boba. They're amazing. So soft, so meaty, so sweet and blobby, respectively. But, but! Please come hungry, and don't ignore the lunch menu! These teriyaki bowls are legit.

Phil Y.

Yelp
Family vacation 2021...bringing the California variant of COVID-19 to your city. It had been about a week since we left California. We wife and daughter needed their boba milk tea. Koko Bakery looked promising. So it was a surprise to us to find out that there was both an "Asiatown" and a promising spot for boba in the Cleveland area. It was almost like being at home seeing cheese foam and brown sugar milk tea on their menu. Koko's was both tea place and Asian bakery. We ordered a couple of their boba milk teas. The teas were decent. It wasn't as good as some of the places that I've been to in California. But, they were good enough. Service was typical Chinese. Prices were fair. Koko's will do if you need your fix of boba milk tea.

Kathy M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The ladies are amazing and make me feel like family. Everything is so fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you try. If your not sure what certain items are, they are great and explaining so you can feel like a bakery professional there. There has even been times that I tell them to surprise me with selections so I can try something new. A must try. You won't be disappointed.

Kylie H.

Yelp
My go-to boba spot in Cleveland! Not only they sell boba, they also have a huge selection of baked goods and pastries. Their drinks are on the sweeter side so I would definitely recommend going down on sugar level (25-50%). My favorite drink from here is peach rose green tea with lychee jelly. It's so refreshing and delicious so I highly recommend trying it out!

Brittany T.

Yelp
Just order a drink there and honestly the whole experience was horrible and uncomfortable. It was severely understaffed (only one employee was working the corner) and the drink I ordered tasted like dawn soap was the main ingredient. After a few sips ( to make sure it wasn't a fluke) I asked for a refund and was denied. I used to have such happy memories of this place and it's quite sad to see how downhill the establishment has gone.

Amy J.

Yelp
Wide and unique selection of pastries, tarts, teas and other sweet beverages, and buns. Not cheap but not terribly priced e.g. $2.50 for a cream filled bun (vs $2 at Good Harvest about 0.4mi down the same road). Vietnamese tea was creamy and sugary sweet as expected. Bring your insulin and portion control. The peanut butter and flour bun was a bun with a filling of peanut butter mixed with sesame seeds and I presume some sort of flour. It was not sweet which was like eating peanut butter with bread- I nearly choked on the dense absorptive mass I bit off. If it just had some jelly or even butter it would be way less hazardous to eat. The barbecue pork bun had just a sniff of barbecue pork chunks which was underwhelming. You must go before evening to buy buns or pastries as they're consistently hard and not enjoyable when I don't go earlier in the day.

Emily W.

Yelp
What I really love here is the coffee smoothies with bubbles. I used to think I liked this place because it was the only bubble tea place in town but I've lived in China and Chicago and honestly this competes well with the options there too!

Camy C.

Yelp
We stopped by here on our way back to CT from Michigan. It is a nice little bakery and had a bunch of breads, cookies, drinks, and hot foods to choose from. We got an assortment of various buns (taro mochi, pork floss, curry) and curry puff. Buns were fluffy and tasty. Though smaller than NYC ones, were priced lower as well. Then we ordered two lunch bento boxes to go so we can take it to enjoy at the Brandywine waterfalls in the Cuyahoga national park. The rice boxes took a good 15 min to make but were hot and fresh. I enjoyed my curry chicken which came with the same stir fried veggies that came with my hub's pork katsu rice, but mine were stir fried in the curry sauce. We also got a matcha brown sugar drink from the bakery. It was way too sweet!! But after adding in some more tea, it was great. The bakery is located next to Daegu which also offers many bubble tea options so you can also go next door for specialty drinks while picking up yummy baked goods from here. Also offered were: sticky lotus leaf wrapped rice balls (Taiwanese style 台式粽子and other styles too), and sticky rice roll 飯糰. Lots of options!

Tricia F.

Yelp
I went to Koko's for breakfast last week. I liked the almond and the coconut pastries I tried. My sister had a cinnamon pastry and an iced hazelnut latte. She is not a cold coffee drinker but she mentioned that it was very good. The only drawback was it is self serve and I kept dropping the pastries back on the tray where they usually landed upside down. They are softer than you think, if you are used to American pastries. The only other issue was that they don't open until 9am so I didn't get more than one chance to go there. Overall, it was very good and I would like to return and have a bubble tea and another pastry.

Meiya L.

Yelp
I LOVE the authentic pastries here, I didn't think I'd get to enjoy them again after coming home from China. The dried meat bun is my go-to, I didn't think I'd find it here in the States! For customers seeking items that are more familiar to American cuisine, the savory buns like Corn & Ham or Scallion, are good options, and the Chinese Donuts are basically just cinnamon-sugar donut sticks. They actually use REAL fruit in their passion fruit smoothie, too! My friend who got the strawberry milk tea said it tastes just like the ones in China. Judging from their strawberry roll cake that I bought for a friend's bridal shower and my mom's review of the coconut cream bun, their dessert pastries are also amazing! Lots of fruit and less sugary than most American desserts. The only thing that I wasn't super impressed with was their meals, but it's a bakery not a restaurant so the meals aren't the main attraction. They were okay and they're fine if you're looking for a quick and cheap meal with decent proportions, but if you want good American Chinese food, the Sichuan Cafe in Asia Plaza is a good place. (If you want authentic Chinese, try LiWah, Sichuan Gourmet, or LJ Shanghai). My dad also advised against the coffee and stick to tea and smoothies.

Yelp
Giving this place a 5! Visiting from California and NEEDED coffee before heading to the children's museum. GPS brought me here and I was NOT disappointed. Prices for the individual specialty buns are unbeatable. Coffee is like 40% less expensive than the chains and the buns are delicious! They had rice bowls on the menu priced at $7.95 each with a large selection. I will try those later but this place is an unexpected win for me!

Yelp
Lots of great baked goods! Unfortunatly, a lot of the pastery selves were empty when we came in the late afternoon. The jasmine green tea w/cheese foam was great though.

Yelp
Only place to get Asian baked goods for me. I like most of what they offer however I highly favor the pork sung bun here! Pork sung looks like brown lint, puffy and has a unique sweet and salty flavor. They top that on a normal bum that is soft and subtly sweet. Everything I have gotten there has been awesome. See pictures. :)

Yelp
My #1 go-to place in the whole city!! Amazing authentic Chinese pastries that remind me of street food I miss! The fried pork buns are my personal favorite, but their (cinnamon sugar) donuts have a unique flavor to them that I also love. Their steamed buns are also incredible, the Big Bun packs several filling in one. The only thing I'd stay away from is the coffee and the lunch/dinner meals. They're not bad, but the pastries and tea are where Koko shines!
