Kokoro Hand Roll Bar (Al Serkal Ave)

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The fish was incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared and full of flavour. You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into the ingredients. A special shoutout to our server, Ivanne, who made the experience even better. He was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable and he recommended a few special menu items that were phenomenal. His service was warm, thoughtful and made us feel genuinely taken care of. From the food to the service, everything was top-notch. Highly recommend!!! We’ll definitely be back!

I first visited during the soft opening and recently came back after a couple of years. Calling it a “hand roll bar” now feels like a bit of a stretch. While they do serve hand rolls, it’s missing the signature bar experience where rolls are thoughtfully timed and presented one by one. The fish quality is decent, but not particularly memorable. Overall, it feels more focused on volume and efficiency than on delivering a standout customer experience.

Delicious! Absolutely everything was so delicious! The ambiance is really cozy, quite cold though. We decided for two sets of 5 handrolls to make it worthy. All of them were reaaaally good, even the avocado one, was memorable. The portions are quite small, so if you're a big eater, get ready to order several times 😉. The sushi masters are friendly and interact with you. Cherry on top, all the rubber ducks scattered around.

Such a cool place in Al Serkal Avenue and definitely you need to check it out! 1st come 1st serve basis, we had to wait an hour and a half but definitely worth the wait we walked around in Alserkal before we had our table. Loved both salads on their menu, handrolls are so delicious( like all) , I ordered twice the waggu handroll 😋 & don't miss the Moshi my favourite is the passion fruit! Nice vibe and staff are very friendly!

This is a late review but one that Kokoro truly deserves. Kokoro hits home every time. The menu and the rolls are of course amazing but the attention to detail and the service is exceptional. The staff there truly cares and is willing to go beyond to give you a 5 star experience. This is all customers need, good food and happy faces.

I’ve been to many handroll bars, but Kokoro truly stands out. 🍣 Every dish was a perfect balance of flavor texture and presentation. The Wagyu nigiri simply melted in the mouth along with the maguro was fresh and delicate for desserts we had the passion fruit mochi was the perfect light refreshing finish to an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere at Kokoro feels refined yet intimate elegant without being pretentious. A special mention to Mohcine, whose professionalism and warm hospitality elevated the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service reach this level of excellence. Kokoro has set a new standard for me in handroll dining.

Today we visited Kokoro, and honestly the experience was absolutely lovely 🤍 From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such genuine warmth that it truly felt like we were meeting friends, not just staff. Paulo, Paul, and Mark Ashook were beyond amazing , incredibly kind, attentive, and caring. They didn’t just provide service; they created a feeling of comfort, familiarity, and happiness. Their smiles, positive energy, and sincere way of interacting made the whole experience special and memorable. It’s rare to find a place where you feel this genuinely welcomed and appreciated. They made us feel seen, valued, and at ease, and that alone makes us want to come back again and again. I recently visited this restaurant and was blown away by the hand rolls! They were, without a doubt, the yummiest and most perfectly crafted rolls I've ever had. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, and the ingredients were so fresh. I can't wait to go back for more.
